Overall Experience

Enable Carers Ltd has been a huge help in assisting with caring for my Mum who has dementia. I have peace of mind knowing she is being cared for by someone who has an understanding of her needs. Her condition is changing and the carer is mindful of this, offering advice and guidance to me, which I appreciate as I am new to caring for someone with dementia. Enable Carers Ltd has been a great help, and both punctual and flexible. Their help has been invaluable.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking, working out, and spending days out with my family. As a mother of three, caring has always been central to both my personal life and my career.

My journey in care began at 18, working in a nursing home supporting people with mental health needs. In 2013, I qualified as a health visitor and have spent the past decade balancing this rewarding role with raising my family.

Earlier in my nursing career, I gained experience across neurorehabilitation, orthopaedics, and elderly care, which gave me a broad foundation for the work I do today.

After only 12 months as a staff nurse, I was promoted to ward sister thanks to my passion for care and commitment to high standards. That role reinforced the importance of consistency, accountability, and compassion — values I carry into every aspect of care today, ensuring families can trust their loved ones will be treated with dignity and professionalism.

Opening a business with my mom has allowed me to return to my passion for elderly care.

We are committed to delivering care the way it should be — not rushed or reduced to tick boxes, but centred on dignity, independence, and individual needs.

Starting this family, the run service has been incredibly rewarding, and we look forward to continuing to grow while making a positive difference in the way care is delivered!

With over 25 years of experience in care, I am dedicated to providing high-quality support to those who need it most.

I’ve gained the experience and skills to confidently train new carers, even those starting with no prior experience.

Over the years, I’ve become a strong communicator and built lasting connections with both colleagues and the people I’ve cared for. My personable nature is one of the most valuable qualities I bring to the role, alongside my commitment to delivering care that is person-centred, high-quality, and never rushed.

Outside of work, I’m a proud mother and nan. Any spare time is happily spent with my three grandchildren and family — whether that’s cooking their favourite meals or enjoying films together.
