My husband has been receiving care from Home Instead for 8 months after previously having been with 2 other companies. Home Instead, by far, provide the best, and most excellent, level of service. Carers are well-trained, kind, compassionate and give my husband the respect and dignity that anyone could wish for their loved one. The level of care and communication is excellent on every level, from office admin through to care in the home. The app is especially useful to see the notes written by care staff. From day one, everything was explained thoroughly, and every effort made to support my requests. Careful consideration is also given to match up the client with the appropriate carers. Care staff appear to be well-supported which enable them to provide a hugely respectful level of dignified care to meet my husband's many and changing care needs. Carers have also shown me, as my husband's full-time carer, compassion and support when days have been challenging.

Overall Experience

We have been receiving care from Home instead for the last few weeks. Previously our friend had home care from another care provider but for the last nine months had been in a care home in Perth. It was her wish to return home and then we were introduced to the Home Instead service, and what a service that has been. Phone calls from one carer when our friend had managed to stand with an aid, great excitement. A carer who brought a crumpet from home to make Eggs Royal (Eggs Benedict but with smoked salmon) including making fresh hollandaise sauce (Amazing). Although just for a short period due to illness which has involved a hospital admission, our friend became more animated than we had seen in some time, spoke with fondness about the carers, who were so caring and concerned (true professionals) and regularly the same carers leading to reassuring continuity. On the morning of our friend's collapse, the carer was a tower of strength but visibly concerned and so supportive to us.

Overall Experience

My mum describes the main carer who has been visiting her since March as "very pleasant". She takes her out to do shopping and other things that she needs doing. Mum tells me that she enjoys conversations with her. I know she looks forward to her coming each week.

Overall Experience

The experience so far has been excellent. It has taken us a little while to work out the correct level of support my mum requires, but this is normal, and Home Instead have been flexible and helpful in finding out what is best for my mum. My mum likes all her carers, who I believe do their very best to make their time with her well-spent and useful for her, through their flexibility and ability to see things that would be good for her and benefit her. Communication with management should any issues arise has been great, so we are very pleased with the service we have received from Home Instead.

Overall Experience

Two hours of assistance per week. Very kind and thoughtful with suggestions as to what I can do to make life easier. Helps with cooking and sorting out clothes, food in freezer and also accompanied me on short walks locally.

Overall Experience

Home Instead has been supporting my dad for 3 months now. This has allowed us peace of mind, and I have been very happy with the service. The carers are always helpful and kind. They are reliable, and we have a number whom dad has been able to get to know well. The office staff and finance team are responsive and efficient.

My carer is a great support when out, observes my needs. Supports me at my hospital appointments which can be draining if I didn't have her. The agency are good at communicating, seeing requirements I need. Thank you.

The ongoing support visits to my mother have continued to offer

an excellent level of care. To date, it has been possible for the same staff member to undertake the visits which is greatly appreciated by both my mother and myself as my mother relates to this individual carer very well. My mother finds the support visits both an enjoyable and positive experience.

Mum has only been receiving care from Home Instead for 2 weeks but the experience so far has been very positive. The carers are all very pleasant and caring and not only provide a high standard of care but take time to chat with mum and get to know her.
Having had less positive experiences with other care providers this is a big weight off my mind. They have made an effort to communicate with me and keep me informed- something sadly lacking from other services. The app is excellent as I can check every day to see how mum is and enables me to act promptly if any issues.

Overall have found Home Instead a caring, professional service.

During December 2021, because of a change in family circumstances, my Grans care provider changed to Home Instead.
Initially, as a family we were nervous with the change in provider as we had built up positive relationships with the previous carers, however, we need not have worried.
In my Grans words; I was nervous leaving, but everyone is so nice.
All the carers who have been caring for Gran are exactly who you would want looking after a family member. They are lovely, kind, caring and trustworthy. They provide a high standard of personal care, they support with domestic tasks such as washing and for us as a family, this is a huge support to us all, but most importantly, they engage with Gran during visits and have made a huge effort in getting to know her personally.
The app which Home Instead use is fantastic! As a family, we like being able to see when Grans visits are scheduled and who will be visiting.

We can’t thank Home Instead enough for their care and support!

Overall Experience
We are in the early stages of using Home Instead Perthshire as a care provider. All seems to be going well, our parents seem happy (which is the important thing) with the service and the servicing staff, but as time moves on dare say more opinions will be available with the service being provided.
Management of Home Instead moved quickly to set up the partnership and selected specific members of staff from Home Instead all bringing different outlooks to the table in providing the necessary care to accommodate our parents.
The app is most helpful as in this case my brothers can keep updated and make comments accordingly.

As stated we are in the early stages of this care provision but looking forward to liaising more with the care staff and management to direct our parents with the necessary care that they need.

Absolutely first-class service for my elderly mother, carers are so friendly and kind, any problem they encounter with my mother's care is dealt with in a professional yet caring manner.

The app used to update family members after each visit is excellent, gives everyone peace of mind.

Overall Experience
We have just recently signed up with Home Instead. The manager and her team have been fantastic from day one. Professional, fully trained, engaged and friendly carers. This company really understand their clients and their clients' needs. Their focus is entirely on the health and wellbeing of the client. They go the extra mile at every opportunity and provide genuine friendship when it comes to helping and supporting my mum.

They undoubtedly know their job and their clients. If you are looking for a company that will genuinely care for your loved ones then I would wholeheartedly recommend Home Instead without question.

My experience of having carers from Home Instead is good. They are very reliable, punctual and efficient, giving confidence and help when needed. I also like to be able to have the same carers, usually 2 interchanging for time off.

Overall Experience

Home Instead was recommended to me by a friend because the care was flexible and staff were not constantly changing - important factors in our choice of provided. The former proved to be accurate, unfortunately. Initially, this was not the case regarding staffing. However, this issue now seems to have been resolved. Care has been taken to match staff with my mother and those who now come are extremely good. I live a long distance from my mother and members of the management team have been very helpful when I have had any queries.
