Our personal care services costs are determined by the Client's specific needs and the number of hours of care to be provided.

To offer safe and effective care, we suggest a minimum of one hour for every care visit, however, we do offer a 20-minute medication call, 30 minutes, 45 minutes and 60-minute call times.

However, before presenting an estimated cost of treatment, we may talk about how frequently you'd want these visits.

We understand that one of the most significant concerns surrounding care is cost, so we've made our service both stress-free and cost-effective. Our fees are simple to comprehend and manage, and you will always be in complete command of your finances. Our visits last one hour and are frequently longer. This allows for ample time for quality care while yet allowing time for conversation and the development of a genuine relationship.

We can provide 20-minute medication visits as well as 30-minute, 45-minute, and 60-minute home visits.

We can also provide a sitting service, waking nights, and live-in care services for up to 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

My family member has been very well supported by Living at Home. They provide her with person centred care by way of 2 social calls a week. They will also support with shopping. They have worked hard to get the right carer to meet her needs which has been great. Office staff are also friendly and efficient.

Always very helpful and ready to do anything for them.
Usually on time but explain why they are late and make up the time if so.

The carers don't just wash them but help with washing and various cleaning jobs, changing the bedding and even sewing on buttons.

Over the last two years, we have found the staff and carers of Living at Home to be very professional and friendly. The carer that Jo chose for my mother after her initial visit has particularly been fab, she goes above and beyond, and they have become friends. My mother has Alzheimers and during her visit they do art, a bit of singing, play games and generally have a good laugh. At first, I was very anxious about leaving my mother with anyone so that I could have a break, but it has turned out to be a positive experience both for her and for me. My mother enjoys the visits and gets some extra stimulus. If there is anything you want to discuss, the girls at the office are always ready to help. Living at Home were recommended to us by a neighbour who was pleased with the service and I would highly recommend them to anyone thinking about getting a carer.

My dad has had fantastic care from Living at Home, it is the highlight of his week when he goes out for a walk and a coffee for 2 hours. My dad has Alzheimer's and they are so excellent with him. He takes pictures every time he is out and spends hours looking at the pictures afterwards. It is such an amazing service and really life changing for my dad and my mum to be able to have two hours for herself knowing my dad is so happy and so well cared for. I can not speak highly enough of the staff at Living at Home. They have been fantastic and come out to the house to help my dad with his memory by playing memory games. My dad is very happy now and the time out with Living at Home staff have really made his life so much more happy and positive and it really had been life changing for our whole family. Living at home really are an truly fantastic professional and caring company.

We have used Living at Home for our mum since August 2024 so this review is based on our whole experience. There is simply one word that describes all the carers that come to see Mum and provide companionship for her at times we are unable to. That one word is AMAZING!! All the carers take interest in Mum and spend the time with her chatting so that she can remember periods of her life fondly. We were so lucky to have found this service with Living at Home it was exactly what we want for Mum. Thank you all for everything you do.

Living at Home have provided support for my parents for almost two years and specifically to my mother who has vascular dementia.

From inception, they have provided us all with a caring and professional service. The management team are excellent, always providing efficient and attentive communication. Their online portal is also an invaluable tool and intuitive to navigate. Most importantly, the carers who attend to my mother are reliable, kind and provide a respite for my father. They treat my mother with respect and provide the care that she requires. Thanks to all the team.

I cannot say enough about how Well Living at Home looked after my late 92 yr old father -in -law They stepped in to help us after he returned home after a hospital stay. He needed help at home desperately and as we were both working we were extremely worried and stressed about how he would be able to remain independent and live on his own in his home going forward. After a home assessment carers started calling within a few days which was a huge relief to us knowing that someone was calling every other day seeing to his needs as well as providing some social interaction with people other than myself and my husband as he was then housebound. I would highly recommend the company to anyone looking for home care for any loved ones.

My family needed immediate help and support when my 94-year-old father was discharged from hospital without a care plan in place. I called Living at Home and spoke to a particular member of staff, who was professional, sympathetic, and extremely helpful. Within an hour of my dad arriving home from hospital, this staff member came to our house and conducted an assessment. She was wonderful with my dad, she treated him with the utmost respect and dignity. A daily care plan was put into place starting the following morning. The carers who attended my dad were fantastic, they were highly skilled, professional and even took time to ensure that as a family we were managing. I highly recommend Living at Home, the service we had was outstanding.

Has been caring for over two years for my mother who has Alzheimer's Dementia and diagnosed at quite a young age. We as a family would find it very difficult to run Mum's life without her. She is a wonderful honest transparent communicator which creates security and reassurance for my mum. She is a carer who has very high emotional intelligence, anticipating emotional and physical needs that may arise and keeping calm at all times.
She is not only highly attentive but always goes the extra mile to make my mother safe and comfortable. Her personality and sense of light humour make every day lighter and less stressful for my mother and the family.

We cannot recommend the director and the whole team highly enough. Nothing was ever too much trouble and communications were above and beyond. We used Living at Home for 14 months with numerous changes to the care package, they obliged willingly at every request. They were professional, punctual and so very, very kind, sensitive and caring. They supported our family as well as my mother-in-law for which we are extremely grateful. Having peace of mind that she was getting the best care whilst being able to stay at home was invaluable. The app was invaluable to know how each care visit had gone as we don’t live locally, it flagged up any presenting issues as soon as they arose. The director or another member of staff were always on hand to work with us to offer solutions to real time situations which was again above and beyond. The care home placement was only possible through with their help and wonderful care. We would recommend them to anyone with a relative in need of care/companionship at home.

Joanne Abraham Job Title: Business Owner / Responsible Individual Joined: 2021
Joanne Abraham

Joanne, or Jo as she is also known to many, entered the care sector after caring for her mum, who sadly died in 2016.

For years leading up to Joanne’s mums’ passing, she worked with healthcare professionals trying to make effective changes to allow her mum to live the best quality of life possible with her medical conditions.

During the many years she helped her mother, many problems arose because her mother didn't get enough good care and support.

What this period taught Joanne was how difficult it was to find relevant information and support from the many different professional organisations operating in Swansea and the wider areas.

From that point, Joanne would do whatever she could to help and support any vulnerable person in a similar position to find the help and support they deserved to receive.

Joanne has a natural passion for caring for and helping others and strives to make vulnerable adults live the best possible life they can live in somewhat difficult circumstances.

During her time working on the front-line in the health sector, Joanne found her niche.

Joanne is a natural listener, and this has allowed her to build a strong rapport with staff, health professionals, clients, and family members.

Joanne is a natural problem solver and leader who would aim to resolve any issues that would arise immediately, sometimes meaning she would be once again on the front line, sitting for hours with a client who may have fallen whilst they waited for an ambulance together, chatting and listening to a client’s family on the occasion of bereavement or just rolling her sleeves up to assist one of her team - for Joanne, going the extra mile is just who she is.

At the beginning of 2021, another tragedy struck Joanne sadly, as she lost her brother, who struggled with mental health difficulties. Having experienced the loss of two close family members, Joanne decided to open her own care company to be in a position to better support the most vulnerable in society.

Joanne supports many charities like MIND, Alzheimer’s Society, Diabetes, and Cancer Research UK, to name but a few.

Joanne recently signed up to complete the "Step up for Dementia", doing 850,000 steps in 3 months. Alongside that, Joanne is a Dementia Ambassador for the Alzheimer's Society and often goes into the community to give talks to dispel some of the common myths about dementia.

A passion of Joanne’s is to meet with her clients and their families as often as possible. The Living at Home ethos is that we are all one big family and close communication is her top priority.

Joanne says,

At Living at Home, we believe that the quality and consistency of our care, as well as the relationships we build with our clients, are important parts of our work.

We give care and support based on our clients' preferences, so they choose the timing and agree on every detail of their care plan before we start.

What is hugely important to me is consistency, and we use the same care professionals every time with the same clients, and we introduce them to our clients upfront to make sure they are comfortable with them.

Living at Home believes that excellent care shouldn’t be delivered in short visits, so we always look to deliver 60-minute appointments, but we do recognise that not all people require 60 minutes, and so we develop a plan that suits all.

I believe this ethos allows us to provide compassionate care and go above and beyond to improve our clients' quality of life.

I am excited to see Living at Home evolve, and I want to make a difference in people’s lives every single day, not only for our clients, their families but also our amazing care professionals who are now also known as Key Workers.

Rachel Court – Why I want to support our amazing Swansea communities

Rachel has been working in the social care sector for eight years while raising her two young children. She explains why she wants to support her Swansea communities.

As a young mother looking to provide for her family, Rachel began working part-time in the care sector. Despite having no prior experience and some initial uncertainty about care work, she soon fell in love with her job as a support worker.

It was clear to her before long that this was her true calling in life, giving her the assurance she needed to resign from her main job and become a full-time support worker.

A motivating reason for Rachel was the role she could play in serving her community, which she identified as being in need of better quality care.

It’s critical we make a difference

From the very beginning of her career, Rachel has been steadfast in her commitment to providing high-quality, person-centred care services to each and every one of her clients.

Motivated by her dedication to social care, she has acquired extensive knowledge of the care sector and its regulations, allowing her to make a positive difference in people’s lives.

With her education, experience, and knowledge, Rachel manages Living at Home’s care service and helps her team of care professionals go above and beyond for the clients they support every day, having a positive role in their lives as if they are family.

Rachel is a calm, sympathetic, polite, approachable, and professional member of the Living at Home team. Every aspect of Rachel’s personality leaves her clients impressed.

So, what does Rachel do in her spare time?

When Rachel is not working tirelessly for her team and clients, she can be found relaxing with family and friends, while sipping on a cappuccino, her favourite hot beverage.

Rachel is just as dedicated to her family as she is to Living at Home.

She loves to travel and has a particular fondness for the Andalucía region in Spain.

Rachel’s little-known fact is that she appeared in a music video for the hugely successful pop punk band Busted in the early 2000s and can play the kazoo!

Living at Home is fortunate to have such a dedicated, passionate, and hardworking individual on their hands who takes the initiative and doesn’t ask anyone to do anything she wouldn’t do herself.
