GoodOaks Homecare - Edgware and Finchley

The team have provided excellent care for both my parents for several years. And as the complexity of their needs has increased, the team has responded so well. It's not always easy, but the care team leadership makes great suggestions and is very responsive. The carers are excellent and keep me well informed with what's going on and when things need my attention. I do recommend highly.

I'm so pleased that Goodoaks are caring for my Dad. He feels safer knowing the Carers are there and enjoys their company. We take comfort in knowing that he is being well cared for. Challenges arise from time to time, but the Team leader is excellent at problem solving. They support their staff well and keep me informed. I know that I can contact them at any time. Also, carers have risen to every challenge, often with little or no notice.

The office team are also truly awesome. The GoodOaks Finchley / Edgware team are highly collaborative with regular progress meetings and ongoing dialogue. I could not be more grateful for the work that they do. Highly recommended.

Following a recommendation from a family friend, not only did they always arrive punctually and fulfil their official role, but showed great flexibility as our needs increased over time. Their carers never clock watched; provided company as well and care during their visits and became genuine family friends that we could not have done without.

We slowly progressed from a quick, once daily morning visit, through to two and then three longer visits per day as my mothers needs progressed, to finally visiting her regularly in hospital throughout a prolonged final stay when trustworthy; friendly faces were highly valued.

The carers for my father came on time all the time. There was a day that the carer was late, after contacting the agency they called back quickly with sincere apology and we had a the carer arriving in 10minutes. They have shown responsiveness many atimes follows efficiently in problemsolving, their language is of empathy. The carers treated my father with dignity and respect, answering my father's questions without judgement and ensuring his needs were met. They sometimes went over and beyond with time 10mins over and always asked whether all was well before leaving. Putting down next times in BOLD writing for my dad nit to get anxious. Very pleased with their care and total support. I can highly recommend this agency.

The team at GoodOaks Homecare - Edgware and Finchley, who were involved in caring for my aunt during the final year of her life, did an absolutely amazing job (despite my aunt, at times, being rather challenging). They went above-and-beyond, treated her with friendship, kindness, respect and dignity, and helped her fulfill her wish of remaining at home to the end. I honestly do not know how we would have coped (as her only relatives, living 200 miles away) without them, and I am certain that my aunt could not have had a better team of people looking after her.

My three daughters and I used this service when my husband was dying. From the moment we had this support, it was as if a weight had been lifted. The care team dealt with us in every way. Giving immense support and sympathetic treatment to my husband.

I am very grateful for the amazing care and support my father received from GoodOaks Home Care. It was incredibly reassuring to know he was looked after by such kind and compassionate carers who genuinely cared about his well-being. One of the standout aspects of this service was the personal involvement of the director, who checked in with both me and my father at least every two weeks to ensure everything was going well. It was comforting to know that, in the event of a cancellation, the director stepped in personally to fill in the gap of need. We had moved from a different provider and we couldn't have been happier with our choice to have GoodOaks looking after our dad. Knowing he was in such capable and competent hands truly brought peace of mind to the whole of our family. The care workers had a difficult start with my friend, who was really against having a care team in place. However, the care and patience that they have shown have won her over completely and she looks forward to seeing the team each day. The team are all so respectful of her wishes and the management of the complicated drug regime along with her personal care has given us such peace of mind. The manager is very hands-on and makes sure that the family are well informed and that the standard of care from her staff is maintained to the highest standard. I was recommended to this agency by a very discerning friend. My experience with them has been exemplary.

An excellent personal service. Kindly and efficient. It was reassuring to know that the carers had the knowledge and skills needed and that they were reliable. My mother was very content to be looked after in this way. The carers demonstrated consistent attentiveness and patience, as my mother’s needs changed. Nothing was too much trouble. I was kept informed of important developments and think the approach we experienced was professional at all times.
