Overall Experience

I have been very impressed with this care provider right from the beginning. We needed carers very suddenly, following my mother’s injury, and I was amazed how quickly we were able to establish a visiting care routine. All the carers I have met have been professional and compassionate and seem happy in their job. It has been very easy to alter the care provision and react to changes in circumstances as my mother’s needs evolved. Overall, I am very happy that we picked this care provider from the agencies listed.

I’ve never come across someone more caring and who goes above and beyond as the carer does. When my brother and I can’t get to my Dad quick enough, he offers to go even if he’s not working. Overall Experience

Following a live-in carer arranged by another company, I changed to this care provider. Having new carers visit me has enabled me to stay in my own home where I want to be. The staff are handy and helpful and I love seeing their cheery faces. They make me laugh and appreciate anything they do for me. Thank you.

Overall Experience
I needed help after breaking my leg with keeping on top of daily housework and chores. I have two large dogs!
The service was put in place within a couple of days of our meeting and every day, without fail, the carers arrive. They check with me what I need doing on the day and just get on with the job.
Each carer is very efficient, considerate and thoughtful and always asks if there is anything else I need or they can do for me.

My recovery will only be a few months but in the meantime, this compnay has made my life so much easier and bearable. Highly recommend their service.

Overall Experience

I needed help with washing and dressing in the mornings and evenings, following a shoulder operation. The carers were professional and friendly and arrived on time. The help given enabled me to help myself after about ten days.

Overall Experience

This care provider has been a positive experience of care as they are my father's first carers. I provide most of the care for my father, however, the carers provide the personal care. I have appreciated having the same carers so I have been able to build a relationship and find ways of working together. The consistency has been helpful for my father and he has been treated respectfully and with dignity.

Overall Experience

I was recommended this care provider by a friend who used their services and can now understand why they came highly recommended. My mum is bed-bound and being cared for in a nursing home but needed someone to visit on days I am unable. The company met both Mum and I in the care home to establish what was required out of the visit and were incredibly sensitive and intuitive to Mum's needs. They matched the perfect carer to visit, she just knows what Mum wants to talk about and is very engaging, kind and thoughtful. Already I have seen a huge improvement in my mum's mental health, she now seems so much more relaxed and happier. I can't thank them enough.

We needed to have a senior family member transported, cared for her, between her care home in Wimbledon to a family birthday party in Surrey for her daughter, and return.
This care provider was recommended to us by my friend who is a user of your services. Setting up this service provision offered us the support we needed and saved a family member from undertaking these journeys.
You set this up for us and chose your senior carer to manage this important task. I am delighted to say that it all went extremely well.
She was superb in her timekeeping for the collection and delivery as required. We found her not only professional but also understanding of our situation given her charge has dementia and is elderly. She gave total, kind and understanding care. When it was time to return, Vanessa sought me out & briefed me on the final step of her evening's work.
The lady being cared for was thrilled to be afforded kindness and professional care, and all in an unobtrusive way.

At the age of 98 and completely compos mentis, my mum was finding it very tiring to get her evening meal ready; this tiredness plus a bout of dehydration had led to several falls in the home, happily all without injury. She took some persuading, but on the recommendation of my best friend, whose father is cared for by this care provider, we contacted them, and with great professionalism, the assessment was carried out, and I am happy to report that since they took over her care in the evening, we have had no falls because she doesn't get so tired anymore.
She tells me all about the different carers and how kind they all are. Without them,, my sister and I would be very worried, and this arrangement means everyone can relax, so many thanks all-round.

Any query is dealt with straight away by the office, and I cannot tell you how pleasing it is to phone a number and not hear a recorded message with options and a long wait ahead, but an instant reply by a real person!

Having used carers before, I couldn't believe the difference when I changed to this care provider and was sorry I hadn't done it before. All the carers I've had, have been professional, caring, gentle and nothing is too much trouble. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending them to others.

My father was reticent about this move to 1st Homecare, but at nearly 90 years old, it was time! His carer has been absolutely wonderful, balancing that tricky mix between professionalism, doing the job and companionship. My dad is full of praise and his mood has clearly improved, I'm very grateful.

Overall Experience

So far, I have to say the staff have been a gift from Heaven. They are polite and professional, and their timekeeping is immaculate. I hope the staff have enjoyed my Uncle and I as much as we have enjoyed them, from the excellent carer in the morning to the others later on. My Uncle and I particularly like one other carer too. Thanks for the excellent service, and equally important these days is the fact that they are reasonably priced.

Overall Experience

The team were a wonderful addition to Mum's care when she came out of the rehab unit following a stroke. Once the NHS care stopped they stepped in and were able to offer exactly the kind of care Mum needed. Predominantly we needed someone there to make sure Mum was safe doing everyday things like getting in and out the shower, never invading her privacy but adding a sense of security knowing someone was there at the same time every day, should she need them. Luckily personal care wasn’t needed, but knowing someone was coming in every day was a godsend to us if we couldn’t be there due to work and family commitments. Continuity of care was good, and this was important to us. They were also excellent at understanding Mum's needs and maintaining boundaries. Also very important for someone who is very independent and keen to get back to full health as fast as possible. Highly recommended! Thank you all for your care and help in getting Mum back to herself.

Marie Rigg
I have worked within the care sector for a great many years, I started as a care worker and then progressed through to Senior Carer, Field Care Supervisor, Manager, Registered Manager and am now proud to be working with Visiting Angels, Central Surrey as General Manager.
Over the years I have seen a variety of standards of care which has made me determined to ensure that everyone gets the quality care and support they deserve, my role gives me the opportunity to expand our services and provide that premium quality care that customers have come to expect from our valued team of caregivers, we like to call them Angels.
We know that our Angels are brilliant, caring, professional people doing amazing work. Too often homecare workers are under-appreciated but at Visiting Angels we put carers at the centre of our business to make sure they can deliver a truly person-centred premium quality service to you or your loved ones.

One of my personal aspirations has always been to make a difference in people's lives, whenever and wherever I can, and I have been drawn by the genuine emphasis on premium quality care at Visiting Angels and believe in their ethos, values, and culture. I am proud to now be working with Visiting Angels, Central Surrey, and look forward to seeing the company continue to provide the excellent care for which it has already gained a name.

I have 10 years of experience in social care. Starting as a care worker I then progressed to senior care worker before becoming a care coordinator. I am very proud to become part of the team at Visiting Angels as a Registered Manager.

Being passionate about care and having seen over the years the pressure and stress that short visits, poor pay, and no travel time can put on both care workers and providers alike I was drawn to the carer centric values of Visiting Angels. With minimum hourly visits, travel time and constant support from management our Angels are able to provide person-centred care helping people to continue to live at home happily and independently with their friends and family. I am pleased to be a part of a team delivering the standard of care I would want my own family to receive.
