Mettle & Bond was founded with its principal mission being to look after clients being discharged from hospital into interim wellness facilities to aid rehabilitation. Over the years as reports identified significant concerns around the quality and consistency of home care service providers, Mettle & Bond changed its strategy to try and alleviate the issues that had arisen and decided to move into the home care sector.

All of my carers are bright, cheery girls who are a delight to see every morning. I am treated professionally, especially when I am in extra pain, and they ask how I am and are extremely caring. I am so, so sorry I am moving, but choosing you was the best thing I did. Big thank you to you all.

My wife came out of hospital two and a half years ago, with serious mobility issues, and needing a lot of care. Mettle and Bond staff have been immensely supportive. They are well-trained, professional, unfailingly cheerful, and are my first line of defence on the medical front. By that I mean that they notice and monitor things such as blisters, sores, or rashes, which I could easily miss, as well as keeping an eye open for a high temperature, or indications of infections such as UTIs. Also, a client such as my wife often needs a stock of items such as special creams or toiletry items, and staff keep me alert when we are running low. Staff turn up on time, and if for any reason they are delayed, they will phone ahead to let us know. I can wholeheartedly recommend Mettle and Bond.

I am overwhelmed with the service provided. She is the best cleaner and cook I have ever had. Every time she is here the flat feels more homely. She always goes above and beyond. The flat is spotless when she is finished. Clothes cleaned and ironed. I can't express how amazing the cooking is. She could be a restaurant chef! The most kindest person. Always greet me with a smile.

Managers and carers very pleasant to deal with. Carers have always done what we have asked of them. They virtually always arrive within their allotted time and if they have been held up for any reason they always phone to let me know.

I have used this care agency for a few years now and highly recommend their services. I have a physical disability which results in the need for a carer to help me with all aspects.
Where possible, the agency has supplied me with a regular individual who is exceptional with everything that she does. The care provided has always been high-quality, compassionate, reliable and professional. This has enabled us to build a strong and trustworthy professional relationship. The carers attentiveness and their willingness to go the extra mile has made a massive difference to my life. Their ability to provide support with a range of needs, from daily tasks to social outings has given me the opportunity to live as much as "normal" life as possible.

I highly recommend and appreciate all of the care and support you have given both me and my family.

First class caring with cheerful happy and very efficient staff. No comment on value for money. But things seem to be more or less in line with those of other care systems.

Initially we required a carer for my wife who had bladder cancer. The carer assigned had considerable experience of similar cases and was able to reassure my wife and provide excellent care. As the situation developed, the carer also provided support for me as I tried to cope with all the household chores. After my wife moved into a care home for palliative care, the carer has continued to help me run the house.

The carer assigned to us is wonderful in every way. She has a beautiful disposition combining a strong work ethic with a charming personality and a keen sense of humour. Our entire family has fallen completely in love with her. She has helped us all get through a very harrowing experience.

We have a live-in carer for my mother. It took a while to find the perfect match but now she has 2 girls that look after her and take turns over a 2 week period.

Overall, it is a good company for us, now we are established and my mother is very happy and settled with her care so I can't complain.

I was very happy to have him as my carer, he was caring and considerate and assessed my needs together. He was cheerful when greeting me/us and through my care. He was always smartly dressed and freshly presented.

He was only with us for 8 days. We learnt a lot about how to manage and felt more secure to manage without a carer.

I simply cannot thank the carers, management and how they care for my father enough. They treat him with total respect and after one and a half months, since they started have basically taken the pressure of looking after him off my hands. Obviously, it's expensive but some of the things they have had to deal with isn't something a son should ever have to do. If anybody is sitting there not knowing who to choose - that was me! Give them a call, they are lovely.
