Two particular members of staff and the entire Compassion First team have been excellent. Over a near year-long period they have provided excellent care to my elderly mother who, whilst suffering with dementia, was determined to live independently for as long as possible. They made all of this possible.
From our first meetings, the managing director was very clear about the care packages that Compassion First could provide. We found the team to be available for advice whenever needed, flexible, and reactive to changing situations. It was tremendously reassuring to have them involved; they provided great peace of mind as well as excellent levels of care.

Many thanks to the team; Compassion First comes highly recommended.

The managing director at Compassion First was excellent from beginning to end. He provided us with the most brilliant of carers. They were all excellent however, the carer who became my mum's main carer was incredible. All the nurses who visited her were constantly impressed by her ability to keep mum's bed sores at bay! As a family, we can’t praise the service enough. I highly recommend this organisation, professional, caring and human.

The manager and her team have been absolutely brilliant with the care they have provided for my mother who has dementia and other complex care needs. The team have been so caring with my mom and even ask me to check back in with her to ensure I have been successful making medical referrals which they are unable to do without my consent.
My mother recently became very ill and has been admitted to hospital. The team have been to visit my mother in hospital and have kept in constant contact with me and my sister which is above and beyond any expectation I would expect.
I am hoping my mother can return home in the near future but this is only because I can rely and trust the care that FCN will provide.
100% positive review and we couldn’t ask for more.

Thank you to the team, you are all fantastic help.

In February 2023 my 91-year-old father suffered Pneumonia. The paramedics hospitalised him. I managed to discharge him from the hospital eight days later. On return home, he was in a woeful state and was in need of professional help. I quickly discovered that 'when you need carers, you really need carers!'.

Thankfully, FCN Homecare had recently opened an office in the Stratford-upon-Avon area.

An immediate solution was put together. The entire team is professional; the attendance is punctual, and tailored to the client. We could not ask for more. They have helped my father back from near fatality. He is becoming stronger and stronger because of their care. We could not recommend them more.

I am very pleased with both carers who are coming to me thanks to their reliability in attending to my personal care. They are kind and considerate at all times. Also, they are consistently punctual and the fact that they help in the kitchen (unloading and stacking the dishwasher) is much appreciated. They are very interested in my recovery and are willing to work with physiotherapy in bringing this about. I can recommend them strongly.

FCN Homecare have been looking after my nan since January. I have to say, I am very happy with the care and service my nan has received over this time. The staff have been very reliable and have treated my nan with such respect and dignity. I have seen such a change in her appearance and she seems so much more happy. I would highly recommend this company.

I contacted FCN Homecare to inquire if they could collect my medication urgently from the pharmacy, since I was unable to drive following a recent eye procedure. The branch manager from the Bromsgrove branch kindly offered his support and collected the medication on my behalf. This gesture was made without any charge and as a result, I have decided to utilize their services to support my husband.
I have been thoroughly impressed with their service. The continuity of care has been excellent, with the carer consistently arriving on time and providing support for my husband. On one occasion, I required transportation to Worcester for an eye appointment. The carer not only drove me to the eye clinic, but also spent two hours with my husband in the town center, having a drive around the town, a walk and even enjoying a coffee together.

This assistance has been incredibly beneficial for both myself and my husband and we intend to continue using their services.

I have worked in the care sector for over 13 years, supporting both children and adults with a wide range of needs, including learning disabilities, physical disabilities, and complex support requirements. My career began in frontline roles as a support worker and care assistant, which not only developed my passion for supporting others in the community but also gave me a strong understanding of the genuine difference that high-quality, compassionate care can make to a customer’s everyday life, as well as the positive impact a supportive and valued working environment has on care staff.

Over the years, I progressed into leadership and management positions, including Team Leader, Registered Manager, and eventually Head of Domiciliary Care. These experiences provided me with valuable insight into delivering safe, person-centred care while building and supporting strong care teams.

After many years in the sector, I recognised the growing need for a genuinely local home care provider that combines professionalism with authenticity, compassion, and a true passion for making a difference in people’s lives. This inspired me to establish Compassion First Home Care — a service built on the belief that every individual deserves care delivered with dignity, kindness, and respect.

I have always worked in people-focused roles, including as a PE teacher, sports coach, and in retail, all of which I have found rewarding due to the focus on supporting and engaging with others.

My most extensive experience is within health and social care, where I worked as a Support Worker for 14 years, developing strong skills in person-centred care, communication, and supporting individuals with a range of needs.

It was in 2025 that I joined Compassion First Home Care as a Carer. Since then, I have progressed within the organisation, first becoming a Field Care Supervisor and currently working as a Care Co-ordinator. In these roles, I have taken on increased responsibility for coordinating care, supporting staff, and ensuring high standards of care delivery.

Alongside my role, I am completing a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care to further strengthen my knowledge and professional development within the sector. I also deliver in-house Manual Handling Training to care staff, supporting safe working practices across the team.

I joined Compassion First Homecare in August 2024, initially working directly with clients before progressing to the role of Field Care Supervisor. My background as a teacher provided me with many transferable skills that are invaluable in the care sector, including supporting vulnerable individuals, building trusting relationships, and empowering people to achieve the best possible quality of life.

I am passionate about continuous learning and professional development, and I am currently studying towards an NVQ in Adult Social Care to further enhance my knowledge and practice. In my supervisory role, I enjoy supporting both clients and colleagues by sharing best practices, providing guidance, and helping to maintain the highest standards of care.

What I value most about my work is contributing to a compassionate, person-centred approach that places each individual’s needs, preferences, and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do. I am proud to be part of a team that is committed to continuously developing and improving the quality of care we provide.
