I came to Home Instead (Monmouthshire), absolutely frazzled and worn out in trying to do my best for my mother who has dementia and a desire to remain in their own home. I felt as though I needed to be an expert in everything to try and get the right equipment and care. From my first call to the office
and then with the care manager, I have felt listened to and supported. The team are knowledgeable, proactive and compassionate and have done more in a very short timescale that I could have hoped for. In seeking to help my mother, they have also helped me. My mother is responding to their kindness which is so lovely to see. I recommend the Monmouthshire team wholeheartedly.

Carers were always friendly and polite and very helpful. They seemed to find the right balance when helping someone who didn't really want to be helped ( although after a fall the help was clearly required). Very punctual and security conscious. On the night of my Aunts big fall the carer was extremely
effective at calling for an ambulance and staying until we arrived. First class !!
Although there were some frequent carers, my Aunt found it difficult to relate to the actual number of different carers.She mixed up names etc

We are very pleased with the friendly efficiency of the carers provided by Home Instead.
The agency have certainly lived up to their name by providing care to my relative which has avoided permanent admission to residential care.
The carers are kind and attentive and proactive in dealing with any
issues they identify.
There are regular reviews and the client is listened to.

As a new client of the Abergavenny Home Instead team, I've been super impressed both with the professionalism and availability of staff within the office and especially with the; skills, helpfulness and compassion shown by each of the Carers. The daily visits to support my father are reliable, always
on time and it's a great relief to know that the Carers really understand how to provide an excellent personalised service, are empathetic to the needs of the families they visit and flexible in the help that they provide. I can't speak highly enough of the care and compassion shown by the team at Home Instead Monmouthshire. From day one, they treated my nan with dignity, respect, and genuine warmth. The carers are professional, reliable, and they always go the extra mile to build a real connection and make each visit
meaningful.
Communication with the office has always been easy, and they've shown real flexibility in meeting my nan's changing needs. It's incredibly reassuring to know that someone you care about is in such capable and caring hands.

My wife's carers are wonderful. They are respectful, punctual, cheerful and positive. They bathe and chat to her every day and she is responding very well to the extra attention. They are easy to get on with and help each other arrange suitable visit times which we request and complete tasks - also
covering each others' leave days. It has made the experience of bring someone into the home so much easier. We can get on with being a family instead of worrying about personal care.

From our very first contact with Home Instead, their professionalism and compassion were evident. They promptly set up support for my mother and have provided ongoing care that has been exceptional. They carefully matched my mother's needs and personality with care professionals who consistently go

The service has far exceeded my expectations. As a busy working mum, I often felt overwhelmed, but knowing my mother is in such capable and caring hands has brought me peace of mind and changed my life. I like the punctuality of the carers. The carers treat me with dignity. The carers are always pleasant, patient and take care of me. The quality and conduct of the carers is the best part of the operation. I don’t like when carers out of the team arrive, that are not from the Pontypool office.

Compassionate, patient and very kind care staff. They go the extra mile to provide thorough and extremely high levels of care. Excellent communication, and person-centred, interaction. The extra jobs done around my grandparent’s home such as cleaning, washing and ironing etc are also much appreciated.

Great care is provided which gives me enormous peace of mind knowing my aunt is being seen daily. She is a somewhat reluctant client but the carers understand that this is a big adjustment for her.

I am so grateful to have found Home Instead. My mother has two visits a week which she enjoys enormously. The support they offer her is absolutely wonderful, making it possible for her to stay at home. They help her with cleaning, keep an eye on the post, help her remember appointments and many other
things which essentially stop her from endless worrying. She particularly enjoys the companionship, cups of coffee and chats. The office and the carers together do a wonderful job at keeping me posted as to how everything is going and if they have any concerns they let me know immediately. They are friendly, professional and immensely reassuring to me and my siblings. I honestly cannot recommend them highly enough!
