September 2021 Home Instead started caring for my mum at home with four visits per day seven days a week. They carried out their visits with first class care, attention and dignity, never once failing to be on time they are a first class company in every department.

I am very satisfied with the service provided by Home Instead. The two carers who are assigned to me show patients, respect and treat me with dignity.

The office team keep me informed of any changes that arise and are very helpful and supportive if I have a problem or need advice.

Home Instead have provided intermittent care for my father for over a year now. The administration of the care was efficient and thorough; the caregivers were all friendly, informative, understanding and committed. My father, who is a discerning judge, was always complimentary. The Home Instead (Bristol East) team have all been just amazing, from assessment, communication, liaising with me to sort out issues regularly. My Mother-In-Law although reluctant at first, having just come out of the hospital, by day 4 loved having carers to help her be independent in the bathroom, encourage her to walk, take care of her appearance and just boost that lack of confidence after 18 months of lockdown and isolation.

A truly great company, teamwork, kindness, caring and professional. Thank you from all the family.

Once we were both heading in the same direction and goal, namely her best interests. I have nothing but praise for the admin and staff. Whatever was required they managed to cater for her requirements, even at short notice. I only wish it was possible to reengage, but that is unlikely due to current issues - must add nothing to do with this company.

Overall Experience

We transferred to Home Instead from another agency due to an increase in care needs for mum. Home Instead were excellent, stepping up at short notice. The caregivers were organised as a team of 4 so that my mum got to know them, and they provided a weekly schedule so mum knew who to expect. All the staff were lovely, professional and approachable. I would highly recommend Home Instead to anyone seeking care at home.

Overall Experience

The entire team at Home Instead in East Bristol are outstanding. They are an invaluable source of support not just to the service user but also to the service user's family. When the key worker/carer was on leave, Home Instead were able to provide another carer to cover and the seamless transition in the care provided is something that I am appreciative of. The interpersonal skills of staff both in the office and those providing the care are truly exceptional and the level of service and commitment to their roles outstanding. Nothing is too much trouble and they have both always gone above and beyond, a truly exceptional company and one that I would have no hesitation in highly recommending if you are looking at home care for a loved one.

Very helpful and friendly service also very informative and extremely good service. As a family, we did not warn the service to end, but my father’s decision was his to make, however, misguided he is being.

Andrew Wood

Having lived in this city for over 40 years, and still with parents alive, over 200 miles away, and Mum living with dementia, I understand first-hand the very high quality of care I would demand for my own parents.

I've worked in healthcare since 2011 and moved to adult homecare in 2014, as a board director of a national provider, before buying my first Home Instead franchise in 2019. I took over the Bristol North franchise in late 2023 and this Bristol East franchise in September 2025, because I'm proud of the very high quality of care we provide in our city and wanted consistency of the quality and response right across our city.
