Lack of communication between office staff + clients

We have been using Domiciliary Care for a while now and the carers make my mums visit very personal for her, they really know my mum which is exactly what we both wanted and huge weight off my shoulders knowing that my mum is very well looked after whilst I am at work. It is helpful to me knowing that my mum's bed is changed weekly, she has taken her daily medication, the kitchen is tidy, my mum is nice and clean and she has had a lovely conversation with the carer.

Mum is very pleased with the carers. She says she hasn't had a bad one yet. If there's a problem, I just ring the office and they are always nice and sort the problem out. I'm truly grateful to ALL the staff at Domiciliary Care Experts.

Mum has been having assistance with showering for about 3 months now and it didn't take her long to feel at ease with her carers and trust them to help her. They are always so polite and kind to her and she looks forward to seeing them. I am pleased with the way they tidy up afterwards and make sure that mum is comfortable before they leave. They never rush her and always talk her through what is happening and what they need her to do. I will be happy to increase the care from them as and when I feel mum needs it.

Quite happy with Mums carers recently and good that she is now getting regular carers at her visits all of whom she knows. Most of the time they are on time and they treat her with dignity which is important to an elderly person who is frail and still mentally sound. Just a couple of things that could be improved:- receipt of a regular rota and a phone call if a carer has to be changed or is running late. This isn't a regular thing but has happened especially with staff shortages.

After years of coping with a range of care providers, Domiciliary Care Experts started caring for my husband in June. The carers are lovely, competent, vigilant and engaged. They communicate well about the care package and changes to my husband's complex health needs. The management really wants feedback and to act upon it. For the first time, I was able to go away for a break without being stressed about my husband's care.

I find all the carers competent, friendly, helpful and understanding. My son loves them coming and is always happy to be left in their care. They give him the freedom to be himself at home and he views them as his friends which is the best thing I could want for him.

My dad was cared for between 6-7 months and the career continuously went over and above to ensure my dad was comfortable at home. The team quickly learned what medication he needed and when, reminded me when prescriptions needed to be collected and regularly left me shopping lists of what dad wanted. And they single-handedly saved my sanity. As an only child, it can be tough to juggle life and caring for an elderly parent but the team helped me through and thank you will never be enough. If I ever needed to contact the office all your team were kind and courteous and I'll always be thankful for all of you doing your jobs and doing them so so well.

I have used Domiciliary Care Experts for some years and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others needing a professional caring service. I feel confident that my son is being well looked after when out in the community with his carer. His carer is kind, calm and very supportive. He respects our home and is always polite. The Domiciliary Care team are very easy to approach and are always helpful and professional. Thank you all for caring.

It has been a nightmare. Domiciliary Care Experts does not care. One of their carers broke wall of my driveway and then decided to run away with her car. In another incident, carer spat on my front door and slammed the door in anger. Both incidents were recorded on CCTV and reported to Kent Police, Care office, Medway Council Adult Social Services and the Care Quality Commission. Carers do not respect your privacy. Always carry a mobile phone in pocket and use it constantly. Carers speak very little English. Some carers do not change gloves after personal care and then use the same gloves for food preparation. If a carer finds out you have complained, they will not like you anymore. Few occasions carer wiped my bottom a few times with cleaning wipes instead of personal hygiene wipes. They are always in a hurry, a few times carer pulled on my wet diaper so roughly that it caused me a lot of pain. A few times carer served me food in a cat bowl. Her excuse was they don't have pet bowls in her country.

Very good service. Mum is very pleased with her carers and her everyday care. Carers are on time and if they are late due traffic accidents etc, I am always contacted to ensure I know and to let her know.

I would like to say the carer made my morning, she always comes in very cheerful, sets me up for the day.

The majority of the carers are kind and considerate and carry out their work in a professional manner. Occasionally Mum has a new carer whose English is not good so Mum has to repeat her needs a few times. However, recently the same carers have been attending Mum and are all aware of Mum's needs. They are polite, professional, and easygoing.

I am more than happy with my carer.

I am pleased with the care I received and have no criticism to the ladies who see to my needs.

Mum is proud but suffers from mental issues, leading her to believe she doesn't need any help. However, I understand that we haven't had a call out to the emergency services for some weeks, which is a miracle for this time of year. As such, I think the package of care provides many benefits, although her memory is getting worse. However, other things seem to be improving, her mood, surroundings and diet. She is still very frail and needs help with cleaning, washing, laundry, as well as with washing up (cutlery, crockery, dishes etc). She still has the commode by the kitchen sink as she can't use the steps at night. This she empties into the sink from time to time. She is still leaving open yoghurts and uneaten food lying on and next to her bed. Compounded by the commode, I'm still trying to consider options to mitigate the health risks caused by the resulting fly problem this all generates during the summer months. I hope this helps. We cannot thank Domiciliary Care Experts enough for the ongoing care that they have provided to our aunt since returning home from a fall and needing care at home. The help and advice received from the office staff, particularly two specific staff members, has been outstanding, nothing has been too much trouble and it doesn’t matter how many times we call or ask questions, they are on hand. The care received at home from all carers, but two specific staff members especially have been wonderful. They are kind and caring and have always been so gentle. We cannot thank them enough.

It is great to have the same carers every day. It means that my husband has consistency and he knows the staff coming. The lady in the office is very efficient and if you have a problem she is always there to help. The staff are very good with my husband who can have quite challenging behaviour. They are always calm and pleasant with him. We are delighted with the service.

The care my mum is receiving from Domiciliary is exemplary, and I would not hesitate in recommending them. The provider addresses any issue you have a concern with, and the after-hours team is helpful and takes the time to listen. Furthermore, my mum's carers are the same every day, and this is perfect for the client and my mum. Well done to all the carers for providing excellent care to my mum and not making her feel a burden.
