It was a big step to find carers for my mum at the start of 2025. I was struggling to give her the level of support she needed, especially as my sister had recently passed away. From the time mum and I met with Tracy we were treated with kindness and sympathy, and mum's individual needs informed her care plan. Initially mum had visits each morning, but as her health deteriorated we have added a visit each evening. Mum has a team of supportive carers and gets on well with them all. New carers visit with one of her existing team so that they can learn her routine and this gives mum reassurance. I like that I have an App where the carers record notes from their visits so I know how mum is that day and I am sent the week's rota so mum can see in advance who will be coming. Overall, I am very happy that we chose Home Instead and can only say that our experience of the care staff and office staff has been positive. I don't know how we would have coped without the support we have received.

The team at Hanham were caring and professional from the outset. From their initial meeting with Mum, through the carers that supported mum with companionship and some light housework and also the admin team in the office, they all showed kindness and understanding. Sadly, Mum was still unable to accept she needs care, so we had to end the service, but when the need arrives again in the future, as I'm sure it will, we will return to Home instead with no reservations.

The office staff respond efficiently to all queries and are proactive in their approach to the care and wellbeing of my mother. They update information speedily ensuring everyone is fully aware of mum's care needs.
Their attention to detail in communication gives confidence that all staff are working effectively to ensure a good level of service is constantly provided.
Cannot praise Home Instead highly enough. All of my mum's carers were patient, kind and gentle with her. The area manager was always on hand for any queries or modifications to the package and was more than happy to come to the house for meetings.

We had the utmost care and consideration for my mother. The ladies in the office were always kind and helpful. My mother's carer was simply the best. My mother looked forward to her daily visits. She brought great joy to my mother's life. Sadly Mum's health deteriorated and she has to go into a full time care home but we will always be grateful for the care and attention given to her.

Staff arrived on time. Very pleasant. Did all the tasks required in a friendly manner. The office/admin staff were also helpful and knowledgeable. I will definitely recommend them and use the company again once the present situation with my parents has been sorted.

The app is great to be able to check on what's been going on. Having Home Instead gives us peace of mind. We are very grateful for all they do to support us.
The small number of different staff invested in the care helps with the acceptance of the care she needs. Management send weekly timesheets electronically so I know when to expect and this is helpful and they contact me should there be any changes or issues in their ability to deliver care. The agency is however one of the more expensive in the area and allocated only the hour time slots where maybe 30 minutes or 45 minutes slots would suffice.
The weekly assistance the carers give my mum is so special as they show such empathy even though she is nearing the end of her days.
I would also like to praise the care manager who is also is very empathetic and gives myself and the carers such valuable support through her practical advice and concern for every client to be given a just life to the end of their days.
The care manager and carers didn't just support Mum; they supported me and gave me advice at a time when I felt completed overwhelmed by circumstances. They were very caring towards Mum, even when she was being extremely challenging. They went above and beyond so many times. Thank you.

Having lived in this city for over 40 years, and still with parents alive, over 200 miles away, and Mum living with dementia, I understand first-hand the very high quality of care I would demand for my own parents.
I've worked in healthcare since 2011 and moved to adult homecare in 2014, as a board director of a national provider, before buying my first Home Instead franchise in 2019. I took over the Bristol North franchise in late 2023 and this Bristol East franchise in September 2025, because I'm proud of the very high quality of care we provide in our city and wanted consistency of the quality and response right across our city.
I joined Home Instead in September 2023, having worked in People & Team Management for many years. My role is to lead and support our fabulous Care Professionals and Key Player teams across Home Instead Bristol, who are focused on delivering outstanding care. Having had experience of needing care for close family members, I know how important it is that we provide outstanding quality care and support to our clients and their families and that we provide ongoing training and support to our fabulous team of Care Professionals. It's an absolute pleasure to work with our teams, who provide comfort and joy daily.
Tracy, our Registered Manager with over 10 years in the social care sector, is dedicated to providing first-class service for our clients. Having advanced through various roles and spent 3 years at Home Instead, she combines experience with a passion for quality care.
Emma is our dedicated Team Leader with over 5 years in the care sector. She ensures compliance and high-quality care while leading training programs that boost team performance. With a Level 4 Health and Social Care qualification, Emma is passionate about exceptional care.
