Lorna has many years of experience in the elderly home care sector and leads a committed and highly skilled team of professionals who are all dedicated to helping you stay safely in your own home.
Lorna joined Carefound Home Care in 2013 and achieved her Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management in 2014.
I joined Carefound Home Care in August 2024, marking my first experience in a domiciliary setting, after having worked in various healthcare environments. My role as a Community and Recruitment Manager allows me to interact with staff, clients, and local communities, ensuring there is never a dull day.
I am committed to working as part of a broader team to deliver outstanding care while also ensuring that we have the most effective care team in place. Our recruitment process is both supportive and thorough, and I felt welcomed to be part of an exceptional team when I joined Carefound.
In my spare time, I am a wife, daughter, and mother, so family time is important to me. We also have several pets, including dogs, a cat, a horse, and two fish tanks, which keeps our evenings and weekends quite busy.
I joined Carefound Home Care as the care manager in March 2025. I have been working in care settings since 2010. I began my care career as a carer and gained my level 2 and level 3 qualifications in health and social care along the way, and have progressed from a carer to a senior carer, supervisor and care coordinator over the years.
I am keen to gain my level 5 qualification in leadership and management in the near future. I really enjoy my role as the care manager, as every day is different and I love the variety of this role, whether I am in the office or out in the community visiting staff and clients.
In my spare time, I enjoy exploring the outdoors with my family and friends, including my very energetic dog, Storm.
