Mettle and Bond was founded with its principal mission being to look after clients being discharged from hospital into interim wellness facilities to aid rehabilitation. Over the years as reports identified significant concerns around the quality and consistency of home care service providers, Mettle and Bond changed its strategy to try and alleviate the issues that had arisen and decided to move into the home care sector.

Mettle and Bond provides a service that aims to facilitate the revitalisation of both the physical and emotional by encouraging independence and assisting the re-ablement for the successful transition to an individual's normal lifestyle. By providing care in the comfort of an individual's home, it helps to provide a calmer experience for the client. This will be coupled with a person-centred approach and strength based practice to promote the client's wellbeing. Mettle and Bond aims for their clients to soon appreciate this model and to feel that their needs are well and truly met - beyond all expectations.

Mettle and Bond is in its infancy but has unique selling points which include a Director who has worked in the care industry for one of the leading Care providers.

Mettle and Bond aims to use advanced monitoring systems that will provide security and enhance digital transformation. This will enable evidence outstanding client outcomes as well as areas that need improvement.

Mettle and Bond care will provide services such as personal care, medication administration and management, domestic tasks, continence management, assisting day to day tasks, meal preparation, assistance with shopping and making GP appointment and providing companionship.

Mettle & Bond Care Ltd are excellebt in the care and attention I receive, i.e. showering and cooking my lunch. The carers are efficient, happy and always on time.

From my initial conversation with Mettle & Bond Care, I immediately felt comfortable discussing our family's requirements with regard to putting home support in place for our mum-in-law/mum. We arranged a visit to Mum's apartment to discuss our needs, we found the director and her colleague very engaging,
particularly with our 94 years young Mum, their professionalism was unquestionable and more importantly for us the obvious dedication to their profession within the care industry along with their history of working in this industry.
Mum has taken to her support carers like a duck to water, in her words: "Friendly, adaptable, efficient and business-like ".
I feel fortunate that we found Mettle & Bond. A happy Mum is a happy family!

Wendy Chanda

Job Title: Founder /Director Joined: 2016

Wendy is a mother of two children and the Founder/Director of Mettle and Bond Care.


Wendy's dream was to provide respite, wellness and aromatherapy services to the community via a facility which was a ''Home away from home''. This facility would alleviate some of the pressure that the NHS is experiencing in recent times - delayed discharges/transfers; better known as bed blocking. With this vision and concept, Mettle and Bond Care were born to provide a broader range of services to the community.


Wendy has a BA ( Hons) Degree - 1st class, majoring in Business Management and Finance from the University of Sussex. Wendy is also part-qualified in CIMA and has 5 years of proven and relevant experience in the Health and Social care industry having worked as a Care Manager for one of the leading Care Providers - Anchor Trust. Until recently, Wendy has worked in Charitable organisations such as the Royal Geographical Society as a Finance Manager; gaining her extra and vital skills from both Sectors (Care and Finance).


Wendy's passion is to promote an individual's well-being through a person-centred approach. She believes that this can be done by treating the client with dignity and respect, protecting the client from abuse and building family /personal relationships. In addition to this, she believes in offering choice, providing the opportunity for the client to participate in activities and considering the client's mental, emotional and physical health.
