Carefound Home Care in York provides highly personalised home care to older people in the York area including Acomb, Askham Bryan, Askham Richard, Bishopthorpe, Clifton, Copmanthorpe, Fulford, Heworth, Haxby, Huntington, Linton-on-Ouse, Naburn, Newton-on-Ouse, Poppleton, Skelton, Stockton on the Forest, Strensall, Wigginton and York City Centre. They also provide live-in care across Yorkshire.

Their home care services are available as hourly home care or live-in care and can include anything from basic domestic support, companionship, personal care, medication help, through to support with complex health conditions such as dementia.

The company employs a team of professional, experienced carers who are required to pass a stringent recruitment and selection process, including Enhanced DBS checks and reference checks.

All staff undertake an induction programme on employment ensuring that, regardless of previous employment experience, they are trained in care provision, including specialist training in dementia care and Parkinson's care in collaboration with the Contented Dementia Trust and Parkinson’s UK.

My husband (who has Dementia) had a full time carer for the six days I had away with part of my family. Although we had not met the carer before I was happy to leave knowing he would be happy to be looked after by the person he had just met.
The week went quickly and on return I found a spotless home
and happy husband. He told me he had had a good week and he was well cared for including a lot of personal care. Although he could not remember the meals he had I would have known if he had not been happy with them.
All in all the care provided was as I would hope and expect and the service from start to finish was first rate.

We used CareFound for 6 months to support my elderly Mum who has dementia. We needed the help suddenly and everything was set up really well and smoothly despite the rush our end to get things in place. All the carers were very kind and professional and helped meet Mum's needs. They created a very clear
care plan for Mum, but were very willing to be flexible when she needed something different. The clear rota and the app gave me peace of mind and the carers made me feel connected to Mum's care - at times when Mum was really poorly they offered me support and understanding as well. We only stopped using Carefound due to a deterioration in Mum's condition which meant different care was needed - otherwise we have been very happy with the service. We were often touched by special things the carers did like birthday cards and flowers where they really went above and beyond. Thanks so much to everyone at CareFound! I will miss you!

A very good standard of reliable care that has allowed Dad to return home after a lengthy stay in hospital and make a quick return to his standard of living. He likes to come and go and has been on many different excursions with his carer in the local area.

Dad had a fall and the carer responded with empathy, professionalism & speed. He is constantly assessed & reviewed by the team. Communication is excellent with the carers, managers & family about dads care in general. I would highly recommend Carefound to other families. I know that my dad is in good

In the short time my mum has had the carers, we have noticed that she seems happier in herself. The carer is well matched. The home is lovely clean and tidy. Communication is excellent. Also it is fantastic that the carer can take my mum out. Overall my mum's mental well being has improved.

Needed some care and help urgently and this was done for us so my parents weren’t left without care. They were very accommodating and such lovely, friendly people. My mum loved them straight away which was a comfort to us all. Mum is very happy with her carer and it’s good to know that she’s kept to
a high standard of cleanliness. They also use their own initiative and do other things without being asked. It’s a great help to not just my mum but dad too, as he gets a chance to have a break. I highly recommend this company and it’s such peace of mind for us all. Thank you all and keep up the great work.

We initially made enquiries with Carefound Home Care for my father and I have to say that the professionalism of the staff was outstanding from the start. The process they go through and the carers they provide are extremely friendly and helpful and very caring. A couple of things that have really impressed
me are that they use the same team of carers all the time, so they build a relationship with my father, and the systems they use allow me to have access to a dashboard where I can see comments left and can leave comments myself.
I am thoroughly impressed with the company and wouldn't hesitate in recommending them.
