I've never had such a good care company for my mother before. Visiting Angels are exactly what they say, the carer is amazing and has found me amazing carers and whist doing so has covered and is still covering my mothers care as my mother has Alzheimer's of which they are experts in understanding the
needs required for this condition. So far this has been an outstanding service from the manager to the carers and all are completly professional, caring and knowledgeable. Considering what we went through before we came to this comapny we are so happy with how professional this company are. They take everything into consideration about my mothers needs and also for me as her carer and meet those needs wherever possible. Im so happy I took the plunge and made these changes for my mother and, considering change is difficult for her the comapny have fully met our needs for a smooth transition.I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

The care provided by Visiting Angels has been exceptional. Our father's needs are complex, yet the staff have gone above and beyond to establish a reliable and effective routine that has enabled him to remain comfortably in his own home. Their dedication has significantly improved his quality of life

Visiting Angels care are a well-run, friendly company that manages to combine commercial efficiency with personalised care. Their staff are well-trained, happy people (we know 4 of them), who quickly become part of the extended family. We don't know another care company, but can't imagine a better one.

I have used Visiting Angels to provide assistance and accompany me to hospital and GP appointments. Sometimes a carer will accompany me in a taxi to a hospital appointment, but on occasions I have requested a carer who drives who can drive me locally to a GP appointment.
When I had my introductory
meeting with someone from Visiting Angels, they were very friendly and thorough in understanding what kind of care I required. I was left feeling completely confident that Visiting Angels would be the perfect company to provide me with the care I needed.
In every instance the carer has been reliable, friendly and more than capable of providing me with the care I need.
Communication with Visiting Angels is easy and they have always been able to provide me with what ever kind of service I need.
I am exceedingly happy with Visiting Angels and would not hesitate to recommend them in the future.

The two ladies chosen to look after me overnight during my husband's absence arrived promtly at 9 p.m.each night, One of their duties while here was to put out my medication three times a day which they carried out carefully. We had plenty of amusing conversations and they checked up carefully that
I had eaten and drunk enough fluid before I went to bed and made sure I had everything I needed for a good night's sleep. I enjoyed their friendly company, one each night over the week my husband was away, and I look forward to when my husband goes away again and I can enjoy and have the pleasure of their company again.- both ladies were very pleasant company during the time that they were here and they looked after me carefully. I am very pleased with their help and the way it was delivered. Thank you all!

I have no hesitation in recommending this company to you. We only used them for a short time, but they were excellent. My father is almost 95 and has a Stoma. All the staff we had dealings with were kind, respectful, competent and supportive. All we can say is a huge thank you for being there at our
hour of need.

Visiting Angels was recommended to us by our hospital dementia group when I had to have an operation and to look after my wife who has later-stage dementia, I was very concerned about how Visiting Angels and my wife would get on together but I really needn't have worried, they were very professional,
caring, always on time and extremely supportive to my wife's needs. We would have no hesitation in recommending Visiting Angels and we definitely will use them when we need help in the future.

Our father was lucky enough to have an Angel in the form of a particular member of staff for the last couple of years of his life. We cannot express our gratitude enough, as he truly was not only an exemplary carer, our dear dad also classed him as a friend.
He made such a massive difference to Dad's
end-of-life care and we are truly grateful to him.
He remains in touch with us and made time out of his busy schedule to join us when we said our goodbyes.
To the mentioned member of staff, we are indebted to you and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for being such a great companion and always bringing a smile to Dad's face, despite his declining health. No one could match your breakfast and coffee-making skills!

We felt the service enabled us to completely relax while we were away knowing Mum was happy. The whole process was so simple to set up and flowed seamlessly. One of the carers came to see how we managed and followed the routine exactly. We were so happy with the service we have continued with the care.
Best part was caregiver was respectful of Mum and encouraging her to do things she is normally resistant to.

I have found Visiting Angels totally reliable in providing care at the date and time arranged, which removes the stress of not knowing if or when a caregiver will turn up. The carers are all friendly and cheerful. As I rely on them to do my shopping every week, they work very hard to find exactly what
I want and need. They also do vital cleaning which I cannot manage because of increasing mobility problems.

For several years ending in October 2023, Visiting Angels provided day care for my wife twice a week. She had advanced Alzheimer's. The carers were wonderful: they established a rapport with my wife and she was happy in their company. They helped her feed her, looked after her, and sometimes took her
out for walks and excursions, coffee etc. I felt absolute confidence in leaving my very vulnerable wife in their care. I am very pleased to recommend this agency highly. The lady who heads it has also been very helpful and has given me much good advice and support. I am very grateful to her and her carers.
More recently (September 2024) I needed a short period of care myself following a minor operation. The agency's carer was one who had cared for my wife. She was excellent: she met me at hospital, took me home, cooked a meal for me and was with me for approx 24 hours following surgery. As before I was very impressed with the care provided and am grateful to Visiting Angels.

Visiting Angels have delivered a high standard of care for my mother for more than a year now. They have consistently been responsive to our changing needs, and are always on hand to provide advice and guidance with all issues we have had with working out what is best for my mum and also for my dad
who is her main carer. The carers are so kind, gentle and always flexible and adaptable to whatever task is needed. They are trained to a high standard, but the empathy they have can't be taught. The company obviously look after their staff, as turnover is very low. Having consistency in carers means that my parents have developed trusting relationships, which has given me peace of mind that they are safe and happy.

We were recommended to Visiting Angels by friends, having had a very bad experience with a ‘carer’ found by a family relative from an online booking agency. The local manager called to interview my cousin and our family generally and was very professional and showed great care and concern that the right
carer would be given to us. The carer recommended has turned out literally to be an angel, he only attends for one hour a day, in which time he cooks tempting fresh food having prepared a weekly menu, the kitchen is left spotless and he still has time to sit with our cousin to chat about their day and have a laugh, both enjoying a terrific sense of humour and fun. We would recommend this agency to anyone with a relative who needs care, they have exceeded our expectations.

Picked Visiting Angels after a phone call with them and am I glad I did. The support they give my parents by far surpasses what we expected. The carers are always on time and always interested in how my parents are feeling and will always call me if they are concerned. My parents look forward to them
coming. No job is too much for them.

Visiting Angels looked after both Mum and Dad for nearly two years, with four visits a day. The care was superb and they were always timely and provided the same carers through this period. That was particularly important to us due to Mum's Parkinson’s. Can’t praise them enough for the service and kindness
they gave, which also meant our parents got to stay at home together before sadly passing away recently.

The company name is no exaggeration! Unfortunately, our parents' health has been declining and we urgently needed help. When we first met the manager, both my brother and myself were impressed to hear about how the company was run. Initially, we hit a barrier because of a reluctance to accept the 'external
help' - this is a hard step for anyone to accept. However, as the need for help became more acute, we knew we had found the right company and the manager made sure to get her team mobilised as smoothly as possible. Within a short timeframe, the visits began and we were fortunate enough to have the care manager available. She went above and beyond in helping our parents, regardless of whether she was on call or not. For those of us that are thousands of kilometres away from 'home', it brings a great deal of peace of mind to know that this level of support and compassion exists. Thank you to Visiting Angels for everything!

I have ‘grown up’ working in the care world, starting my career in nursing 30 years ago when I was 19 years old.


I have simply loved working with older people since a chance placement on an Older Peoples Mental Health Ward in 1990, going on to spend the next 30 years developing a special interest and knowledge base of what it is like living with dementia.


As a daughter of an independent 82-year-old, I strongly believe and feel a sense of duty to ensure that our older people are supported to continue to live their life, their way, in the most independent, dignified way possible.


I also want to raise the standard of what ‘normal’ expected care should look like across the sector, not just within my own business. I also want caregivers to gain increased recognition for the value of the work that they do and promote a sense of purpose and achievement in this workforce.
