As his dementia progressed, my father lost the ability to walk, talk and function. Freedom increased their hours without hesitation and met every challenging behaviour with grace and respect. They are genuine ladies who have one objective, “to provide the best care to the patient and family”.
The final week was extremely difficult for us, and we were able to care for my father at home because we had the support from Freedom. The manager would check on us 24/7. As a family, we will be indebted to Freedom. We were blessed to have the manager, and my father's two main carers, care for both parents. Please use Freedom - they’re amazing!

Freedom Care are by far the best carers that my Mum had during her struggle with dementia. Not only did they forge a real friendship with her but they also were proactive and able to respond to her needs as her conditioned gradually worsened. When they first started visiting Mum, their visits were relatively light touch general care, but this evolved to full palliative care towards the end. Throughout the whole time, they kept me well informed and really went the extra mile to make sure Mum was looked after. It's clear that they really care about their clients. I would recommend them unreservedly.

When my father and I met with them I was impressed by how much time they spent asking my father what he would like them to do for him. They took a lot of time and care with him and, myself. They looked around his bungalow and made sure that he had all the correct occupational facilities in place. We discussed showering, as my father had not had a shower for six months (his previous carers just not bothering). With regard to this, they looked at his facilities and explained to me what was required so that they could help my father have a shower.
Their attention to detail was first class.
They began to care for my father in April of this year, giving him his first shower, which he thoroughly enjoyed. They made him feel special.
All the carers are personable people showing my dad care and dignity at all times and making him feel wanted.

Freedom Care have looked after my mother since the start of August. They have been extremely professional, highly adaptable and always shown a level of care that goes well beyond the `extra mile`. Meet the Team (1)
I opened Freedom Care (Herts) in 2018. I am the Director and share the role of Registered Manager of Freedom Care (Herts). My many years of knowledge and experience in the care industry have helped me understand what it takes to provide the best care. My passion for care was ignited following the diagnosis of my late mother with PCR (a rare form of Dementia). As a family, we looked after my Mum at home to the very end and since then I have always had a passion to keep people where they are most comfortable, which for most is in their own homes. After seeing first-hand the standards of care available, especially for the younger side of the elderly, I decided to research the market and complete my care diplomas. I have worked in the home care sector for over 20 years and was finally able to open my own company. I regularly keep in contact with clients and family members, with the aim to ensure that all current clients are happy with their service and that if any changes need to be made, they’re implemented. Ensuring each and every client is cared for based on their individual needs.
