Sadly Mum only used Helping Hands services for a short time as she decided to move to a care home but during the few weeks she found the carers to be very kind, punctual and flexible in their approach. They would cook her the food she wanted and carry out tasks in the kitchen. They also watered her hanging baskets. One day Mum decided she didn't want any tasks undertaken so the carer sat and chatted to her. I would recommend Helping Hands.
Thank you so much for leaving this lovely review and recommendation for us! I'm very pleased to hear that our carers were able to make a difference to your mum's life and that they were so kind, punctual, and flexible in their approach. It was our pleasure to provide support for your mum, and we're so grateful for your feedback.
Best wishes.
Since the managers have changed on a frequent basis, Helping Hands Harlow has gone from bad to worst. They now have a manager that doesn't seem to give a dam about customers' welfare. Excellent choice if you just want to unload your loved ones, but keep clear if you care about them, until there's new management in charge.
The carers treat my father with dignity. I have peace of mind knowing someone is going in each day. It works best for us when the same carer attends, rather than a selection of people, which Helping Hands Home Care do try to do.
Thank you so much for this great review! I'm so pleased that we can provide you with the peace of mind that your father is being being looked after and treated with dignity. On some occasions, we aren't able to provide the same carer all the time, but if you'd like to discuss this further, then please don't hesitate to get in contact with me directly.
Losing some of your independence is tough as you get older but Helping hands have helped Mum remain in her own home. Everyone we have met has been kind and caring and go out of their way to engage with Mum. I would definitely recommend.
Best wishes.
For the last 6 months, we have had the services of help with housework for one hour a week. This has made a tremendous difference to me, particularly, because as an old woman of 81 with chronic osteoporosis I had found housework an enormous challenge and very difficult. The Helping Hands 'cleaners' have been marvellous and ever ready to do whatever I asked. It's made it possible to spend more time with my frail and ailing husband of 89. I have really appreciated the help and my husband has too.We had 5 different cleaners in a short space of time in the beginning which I found some getting used to, but recently we have had the services of one member of staff which has been excellent.
Best wishes.
Helpful, friendly carers. Efficient office staff. I would recommend helping hands, the prices are a little high compared with some other providers.
Thank you so much for leaving a great review! I'm so pleased to hear how happy you are with our carers, and all of your feedback is very much appreciated.
Best wishes
All the carers who look after my Aunt are very kind and helpful. They all go out of their way to make sure she is happy and comfortable. The team are also very flexible as they take her to her group once a month. Her elder sister is in a residential care home and they have not seen each other for over a year but the team were good enough to take my Aunt to see her last month.
Best wishes
The team at Helping Hands have been great. They are well organised and professional, always available for a chat, and flexible when it comes to the complicated lives of their clients. The carers are all kind and efficient - my mum has said they are all friendly and on time. After a few short weeks, the team have shown themselves to be understanding and adaptable, and they have a clear billing system too.
Best wishes
I can honestly say as a daughter, the care my mum receives from all the lovely day care ladies who sit with her for 2 hours a day is truly second to none. The time each individual takes to get to know Mum is heart warming. Nothing is too much trouble and I have met quite a few of them and they are always so upbeat and cheerful. They can gauge when Mum wants to be involved in a conversation or indeed if she needs quiet time. Mum always feels incredibly safe and assured with all of them. For me when dealing with Helping Hands Home Cate - Harlow direct in terms of maybe changing times, invoices etc their response is always incredibly efficient and courteous.
Thank you so much for leaving such a glowing review! I'm delighted to hear how our carers have formed a good relationship with your mum, and I'm thrilled with how happy you are with our service. Your kind words are very much appreciated.
Best wishes

About me
I joined the care industry because I have always liked helping people and making a difference.
I think the service we provide is amazing, I love the fact that my team and myself work together to ensure people can stay in their homes for as long as possible. I think it gives family members peace of mind as well, knowing that we have very well-trained and trusted carers and staff to look after their relatives. Whether it be to give them a break or because they live too far away, we are always sure to keep them informed.
I'm a single mum to a beautiful little girl and I like to spend time with her; we are always going out and some of our favourite things are the zoo and the beach. I used to do dance, cheerleading and gymnastics and it's still something that I'm passionate about. I eventually taught dance and I've performed many times over my career as a dancer in a wide variety of places, such as the Lord Mayor's show, Disneyland, X-factor and as an extra in a few productions.
I spend most of my time away from work with my daughter and family, but I do occasionally go out with my friends. I am a hard worker and I always put others before myself and I think people see that.
Experience and expertise
I then joined a health and social care, working in medical recruitment. I recruited doctors, nurses, and bank staff to name a few, for hospitals and surgeries.
I have been in the social care sector for 10 years, but I joined the Helping Hands care team in September 2020 as a care assistant in the Chigwell branch. I worked my way up and became Care and Training Practitioner, then I helped the company with recruitment for multiple branches. In December 2021 I moved over to the Harlow branch and became the Branch Care Manager.
I am about to start my NVQ Level 5 in Social Care and I already have an NVQ Level 2 in Business and Administration.
As a branch care manager my job involves making sure my carers provide safe care and are promoting independence for our customers, as well as making sure we are effective as a business and making sure the right care is in place for our customers. I like to check on the well-being of customers and carers as part of my job while growing the business, and also making sure my carers are happy within their roles.
I have a good team that all have the same goal in mind. My carers are a great team of people and they're all in the role for the right reason. They are all hard-working and go above and beyond.
Why I chose Helping Hands
I chose Helping Hands because I wanted to make a difference and I like the values the company identify with. I also like the flexibility of the job as I had just had my daughter so I could care for her and work around the hours I had available.
I enjoy seeing that the carers feel valued and rewarded for their hard work.
I enjoy going out and meeting potential customers and I also enjoy being a part of the team that I have now.
