Greenwood Homecare (Cambridge)

I find the carers very good ,punctual rarely late and then only if there is a traffic problem. They are caring and always seem to be able to handle patients. My husband fell during the evening and was very stiff ,sore and slow the next morning but the carer didn't rush him,gave him reassurance and handled him gently.it was very much appreciated by both of us.

Excellent care - all the carers are gentle and sympathetic, my husband feels safe and secure with them. We are delighted with the service provided by Greenwood and very glad that we found them. Thanks to all.

My carer's are always on time and are always polite and pleasant. They give me my daily shower and then make me breakfast. Take washing out of machine and fold away into airing cupboard. They then take my rubbish out to the bins and recycle

I find this home care provider very good, they respond very quickly and issues are sorted out fast. I have recently asked my aunt how she was feeling about the carers and she said she is happy with them and she likes them all. I like that they can help with all kinds of things to include trips to the GP and dentist and as I know they are all trained to handle the elderly It's a weight of our minds. The carers respect my aunts need to carry on doing as much as she can for herself and they don't force her to do what she does not want to do. I was particularly impressed when they got a carer out to my aunt within 30 mins when she had hurt herself, that felt such a relief knowing we had someone else to rely on, they were able to call the district nurse which was such a big help. I don't believe any care provider can be perfect however, I do believe this one has some excellent staff, take feedback seriously and really try to do the best they can.

We used carers who used to come to the house to visit my husband after he went into a Care Home. The carers who visited helped him do some exercises and talked to him. I was able to follow what happened at the visits by reading their reports on line. I was very grateful for this facility. The carers were always generous with their time with my husband and he appreciated them coming.

I also much appreciate the promptness and straightforwardness with which any communications with management are dealt with. I value the flexibility available if I need to cancel a call at relatively short notice. There is full and clear information in the twice monthly billing, with opportunity to query anything, and a reasonable period before the direct debit payment is charged.

The carers arrived promptly. The first one was really good and the second one did her best but I had not left instructioins so had to be creative. I am entirely happy with the service. I will be using the service again, asking for halp with showers aND dressing. My husband )th is the patioent and was happy.

The service provided for my Father was excellent and the carer assigned did her best for my Father despite sometimes trying circumstances. The carer was adaptable and adjusted to my Fathers specifics needs on any given day. No complaints at all.

All carers are very friendly and treat my wife with respect and dignity. The carers could spend a little more time on my wife's appearance after her shower, which I have to correct at times, but this is a minor issue.

I am very happy with Greenwood and grateful when they showed considerable flexibility. An example is when I was recently admitted to hospital and some changes became necessary. Their regular rota schedule, sent in advance, is also extremely helpful. Thank you to Greenwood for all your support.

I have Parkinson's disease. Your helpers come in for half an hour every morning from Tuesday til Friday at 7.00 to get me showered and dressed and to check my general health and to help me with some tablets that I have to take, make up my bed and generally make sure I am ready to face the day. I get an email in advance telling me who is coming on each day. In general you tend to use the same two carers most of the time but on occasion you have to use a third or fourth or fifth carer, who are in general not as good as the regular ones who are both excellent. That is why I have only given four stars as if it was solely the two principle carers I would have given five stars. The management seem to be efficient, helpful and approachable and do genuinely seem to care for their workers.

The staff and management at Greenwood are really supportive. They took the time initially to see what services were needed. They respond quickly to queries and provide the care my father needs, adapting as we go along. The people that come into his home are so friendly, clean, organised and bring a smile into the morning. This cheers both my mum and dad in difficult and often frustrating circumstances.

We called Greenwood Care after my father had a stay in hospital and we had to support my mother who has mixed dementia. Mum needs to have a good hot meal at lunchtime and needs support with this. Greenwood Carers are very supportive and make Mum feel less stressed around lunchtime. Mum has 1 visit Monday to Friday at lunchtime, I have no hesitation in increasing the care with Greenwood when she needs it. The care managers are very supportive and have listened to my concerns and acted upon them making the carers aware of the changes.

Overall I am happy with the care given by the carers from Greenwood Homecare. My sister-in-law can often be very difficult but they cope with her very well. They fill out a report at the end of each visit on what they have done and how my sister-in-law is. They call out the district nurse if they have any concerns about her health. More importantly, they will sit and have a chat with her which provides important mental stimulation.

The management staff at Greenwood Cambridge are excellent. I have found them friendly, efficient, helpful and very approachable. I have been particularly impressed with the availability by phone and readiness to call back any time, which is important for family members who live outside the UK. Organisation and flexibility are far superior to experiences we have had with other care providers. The carers are, on the whole, excellent and ready to go the extra mile, communicating with each other to solve potential issues before they arise. This is important for us because my mum has a compromised immune system and can become anxious, for example, about people washing their hands upon entering her flat. Most staff are very understanding and pass on such details to people new to caring for her. She also appreciates the efforts made to ensure stability and continuity by using the same carers wherever possible. I would certainly recommend Greenwood and would like to thank everyone involved.

I have nothing but praise for all the staff who have cared for me from Greenwood Homecare during the recent time I have used their services. From the initial assessment with the Cambridge Homecare branch manager through all the carers who have visited me in my home, I have experienced great kindness and high-quality care. They are a happy team, and it shows! I will certainly be using their services again in the future.

Everyone at Greenwood Homecare go above and beyond for my mum's care. They are all friendly and helpful, always giving me a call with any concerns. My mum is very happy in their care, can't recommend them enough.

The manager has been an absolute superstar and has gone well above and beyond for us. I originally approached Greenwood after someone recommended the manager to me and the moment she came round for an initial chat, I knew that we'd be in safe hands. I honestly can't recommend the manager and her team highly enough!
