I am so pleased that I trusted my fathers care to Helping Hands. I had felt that no one could care for him in the way that I did but it was becoming too much for me as his care needs increased and I had a job and a family to care for. I was proven wrong by the excellent care that Helping Hands provided.
The
care plan that was set up covered everything that I needed it to and the suggestions that were made for how to implement it were excellent. The carers always turned up, were rarely outside of the designated time slot and performed their duties with care, consideration and genuine warmth. My dad grew very fond of some of them and established friendly relationships with the ones he saw most often.
If I had queries or needed to change the care needs at all I had only to email or telephone and these were responded to quickly and positively.
I would have no hesitation at all in recommending Helping Hands.

I recently took on Helping Hands for my elderly mother to help with general cleaning of her home. April who I met was very helpful and ran through everything that was available to my mum and how it all worked. Donna started the following week. Mum really liked her and she did a great job taking on the
harder work that my mum can no longer do very well. She now looks forward to her visits.

Generally speaking our experience is very positive. My husband loves his regular carers and they are always polite and respectful to me too. The only problems occur when we need relief carers and often we just manage on our own then.

Helping Hands are a professional team of carers. The office team work exceptionally hard to ensure demands are met from clients, always accommodating with flexibility and last minute changes to care plans. They listen, and they actually do care.
Mum felt well looked after, and so did I as mums primary
carer. I needed the support and Helping Hands endeavoured to provide it.
The process was easy to manage, making short notice changes and providing extra care sessions stress-free to arrange.
Helping Hands offered me a little peace of mind when I desperately needed that respite.
I can't thank the team enough and would highly recommend the company if you are looking for reliable and trustworthy carers with excellent communication.

My sisters and I are extremely happy with the service provided by the carers and more importantly so is our Mother.
They are always on time and get on with the duties that are asked of them. They are very polite, friendly, professional, carry out an excellent job and also use their initiative if they
see something needs addressing.
We all feel very confident and reassured that our mother is getting the help she needs to allow her to stay in her own home and know that if needed in the future we can increase the carers input knowing they'll provide a sensitive, caring and professional service.

The carers from Helping Hands Home Care (Harlow) were reactive and sensitive in dealing with my Mother whose dementia has been deepening. Everyone was always kind and arrived on time which helped my sister and I make plans for activities with Mum. Requests for changes in care plan were quickly and easily
initiated. As the dementia progresses we have had to constantly move with it so changes were regular.
Overall a really good provider.

I can not praise Helping Hands highly enough for the care and support my mum has received over the last year. They have made it possible for her to stay in her own home for longer. They have always treated Mum as an individual and shown interest in the stories of her younger life. The daily reports
were very helpful. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Helping Hands to anyone in need of some support in their home.

With the assistance of Helping Hands carers, my parents have been able to continue living in their own home as independently as possible.
The carers work to a comprehensive care plan, guiding and supporting whenever they can, but stepping in and taking charge when needed. I have met a number of the
team and they have all been: friendly, polite, caring and professional. The Branch Care Manager and office staff are readily available to discuss any issues, whether raised by the family, or noted by the carers. If carers have noted a welfare concern, the office will make contact promptly to agree next steps, involving external agencies if necessary. The care package has been invaluable to my parents for personal care, meals and other domestic tasks. It is also very reassuring for the family to know that there will be a daily welfare check, especially on days when we cannot visit ourselves. Thank you Helping Hands!

I would like to say how fantastic all the carers from Helping Hands have been. They are kind, caring and reliable. The carers who have helped look after my Mum and Dad have been absolutely lovely and the help and support they have provided has been invaluable and is very much appreciated. I wish that

I've been looked after by quite a few care agencies, but Helping Hands is the best by a long way. Carers turn up on time every day. The organisation is run very smoothly and professionally. Care plans are in place and kept to. One of the two things I like the most is that they seem to have bulletproof
reliability. The other thing I love about Helping Hands is the quality of their carers. They are friendly, kind and helpful and are able to help me with personal care leaving my dignity intact. Helping Hands are the best of the best!

Sadly Mum only used Helping Hands services for a short time as she decided to move to a care home but during the few weeks she found the carers to be very kind, punctual and flexible in their approach. They would cook her the food she wanted and carry out tasks in the kitchen. They also watered her
hanging baskets. One day Mum decided she didn't want any tasks undertaken so the carer sat and chatted to her. I would recommend Helping Hands.

Job Title: Branch Care Manager

About me

My role at Helping Hands as a branch manager is to make sure my customers are receiving safe care and that the visiting carer has the right knowledge of the customers' needs. I also make sure the carers are promoting independence during the time in our customers' homes. It's also my responsibility to make sure my care staff have a safe working environment and to follow regular check-ups of my customers and carers to ensure their wellbeing.
I joined the care industry because I have always liked helping people and making a difference.

I think the service we provide is amazing, I love the fact that my team and myself work together to ensure people can stay in their homes for as long as possible. I think it gives family members peace of mind as well, knowing that we have very well-trained and trusted carers and staff to look after their relatives. Whether it be to give them a break or because they live too far away, we are always sure to keep them informed.

I'm a single mum to a beautiful little girl and I like to spend time with her; we are always going out and some of our favourite things are the zoo and the beach. I used to do dance, cheerleading and gymnastics and it's still something that I'm passionate about. I eventually taught dance and I've performed many times over my career as a dancer in a wide variety of places, such as the Lord Mayor's show, Disneyland, X-factor and as an extra in a few productions.

I spend most of my time away from work with my daughter and family, but I do occasionally go out with my friends. I am a hard worker and I always put others before myself and I think people see that.

Experience and expertise

At the beginning of my career, I worked in performing arts, I was a dance teacher and dancer.

I then joined a health and social care, working in medical recruitment. I recruited doctors, nurses, and bank staff to name a few, for hospitals and surgeries.

I have been in the social care sector for 10 years, but I joined the Helping Hands care team in September 2020 as a care assistant in the Chigwell branch. I worked my way up and became Care and Training Practitioner, then I helped the company with recruitment for multiple branches. In December 2021 I moved over to the Harlow branch and became the Branch Care Manager.

I am about to start my NVQ Level 5 in Social Care and I already have an NVQ Level 2 in Business and Administration.

As a care worker, I would look after my customer's well-being. I would cook and clean for them, help with personal care and be a friend to them as well as do what I could to help them stay at home. As a care and training practitioner, my job role was to make sure the carers were properly trained to take care of our customers; I would go out and observe the carers working to make sure they are working within the values of the company. I also did the monthly auditing to be sure that all care calls, medication, and financial calls taking place are done on time, efficiently and to the standard the company holds, as well as making sure correct documentation is in place.
As a branch care manager my job involves making sure my carers provide safe care and are promoting independence for our customers, as well as making sure we are effective as a business and making sure the right care is in place for our customers. I like to check on the well-being of customers and carers as part of my job while growing the business, and also making sure my carers are happy within their roles.

I have a good team that all have the same goal in mind. My carers are a great team of people and they're all in the role for the right reason. They are all hard-working and go above and beyond.

Why I chose Helping Hands

I chose Helping Hands because I wanted to make a difference and I like the values the company identify with. I also like the flexibility of the job as I had just had my daughter so I could care for her and work around the hours I had available.

I am looking forward to growing the customer and carer base and providing more care as the business grows. I am also looking forward to completing my NVQ.
I enjoy seeing that the carers feel valued and rewarded for their hard work.

I enjoy seeing that the customers are feeling heard and supported in what they want out of the care they receive.
I enjoy going out and meeting potential customers and I also enjoy being a part of the team that I have now.
