Eximius have provided care for both my parents since October this year, my mother at 85 has early dementia, and my father at 88 now finds certain tasks hard following several falls. At the outset of my first contact, the support staff have all been dynamic and have put themselves out to find the right carer to fit in with both parents. The carer provided has bonded with both and is very respectful of allowing them time on their own but being there when necessary. She has provided ideas for their care to make life easier for them and deals well with both their medical and hygiene needs.
Eximius have organised live-in care for my elderly mother, who has stroke disabilities. They have been very good at organising the care and systems, and importantly when issues have occurred, they have reacted quickly to sort them out. I am very pleased with their service.
Eximius took care in understanding my father's needs, likes etc. On the whole, they selected carers who shared his interests and also who showed genuine interest in him and his "history". They showed respect regarding intimate care and went over and above in the attention they gave to him. He has quite a complicated medical routine, which was taken on board with ease. When we had an issue (not of their making), they were very swift to sort it out, so that continuity of care remained.
My mother, aged 96. Eximius has been caring for her over the past 3 years or so. I cannot fault the care and speed of response that they have shown from the start. My brother, sister and I have all developed an excellent working relationship with the team. We have all felt that as our mother's needs have changed, Eximius has made sure that she has received the appropriate care.
We have had an excellent experience with Eximius from initial contact through to my mother's ongoing daily care - through very difficult Covid times. They are professional, knowledgeable and caring, and I have no hesitation in recommending them.
We have used Eximius to provide live-in care for my mother, who has Alzheimer's, and her partner since 2019. The first carer was good, but not the right personality fit for my Mum and her partner. Since then carers have been uniformly excellent, good personality fits and exceptionally committed. One carer stayed from the beginning of the Covid 19 outbreak until October 2020 with only a two-week break in July 2020. I also value the office staff, in particular, the care manager and the office manager. They are always available, happy to chat through any issues, and very pleasant to deal with.
It's always been easy to reach people in the company when needed, and they are efficient when dealing with paperwork.
A very capable and caring team of professionals. Their attention to our needs has been prompt and appropriate. They understand both the technical aspects of care as well as the softer, more human aspects. I would recommend them to anyone with similar needs.
Eximius provided me with invaluable help and guidance without receiving any payment.
The staff gave their time willingly and were kind and considerate.
I would highly recommend them.

“For the past 13 years, I’ve seen the enormous positive impact live-in support has on people’s lives. Following a 16-year career in sales and marketing, I started a care franchise in 2002 and one of my first-ever clients needed a live-in carer. Since then, it has always been a passion of mine.
I operated the business for 13 years, employing over 100 carers, and had more than 350 clients at any one time. Our clients came from all walks of life and needed different specialised care. Whether recuperating from a spell in hospital or hindered by a long-term condition or disability, giving them the support they needed at home in familiar surroundings near friends and family couldn't be beaten. It's why I am so passionate about live-in support. It is important to keep your loved one in their home surroundings. I look forward to welcoming you.
We are a bespoke live-in care company. Unlike other companies, we meet all our clients and are committed to ensuring our companions live by the culture and service levels I have set. I want all our clients to be delighted by our service and ensure they are treated with dignity and respect.”
“I am passionate about making a difference in the lives of others. I began my career as a care worker over 20 years ago, having been bought up in a family where everyone was either a doctor or a nurse.
I began as a domiciliary worker and worked in various areas, such as mental health, stroke care, dementia care and end of life. I moved into care recruitment, enabling me to hone my skills in matching carers to clients. I eventually managed live-in care and continuing health, working with nurses and carers for clients with spinal injuries, head injuries, MS and other conditions.
Being given the opportunity to turn my aptitude for caring for others into a career has allowed me to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Gaining the necessary knowledge and experience to perform a more involved role in a managing capacity has motivated me to continue working and learning to the same high standard and allowed me to make an even greater difference in the lives of our service users.
I joined Eximius in 2018 as a Care Manager, as I was looking for a company which shared my vision and ethos for exceptional live-in care.”
“I started working in the care sector 23 years ago. Throughout my career, I’ve mainly worked within domiciliary settings and hospital environments. My first introduction into care was as a care worker working in the community delivering support to adult/elderly service users, covering a wide variety of complex needs including, multiple sclerosis, motor neurone disease, brain injury, palliative care, and varied levels and types of dementia.
I also have experience working in a large local hospital as a healthcare assistant, which I did for 4 years. My focus there was mainly within the Emergency Division, supporting patients on admission with observations and monitoring. This role allowed me to work alongside many clinicians, including nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and Doctors.
I do feel that people thrive and live better lives from good support from within the community. I have worked as a Field Supervisor throughout my years and have been privileged to assist people to resource help and support and to live their lives as they choose to."
I have gained several qualifications from level 2 in health and social care and am currently working on level 3.
Candice started off as a domiciliary carer and moved her way up the ranks to the senior carer, FCS, and Care Co-Ordinator. She has worked in a nursing home and in domiciliary care.
“I love working in the care industry as no two days are ever the same. It is rewarding to work for a company that believes in values and person-centred care and going that extra mile to make a client happy and their staff.”
Dawn joined the Eximius Team in August 2021. She has been working in the care sector for 6 years. She has experience in caring for people with a wide range of complex needs including MS, Motor Neurone Disease, brain injury, spinal injury, challenging behaviour, Palliative care and Dementia.
Dawn started her care journey in Mental Health. She moved her way up to Team Leader, to Care Coordinator and now to Care Supervisor.
