With daycare places in short supply, my son needed an alternative. Serenity Care has exceeded his expectations. He now receives exactly the type of care that he has always wanted.
He really looks forward to the time spent with his carer. Nothing is too much trouble for them.

Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5
I contacted various companies for home care for my nan. Serenity Care's customer service is exceptional.
If I have had to contact them via email, my questions are answered almost immediately. The manager and her team are exceptional.
We had used a company previously where my nan was often left despite
paying privately for the service. We have never had an issue with Serenity Care, and my nan looks clean and well cared for.
My sister worked for a similar company and said that Serenity has much better protocols and policies in place.
I highly rate this company and all of its staff. I have emailed the manager before to tell her how impressed we are as a family with the care my nan receives.
Reply from Beverley Mander, Registered Care Manager at Serenity Care Solent LtdThank you for such a lovely and kind-worded review, our aim is to ensure that the care we provide is person-centred and tailored to individuals, it makes us feel proud to know that the care provided is just what your nan wants.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.949 for Serenity Care Solent Ltd is calculated as follows: ( (74 Excellents x 5) + (4 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 78 Ratings = 4.949
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.5 Points for the second and third Positive Reviews, 0.25 Points for each of the next two Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.05, 7th = 0.05, 8th = 0.05, 9th = 0.05, 10th = 0.05, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025)

    The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Serenity Care Solent Ltd is based on 13 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4.825
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Beverley Mander

Job Title: Registered Manager/Director Joined: 2019

Care has always been a family tradition, lovingly passed down through the generations.

Beverley’s Nan, Joy, along with her Uncle Ron and Auntie Cath, owned a care home in Launceston, Cornwall, for many years. As a child, Beverley spent countless summer holidays helping her family there, experiencing first-hand the warmth, dedication, and compassion that defined their approach to care. Joy was a remarkable woman who proudly celebrated her 100th birthday in 2024. Sadly, she passed away in 2025. She truly was an inspiration, and her legacy continues to guide everything Beverley does.

Inspired by Joy, Ron, and Cath—and by the values instilled in her from a young age—Beverley began her own journey in care. She first worked weekends in a nursing home in Alverstoke while studying Health and Social Care at college, where she achieved her NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications.

After completing college, Beverley moved into full-time work as a Carer in a nursing home in Hill Head, spending three years building on the skills she had learned and developing her natural ability to provide care with empathy and understanding.

She later transitioned into community-based care with Hampshire County Council before taking on a new challenge: supporting a private customer with physical disabilities who required 24-hour care. During this role, she also progressed into assistant managerial responsibilities, further strengthening her leadership and specialist care skills.

Determined to continue growing, Beverley stepped into the demanding position of Care Coordinator for a national home care company. Her dedication and capability quickly saw her progress to Registered Care Manager of a busy branch delivering more than 1,000 hours of care each week. During this time, she worked towards and achieved her QCF Level 5 in Care Management, all while ensuring that both customers and staff were supported with genuine compassion and respect.

Beverley’s commitment and excellence were recognised on two occasions when her branch was awarded Regional Branch of the Year.

In 2019, Beverley took the biggest step of her career and founded Serenity Care Solent, bringing with her more than 25 years of experience in the care sector. Her vision was clear: to provide the highest standard of home care to people in their own homes, delivered with kindness, dignity, and a truly personal touch.

Today, Beverley is proud to be fulfilling that passion through her own company, continuing the legacy of her family and honouring the inspiration of her beloved Nan Joy. Serenity Care Solent stands as a testament to those values—quality care, heartfelt support, and a commitment to making a genuine difference in people’s lives.
