This is our first experience of home care, but from our very first contact with Helping Hands we have been treated with understanding, consideration, and professionalism by everyone we have dealt with. The daily visits are always on time, unless an emergency situation causes a change to the timetable. In these rare cases we are always kept fully informed and updated. Nothing is too much trouble for my wife's carers, and she already regards them as friends. It is great to know we can rely on Helping Hands for my wife's daily needs both now and into the future.
We're very happy with the service provided. Both the care and the admin behind it are excellent and all that we could hope for. It's clear that for Helping Hands the needs of the client come first. It's good to know that other support is available (and the time may come when we need it) but for now, with their support, we are doing what we can to make our 90-year old mother as comfortable and happy as she can be.
The carers are kind and will try and help their clients as much as possible.
Communication is good.
My Brother has been supported by Helping Hands since his diagnosis of MND in November. He started with just a fortnightly visit to help with some household chores. He now is supported 4 times a day and for me, living so far away, they have been heaven sent. For my Brother, I believe, helping him to keep his independence as much as possible. From resisting any help he now looks forward to the visits. I am never made to feel like a fuss pot when I call. I am always treated with kindness and any any problem is solved. I do not know how either of us would have coped without the help
Thank you
Mum has had Helping Hands for over a year. Her main carer is outstanding, she goes above and beyond and we have real peace of mind knowing mum is well cared for. All the staff are lovely and treat mum like one of their own.
My aunt has been receiving support from Helping Hands Northampton for the past four months and I am pleased to report that this has been a really good decision to implement care in the morning and evening. My aunt has become familiar with the routine and the care staff who attend to her and now looks forward to seeing someone first thing in the morning and last thing at night. The care staff have encouraged her to eat a more balanced diet (something we failed to do) and this is helping her diabetes. The care staff also report back to us any issues either with our aunt or with her living accommodation so that we can remedy them. We definitely feel that we have a good balance of care and support and this is not only providing our aunt with reassurance but us too as her family who live a considerable distance away. The office staff have also been excellent as there were some access issues to start with, but they worked with us and together we were able to resolve them. Thank you.
Helping Hands have provided an excellent service for my aunt during a difficult time. They have been totally focused on her needs, and are proactive in finding solutions when problems arrive. The carers have built a good relationship with my aunt and they are supporting her staying in her own home independently.

I oversee and set up care packages locally, ensuring our team provides top-quality care to keep customers safe and independent at home. We tailor care to meet individual needs and build strong relationships with our customers. My passion for the industry began 14 years ago when my mum was diagnosed with dementia. I‘ve worked in the sector since 2009, and in my spare time, I enjoy music and trips to Cornwall.
