My name is Laura and I’m the Operations Manager at Alcedo Care North Liverpool. My role is to oversee the day-to-day running of our home care service. I am responsible for ensuring that our service meets all legal and regulatory requirements (according to CQC), and to ensure that we are providing excellent quality, person-centred care to our clients, always ensuring their needs are met above and beyond.
I’ve been working in the care sector for 18 years, starting as a care assistant in a care home, then progressing to a senior care assistant and a deputy manager before becoming a registered manager. I have been with Alcedo Care since August 2022, and this is my first job within the home care element of the care sector. It has opened my eyes to a whole new world of care for what care we can offer people, whilst in the comfort of their own home. I have completed an NVQ Level 2 & 3 in Health and Social Care, as well as a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Health and Social Care.
I chose to work in the care sector after helping look after several family members who required care, and also following in the footsteps of several family members who have or still do work in the care sector.
Outside of work, I enjoy travelling to new places, going to the gym, reading a good book and walking with my Dachshund Tilly.

My name is Adam and I am the Care Coordinator at Alcedo Care Liverpool. My role involves allocating our care workers to our clients, working with our staff’s availability, level of experience and specialist skills, and aligning them to our clients’ needs.
Hi, my name is Claire, and I am head of live-in care for Alcedo Care England & Wales. I have worked in the care sector for over twenty years, in several different settings, including care homes, care in the community and hospital settings. I started as a carer, then was promoted to a senior carer, before becoming a care coordinator. I then went on to become a Registered Manager for a domiciliary care company. I have a QCF Level 5 in Leadership within Social Care and Young People's Services.
I chose to work in the care sector because I am a very caring person and felt I had a lot to give to vulnerable people, less fortunate than myself. I chose to work for Alcedo Care for its professional structure and excellent reputation, coupled with the fact that Alcedo Care is a family-run business with excellent vision and values. In my spare time, I enjoy walking and going to the gym. I also enjoy travelling and going to concerts and festivals.
