Care has always been a family tradition, lovingly passed down through the generations.
Beverley’s Nan, Joy, along with her Uncle Ron and Auntie Cath, owned a care home in Launceston, Cornwall, for many years. As a child, Beverley spent countless summer holidays helping her family there, experiencing first-hand the warmth, dedication, and compassion that defined their approach to care. Joy was a remarkable woman who proudly celebrated her 100th birthday in 2024. Sadly, she passed away in 2025. She truly was an inspiration, and her legacy continues to guide everything Beverley does.
Inspired by Joy, Ron, and Cath—and by the values instilled in her from a young age—Beverley began her own journey in care. She first worked weekends in a nursing home in Alverstoke while studying Health and Social Care at college, where she achieved her NVQ Level 2 and Level 3 qualifications.
After completing college, Beverley moved into full-time work as a Carer in a nursing home in Hill Head, spending three years building on the skills she had learned and developing her natural ability to provide care with empathy and understanding.
She later transitioned into community-based care with Hampshire County Council before taking on a new challenge: supporting a private customer with physical disabilities who required 24-hour care. During this role, she also progressed into assistant managerial responsibilities, further strengthening her leadership and specialist care skills.
Determined to continue growing, Beverley stepped into the demanding position of Care Coordinator for a national home care company. Her dedication and capability quickly saw her progress to Registered Care Manager of a busy branch delivering more than 1,000 hours of care each week. During this time, she worked towards and achieved her QCF Level 5 in Care Management, all while ensuring that both customers and staff were supported with genuine compassion and respect.
Beverley’s commitment and excellence were recognised on two occasions when her branch was awarded Regional Branch of the Year.
In 2019, Beverley took the biggest step of her career and founded Serenity Care Solent, bringing with her more than 25 years of experience in the care sector. Her vision was clear: to provide the highest standard of home care to people in their own homes, delivered with kindness, dignity, and a truly personal touch.
Today, Beverley is proud to be fulfilling that passion through her own company, continuing the legacy of her family and honouring the inspiration of her beloved Nan Joy. Serenity Care Solent stands as a testament to those values—quality care, heartfelt support, and a commitment to making a genuine difference in people’s lives.
