Very satisfactory - but the arrival times are understandably not very reliable. All the carers are kind, empathetic people and I appreciate it when they often ask if they can do anything extra for me personally. A very professional service and all carers seem very well trained.
Kind regards,
Magenta
Wonderful, compassionate carers under very difficult circumstances. Treated with dignity and respect. Thank you for all the care and support you have given to my sister, enabling her to feel comfortable in a very distressing situation.

I've used this service since Jan this year. In this short time, I've been happy with new staff and the nurses responsible for training are exceptional. Office staff are friendly and approachable. Staff are always dressed smart and keen to learn new skills to fulfill my son's complex care needs.
Kind regards
Vickie

In their care I have felt safe and relaxed, I do not see them as carers but as friends. They have an instinctive feel for what my care requirements are. They are very encouraging which has helped me through difficult times. An example of this is encouraging me to try standing when I am reluctant to do so. I always look forward to my carers' arrival. They are an excellent team.
Thank you for your lovely response. Kind regards, Vickie.
Alcedo looked after my husband during the last months of his life. They provided excellent care and companionship to him and great support to me. I would have no hesitation in recommending Alcedo Care.
Thank you for your response. Kind regards.
Very kind carers - can't speak highly enough of them. They are lovely with my husband and understanding of his needs. We cannot fault the carers or the company.
Kind Regards.

Meet the Team (3)
Hi,
My name is Rachel and I am the Care Manager for Alcedo Care South Lakes.
My name is Maureen and I’m a Care Coordinator at Alcedo Care South Lakes. My role involves allocating our care workers to our clients, working with our staff’s availability, level of experience and specialist skills, and aligning them to our clients’ needs.
I have worked in the care sector for over 20 years, only recently returning to it after a break. I have mainly worked in mental health, working in care homes as a Senior Carer and have now moved over to Home Care as a new challenge.
I have a very keen interest in photography, and in my time off, I am out with my camera, trying to capture the perfect shots. Nature is what I enjoy the most. I also enjoy horse riding and had a horse until two years ago.
I am an Administrator for a charity called Zoe’s Journey, which raises money for research into curing cancer in dogs. The charity was set up by the owner of a dog called Zoe, who beat cancer and eventually passed away from old age. The charity is in her memory.
My name is Tammi and I’m the Care Assessor at Alcedo Care South Lakes. As a Care Assessor, my role is to prepare and adapt person-centred care plans for our clients and their families. These might be produced with the client alone, but sometimes might also involve other healthcare professionals. It is my responsibility to ensure our clients have the maximum amount of input possible into the care plan, and that it takes into account not only their personal and medical information, but also their likes, dislikes, and what we can do to enrich their lives and support independence.
