I have been using Right at Home, Loughborough, for a couple of months, for my husband who suffers with Alzheimer's, and I can't fault them. Their manager is very approachable and pleasant, and the team of carers who operate in twos, are so cheerful every visit, greeting my husband with big smiles and asking how he is. They are very respectful to him, and realise that he dislikes having personal care so they always tell him what they are going to do, and why. They each have a proficient and capable manner, and great patience.

They always leave him comfortable and snug.

On the whole the help I have received from your Carers has been very good. Some of your Carers are exceptional whilst others are good. I have been impressed by the time keeping of all the Carers & on the occasions when they have been running late through no fault of their own I have been kept informed. The weekly schedule of Carers has worked very well & it is convenient to know in advance who will be delivering care on each visit. I would have no hesitation to recommend your Company to anyone I know who requires care.

Thank you. I will pass on your comments to the team. Thank you too for highlighting that good time keeping and communication is so important and really valued by our Clients. It is of course efficient to manage the roster well and courteous to advise of any changes but also demonstrates our respect for our Clients, which is one of our core values. Thank you again.

If you want high quality, compassionate care in the home then look no further than the right at home team. I live abroad and following the death of my father 3 years ago we realized that my mother required some additional help at home. The team were able to provide flexible, high quality care that suited my mum's evolving needs from initial social visits to eventually full day care. Throughout this time the care felt like a true partnership, the team gave me daily updates which were reassuring living in another country. They were also incredibly flexible adding in extra visits as needed even with less that 24h notice. My mother and I can't thank the team enough for enabling her to stay safely in her home as long as possible.

Thank you for your very kind review. We always share reviews in the business particularly, with the carers most involved and they will be thrilled. I just wanted to say a big thank you for the care you provided for my mum over Christmas.
From the first phone call on the Friday before Christmas, to the home visit on the Monday and the carer arriving promptly on the Tuesday, everything was handled so smoothly and professionally. The carer did a wonderful job of looking after Mum while she was staying with me, and it made a huge difference to us as a family to know she was in such good hands.
Please pass on my thanks to everyone involved, especially the carer. We really appreciated your support.

Best wishes,

Reply from David Newcombe, Managing Director at Right at Home (Loughborough)

Thank you so much for this review. As a provider that works almost exclusively with private clients and can therefore avoid the typical 'time and task' approach to care, we usually have capacity, even at Christmas. Punctuality is also a strength because our carers are not intensively rostered...

Prompt helpful response with an emergency over the busiest time at Christmas. I was impressed by the assessment, helpful additional advice and the ability to fit to requested times with all but one day having any due delay.

I was also impressed by the flexibility to adapt to the medication types prescribed by the hospital which were complex. This gave us significantly more peace of mind. All the staff were very caring and helpful and quickly overcame any initial apprehension. Thank you .

Thank you very much for these kind words. Hospital discharges can unfortunately, be very sudden and can seem a little chaotic. I'm delighted we were able to help and, smooth the process for you and your mother and, thank you for taking the time to review us, much appreciated, David

Thank you for your positive review. I think you sum up very well, the important factors of all care but, home care in particular. I utilised the RAH service for return from hospital and a subsequent home visit.
They are professional, on time and easy to contact and deal with which makes a big difference when having to juggle NHS surgeries, appointments and everything else that just gets on top after a bad diagnosis.

I've employed Right at Home (Loughborough) on two occasions in the last twelve months to support the care needs of an elderly friend. Each time, from the initial enquiry to the deployment of plans and care professionals, the service has been first class. My friend has received caring, flexible, personalised services with a very much "can do" approach.
I had to vary arrangements often to meet my friends requirements and each time the changes were dealt with effectively and with kindness and understanding.

I will recommend Right at Home (Loughborough) at every opportunity.

Right at Home (Loughborough) looked after me after I had undergone a hip replacement in May 2025, when they took over my post-operative care following on from my family. I was required by the surgeon to wear anti-DVT socks for the six weeks following the operation -- an impossible task for me to perform. So for four weeks, RaH carers visited me twice daily to see to the (dratted but necessary) socks and to give me care and support as needed as I regained strength and ability. It was apparent to me that every single carer who visited me was extremely well-trained in every aspect of the role. I enjoyed the companionship of each of them, despite my challenging circumstances which, of course, continued to improve with time. From first contact to finish, the RaH management proved extremely capable, flexible and user-friendly. As the time came to ditch the socks and my care was no longer needed, there was some regret, but I am whole-heartedly happy to recommend this care-providing company.

Right at Home have been helping my parents live safely at home for three years or so now. They have have been really responsive to changing needs and the quality of service is very consistent. The management team have always responded quickly to requests or concerns.

My father has been particularly struck that not only are they providing a very professional service, but that they do genuinely care about his wellbeing. Contact with the carers themselves help keep my parents engaged with the wider world in a way that wouldn't otherwise be possible and there are many examples of when they have gone above and beyond what could be expected.

Reply from David Newcombe, Managing Director at Right at Home (Loughborough)

Thank you. It is clear from the comments we have from all CareGivers who support your parents that, they really look forward to their visits and they are a pleasure to support. They have real interest in and, genuinely care for our Caregivers and as a result they do feel very much appreciated. I will pass your kind words to the care team who I know will be thrilled. My mother required live-in night support whilst she recovered from a health issue.

Right at Home was very responsive and able to meet our requirements in a matter of a few days. More importantly, the care was excellent and the people who "slept in" overnight with my mother were terrific, the ability to have consistent faces was important for my mother as she could develop a trusting relationship which she did very quickly. Cannot recommend these folks highly enough.

My aunty has required care in her home since two periods of hospitalisation at the end of 2023. The care which has been provided by Right at Home is exceptional. The supervisory and management team keep up excellent communication and offer superb advice and suggestions. This is very welcome when trying to look after an elderly relative as it is often very difficult to make informed decisions about their health and wellbeing when it is something you are not experienced with. The caregivers are so kind and caring, very often going above and beyond their standard duties to help out both my aunty and us, her close family. Myself and other close family members live over an hour away from my aunty, so it's very comforting to know that she is in such good hands. Right at Home, you are doing an excellent job - thank you.

Thank you so much for your very positive review. I will, of course, share your comments with both the management team and caregivers. David Newcombe Job Title: Managing Director Joined: 2020
David Newcombe

David has a commercial and general management background. During 2020, he, like many, questioned if there could be, or should be, more to his working life. The answer was a resounding yes, and he realised that the route to care had been signposted many times in his life, and he was introduced to Right at Home UK. He now believes moving into care was the best decision he has ever made, as it is truly a privilege to work within this sector and serve the community.

Claire Moseley

As the Registered Manager, Claire has responsibility for both the quality and the compliance of the care delivered. This means she will be very familiar with the needs of every client and will have interviewed every Carer herself. The role of the RM within a care company is most important, as they are the first point of call for the CQC.

Claire has a Degree in Psychology with Health Studies and has worked in the care sector for over twenty years. During this time, Claire has amassed valuable experience in all areas of care.

Danielle Bradshaw Job Title: Care Co-Ordinator Joined: 2021

Mandy has another string to her bow, in that she has multidisciplinary ‘train-the-trainer’ accreditation so she delivers most of our training to new Carers and as part of the constant refreshers and updates for Carers.
