My mum has been a customer of Serenity Care Solent Ltd since March 2020 until she sadly passed away in Dec 2025. My mum was suffering from rheumatoid arthritis and severely reduced mobility and in recent years was bedbound with dementia. I can highly recommend this care agency as genuinely caring for its clients. Their staff are well trained. They were always proactive with my mum's health needs and thoroughly performing their caring duties. I lived at the same address with my mum, so could observe their work on a daily basis. All my requests regarding any changes in care were dealt with promptly and efficiently. Great communication with office staff, management team and carers. My mum absolutely adored them! My mum didn't speak English, but they found the way to communicate with her. All staff are genuinely kind and caring people willing to help. They have this care app that records daily activities. I was checking it all the time whilst at work and it gave me peace of mind.

My mum was initially reluctant for this service to come into the home. However the team upon visiting were positive and extremely kind to my mum, who could on occasions be a little difficult. I loved hearing the chatter that went on whilst her needs were being met. On the odd occasion an emergency attendance was required. The team could not have been more accommodating, being at the home within 20 minutes or so when possible. Unfortunately my mum has now passed, but l know that our lives greatly benefited from their care.

Serenity were brilliant and helped with both mum and dad at what was a very stressful and upsetting time.

The carers were so kind to mum when her dementia was at its worse and they reassured her when she was very confused and frightened.

They also did a brilliant job of helping dad return home and remain there for his last few weeks which is what he wanted - no matter what help he needed.

They couldn't do enough to help despite mum wanting to remain independent and kept me informed of any concerns so we could come up with a plan.

The office staff were so understanding - even when mum was phoning them in the middle of the night thinking it was daytime.

Would not hesitate to recommend Serenity - THANK YOU

Many thanks to all at Serenity Care for their outstanding support of our 95 year old mother since she came out of hospital at the end of January. All the care has been carefully tailored to suit her particular needs, and adjustments have been made as required over the weeks, so that her visits have now been reduced to just 2 per day. All of the carers are lovely and I am sure that chatting with them has all helped with Mum's recovery.

Serenity Solent has provided excellent care for our Mum in her own home for the past year. Carers are professional, polite, punctual and patient and the reports of each visit, which can be read on the secure app, provide reassurance. Communication between family and the Serenity office team is very good and any queries are resolved promptly.

I would definitely recommend Serenity Solent Care.

I have to say that all of my carers are friendly, caring and diligent. My only criticism is that I would like to know in advance when the office has changed the rotas without asking me if it is convenient to alter my time slots.

Serenity Care has provided daily half-hour visits to my 96-year-old mother while I was away. A variety of ladies visited her, provided companionship and did the occasional bit of shopping for her. We were initially reluctant to go to an agency of any sort, having already developed our own team of private carers on whom we rely for 3x a day 7 days a week care for Granny.
How amazing Serenity Care is! The individual attention to detail is fantastic!
The home visits by the Manager prior to the booking of any carers worked wonderfully well and we were impressed with the level of detail which was then passed on to the lovely carers.
It was a little bit more expensive per visit than we are used to, but then we only used them for emergencies when one of our (five) carers was on holiday. However, this was more than made up for by the flexibility and their ability to drop in at very short notice, and for the way in which I was able to adjust the schedule on the go.

It all worked seamlessly well and we would have no hesitation in recommending the company.

Our family were extremely pleased when we found Serenity Care Solent, the carers can communicate with Father well and the visits are calm, quiet and without the hint of any problems (the previous care agency we were set up with for 1 month was like some form of bizarre comedy act! It was then that we decided to go privately). Serenity is professional and decent at all times and very flexible as we do not require care visits on a daily basis. Carers etc. were all very new to us and it got off to a bad start but Serenity restored our faith in the whole thing. Well done and keep up the outstanding work!

I engaged Serenity Care Solent in April 2023, as my mum’s dementia progressed and regular care and companionship became necessary to allow Mum to continue to live in her own home safely. I am constantly impressed by the service and care provided by Serenity for my mother. On numerous occasions I have needed to adjust elements of Mum’s care, alter schedules and add additional days and tasks (like getting Mum and dog to the vets) and always the team at Serenity have willingly accommodated my needs. Their willingness to adapt and support, the warmth and care provided by their staff and the comfort and surety I enjoy, knowing they have Mum’s health, safety and mental wellbeing first and foremost, is a blessing. I cannot recommend the team highly enough and would have no question in recommending them to others seeking care services.

Beverley Mander Job Title: Registered Manager/Director Joined: 2019
Beverley Mander

Care has always been a family tradition, lovingly passed down through the generations.

Beverley’s Nan, Joy, along with her Uncle Ron and Auntie Cath, owned a care home in Launceston, Cornwall, for many years. As a child, Beverley spent countless summer holidays helping her family there, experiencing first-hand the warmth, dedication, and compassion that defined their approach to care. Joy was a remarkable woman who proudly celebrated her 100th birthday in 2024. Sadly, she passed away in 2025. She truly was an inspiration, and her legacy continues to guide everything Beverley does.

Inspired by Joy, Ron, and Cath—and by the values instilled in her from a young age—Beverley began her own journey in care. She first worked weekends in a nursing home in Alverstoke while studying Health and Social Care at college, where she achieved her NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications.

After completing college, Beverley moved into full-time work as a Carer in a nursing home in Hill Head, spending three years building on the skills she had learned and developing her natural ability to provide care with empathy and understanding.

She later transitioned into community-based care with Hampshire County Council before taking on a new challenge: supporting a private customer with physical disabilities who required 24-hour care. During this role, she also progressed into assistant managerial responsibilities, further strengthening her leadership and specialist care skills.

Determined to continue growing, Beverley stepped into the demanding position of Care Coordinator for a national home care company. Her dedication and capability quickly saw her progress to Registered Care Manager of a busy branch delivering more than 1,000 hours of care each week. During this time, she worked towards and achieved her QCF Level 5 in Care Management, all while ensuring that both customers and staff were supported with genuine compassion and respect.

Beverley’s commitment and excellence were recognised on two occasions when her branch was awarded Regional Branch of the Year.

In 2019, Beverley took the biggest step of her career and founded Serenity Care Solent, bringing with her more than 25 years of experience in the care sector. Her vision was clear: to provide the highest standard of home care to people in their own homes, delivered with kindness, dignity, and a truly personal touch.

Today, Beverley is proud to be fulfilling that passion through her own company, continuing the legacy of her family and honouring the inspiration of her beloved Nan Joy. Serenity Care Solent stands as a testament to those values—quality care, heartfelt support, and a commitment to making a genuine difference in people’s lives.
