Leah Care

My brother was sadly diagnosed with cancer last October. His deterioration was rapid and with the help of our local hospice, we were put in touch with the manager at Leah Care who came to visit my brother before the care package was put in place. He introduced the carers to my brother which gave him the reassurance he required to accept care. I would like to thank all the carers who visited my brother during his final days. He was treated with compassion and kindness. The manager went out of his way to help us through the process and put us in touch with vital agencies. I would recommend Leah Care to anyone needing care.

Since suffering from a stroke, my father has been receiving visits from Leah Care, commencing November 2020. I cannot speak highly enough of the company as a whole, and from the initial contact with the manager, who came and did the assessment, to the current time, the care my father receives is excellent. The manager is very proactive and plays an active role in care visits. Communication from the office/manager is exemplary. Nothing is too much trouble and I would wholeheartedly recommend Leah Care to anyone.

We are and always will be eternally grateful.

Now that my grandmother has got used to your carers' twice-daily visits that started a few weeks ago, she enjoys their company, plus their helpfulness along with having a laugh with each of them. It is a godsend that they help her prepare her evening meal and are more than happy to assist in any way that they possibly can. We would highly recommend you all.

Leah Care came to support my wife and me during the last few weeks of her life. All of the carers involved treated my wife with gentle kindness and helped her maintain her dignity and independence of spirit. I was able to shift the caring I was doing over to them gradually and they were fabulous. They went above and beyond to help her and to make it easier for me. I was impressed by how hands-on the manager was and he made sure his team had what they needed to provide the best possible care for my wife. I felt I was able to trust them completely. Thank you.

Thank you for your help organising my wife's care during her final illness. A special thanks to our regular carer for her care of my wife which was greatly appreciated by all of us. By your friendly approach and very good carers you made a very difficult time that little bit easier.

My frail relative needed help after a nasty fall. They wanted to go home but couldn't see how - they lacked confidence and motivation. We weren't sure if it would work, but we engaged Leah Care and agreed on a plan. The manager and his team have changed our lives. Every member of staff is just lovely, kind, respectful, creative and sensible. Nothing is too much trouble. They have helped make life so much easier for us all. My relative is happy, settled and back in control, and we are all very grateful.

Excellent sums up the care Leah Care has shown my husband in the past few weeks. All the carers are incredibly kind, considerate and respectful to my husband. My husband is always told what is to happen next in his care. The carers show gentle humour along with their care of my husband. It is a pleasure to have them in our home.

I'm a complex case as I have cancer and am in an ongoing state of being about to die soon - and then not dying. I used Leah Care for 6-months in 2020 and have been very happy with their communications, processes, and care (changing medical dressings, and chemo side effects support). I'd still be using them now, but currently, I'm not as ill.

My mum was very happy having Leah Care visiting twice a day. The carers were very kind, friendly and thorough, especially with her personal care and medication. They all had time for a chat and a laugh together. I would highly recommend them.

Leah Care is a charming, considerate, understanding, and caring little company. They carry out their tasks with great kindness and good humour, I could not wish for better in any way for my husband. My husband left the hospice with a prognosis of a few weeks and is happily still very much with us, 5 months later! Apart from the wonderful care he received in the hospice, I put this down to Leah Care’s personal care and good humour in his home environment.

My elderly mother has recently started using this organisation. After having a care provider previously my mother was very anxious about going through the process again and having new carers. Right from the first phone call and speaking to the company we were put at ease. All of the carers that come to see my mother are fantastic and can not do enough for her and my mother looks forward to them coming in every day. The manager is excellent and always communicates regularly with my mother. We are very pleased that we changed companies as we can not fault them.
