ExemplaCare is a nurse-led, family-run home care provider supporting adults in Buckingham, Winslow and nearby villages, with a growing presence serving the Watlington area of Oxfordshire. The agency combines experienced registered nurses with carefully selected local carers to deliver person-centred support at home, from short visits upwards, seven days a week. Phone lines are open from early morning to late evening for advice and coordination.

Every new client receives a holistic assessment by a registered nurse, ensuring the right blend of practical help, personal care and clinical oversight. Ongoing packages can include personal care, help around the home, companionship and escorted outings, nutrition and hydration support, medication assistance and coordination with other health professionals. The team is skilled in dementia support, palliative and end-of-life care, and complex needs. An in-house nursing service provides continuity and rapid escalation when required.

Training and supervision are a priority: care staff are recruited for kindness and reliability and are trained to robust Skills for Care standards, with additional learning in areas such as dementia, diabetes, PEG feeding and long-term conditions. The agency uses secure electronic records so information is up-to-date across the team.

Quality is independently recognised: the Care Quality Commission rates ExemplaCare 'Good', reflecting safe, compassionate and well-led care (inspection published 4 March 2023).

ExemplaCare can also connect clients with allied services; a partnered physiotherapy clinic offers tailored rehabilitation and mobility support, complementing day-to-day care at home.

We are really very happy with the care my Mum receives from the Exemplacare carers she has visit. Initially Mum was reluctant to accept she needed carers but she now looks forward to their visits. It is clear that she has built up good relationships with them. It is also clear (from the times Mum was
admitted to hospital) that the carers have really got to know her and care about her. Mum started off fiercely independent and you handled this brilliantly, allowing her to decide what help was needed when, but encouraging her to take it. Of late I sense you now just get on with what needs doing (and on occasion going out of your way to do it), which is great. The office staff are very friendly and helpful willing to make adjustments (with appropriate notice) when required. A relatively last minute cancellation because Mum finally decided she was coming away with us for the weekend was met with pleasure that she was going away rather than agitation over the need to rearrange visits.
