Freedom Care (Herts) is a family run business based in Hoddesdon. Motivation to enter the homecare market came after a family member received poor quality care whilst suffering from a rare form of dementia P.C.A.

The one main goal at Freedom Care is the clients continue to live independently within the comfort and familiarity of their own home instead of having to go into residential care.

Client welfare is at the heart of every decision made and because of this, continual feedback is hugely important. A high level of transparency ensures that the care provided is of the highest possible standard and is meeting all service user requirements.

Freedom Care ensures all staff are enhanced DBS checked and are enrolled on an extensive training programme with continuous and regular updates.

Excellent service in allowing me some 'free' time as my husband has dementia (now in a home). I used their services from February '23 to July '25 in sitting with Ron and, latterly showering him when I became unable to do the task myself. They all were so sympathetic and helpful that I now feel like
I've lost friends! Ron loved them, too.

We've been fortunate to have Freedom Care supporting our family since June 2025. The experience has been exceptional from the very beginning. From our initial contact, through the assessment with both managers, to the ongoing care provided by a particular carer, every interaction has been marked by
professionalism, compassion, and genuine kindness. They've tailored their support beautifully to meet the differing needs of our parents - one with mobility challenges and the other living with Alzheimer's. What's truly remarkable is how they've managed to gently win over our parents, who were initially hesitant about receiving help. Thanks to Freedom Care, their quality of life has improved significantly, and they now fully embrace the support offered.
The carers are consistently punctual, thorough, and often go above & beyond. The app updates are an added bonus, especially for my sister who lives abroad, as it's reassuring for her to stay informed in real time.

We have been using Freedom Care since last Autumn for my ex-husband who is living alone at home with dementia.
Each carer has shown compassion and kindness to him and are happy to take him out for a coffee or an exercise class.
His flat is always left clean and tidy when they have been and they cook
a meal for him before they leave, returning later to give him his medication.
Someone takes him to church on Sunday and waits for him.
They adapt to the individuals needs.
He is treated with dignity and they take the trouble to listen to him.
I would also like to thank the two ladies in the office who have offered sound advice when I have called with a problem.
After speaking to friends who have had problems with care agencies I know how lucky we have been with Freedom Care.

Freedom Care provides a first-class service to my husband, who is a stroke survivor with complex needs. The care team relate well to my husband, and he enjoys the daily interaction with them. My husband is lucky to have continuity in his personal body care routine, which enables him to feel secure and

Freedom Care have been looking after my father who has Alzheimer's and dementia and the difference they have made to him has been outstanding, their carers are all such genuine and lovely people and have been amazing looking after my dad. They've really taken a load of pressure off of myself ensuring
things like his medication is always taken on time, his washing and ironing is done, he always has a good meal cooked for him and they're always on hand to tend to anything he needs. I could go on all day, I really couldn't rate them any higher

My uncle received the best care from Freedom. He has additional needs and I chose his care team very carefully who can attend to his care needs and also adjust to his additional needs. I was always informed of any medical needs that happened and having that reassurance that he was well cared for by
all the ladies gave me piece of mind. These wonderful ladies are definitely angels in uniform. Without them I don't know what I would have done. I 100% recommend Freedom to everyone.

After trying out other local care companies, we were very lucky to be able to employ Freedom Care for the last few years. Originally they cared for Mum in her home, however as her Alzheimer's progressed, they now continue as a befriender service to her in the Care Home she now lives in. The management
and carers are absolutely wonderful and all really go the extra mile to make sure they deliver the very best service possible. With excellent communication, they are proactive, nothing is too much trouble and it's lovely to read updates about visits on their app.


Freedom Care are a very important part of Mum's life, they offer her a caring friendship, listen to and also stimulate her with conversation and activities. We have always wanted the very best for Mum and have never been prepared to compromise in our requirements. We found it in Freedom Care. I cannot rate them highly enough and would thoroughly recommend them to anyone who is looking for first-class, superior and compassionate care.

Have been dealing with Freedom Care since April this year. Have been impressed with all the staff both admin and carers. They have always been compassionate and understanding of our needs, efficient in their organisation, and the carers always on time and carry out everything that is needed for my Dad.
Most importantly he is treated with care, respect, and kindness. Cannot praise them enough and would thoroughly recommend them.

I moved my mum who has dementia and is 86 from Norfolk where she has lived for nearly 40 years. The manager and her team pay amazing attention to absolutely everything to do with my mum is brilliant, my mum is a different person from when she was in Norfolk and seeing how the manager and her team look

The Manager and the team have been fantastic and she spent a lot of time with us to get to understand what care was needed and really got to know mum and dad. They have done everything they can to fit into mum's schedule and the carers have been super with them. It can be daunting when the first steps
into care are made, but I can honestly say Freedom Care have been amazing. They respond incredibly quickly to any requests and I know they truly have mum and dad's needs met.

Mum has received an excellent level of care from her Freedom Care carers. They have been thoughtful of her needs and careful of her dignity. They have spent time during the visit to talk to her about her life and interests. This has been evident in Mum's general well-being and her enjoyment of their
company. Mum has received consistency of care and therefore the carers have become familiar visitors for her. Mum has been unable to bath or shower for a considerable length of time but she has always been spotlessly clean and well dressed and groomed. I would highly recommend this home care provider.

Grandad loves all of the carers that come to help him, they are kind and compasionate and always put him first. He struggles with mobility and they always talk him through what they are doing. They keep us informed as a family if they are concerned with anything or if anything looks out of place, they
also respond to us quickly if I need them to be aware of any changes with Grandad's care. He loves their visits and it keeps the family role as that of family and not carers, keeping his dignity, which at 88 is very important to him. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for an amazing care company.

My mother was wary at the start of our care journey, of a stranger in her home. However, she has been lucky enough to have the same carer 99% of the time and she looks forward to seeing her.
From my point of view, it really helps to know that her carer is kind, hard-working and thoughtful. The management
team have also been really helpful when I've needed changes to visit times.
All in all, I think Freedom Care (Herts) are a fantastic company and I highly recommend their services. I cannot fault them which is why I have given 5 stars for every category. Thanks.

Totally pleased with the care that my mother received. It was more than care, it was companionship. I would not hesitate to engage Freedom Care Services should an opportunity arise in the future. The companionship to a weekend of family celebrations meant my mother could fully engage, leaving myself
to meet and greet guests and mingle at my daughter's wedding. This was a huge relief knowing she was well looked after. Both the carer and mom had a fantastic time, which ultimately meant the family did too. Appreciated immensely.

The team at Freedom Care are amazing. Twice we have requested short-term care for dad and given them little notice. On both occasions they found lovely carers who really looked after him and went the extra mile. Dad's latest carer was just amazing and took so much time with him. Can't recommend this
company highly enough.

I opened Freedom Care (Herts) in 2018. I am the Director and share the role of Registered Manager of Freedom Care (Herts). My many years of knowledge and experience in the care industry have helped me understand what it takes to provide the best care. My passion for care was ignited following the diagnosis of my late mother with PCR (a rare form of Dementia). As a family, we looked after my Mum at home to the very end and since then I have always had a passion to keep people where they are most comfortable, which for most is in their own homes. After seeing first-hand the standards of care available, especially for the younger side of the elderly, I decided to research the market and complete my care diplomas. I have worked in the home care sector for over 20 years and was finally able to open my own company. I regularly keep in contact with clients and family members, with the aim to ensure that all current clients are happy with their service and that if any changes need to be made, they’re implemented. Ensuring each and every client is cared for based on their individual needs.
