My name is Maureen and I’m a Care Coordinator at Alcedo Care South Lakes. My role involves allocating our care workers to our clients, working with our staff’s availability, level of experience and specialist skills, and aligning them to our clients’ needs.

I have worked in the care sector for over 20 years, only recently returning to it after a break. I have mainly worked in mental health, working in care homes as a Senior Carer and have now moved over to Home Care as a new challenge.

I have a very keen interest in photography, and in my time off, I am out with my camera, trying to capture the perfect shots. Nature is what I enjoy the most. I also enjoy horse riding and had a horse until two years ago.

I am an Administrator for a charity called Zoe’s Journey, which raises money for research into curing cancer in dogs. The charity was set up by the owner of a dog called Zoe, who beat cancer and eventually passed away from old age. The charity is in her memory. Read less
