I cannot recommend Silver Assist Wales highly enough.

I have nothing but praise for Silver Assist. Feedback is excellent, timely and regular. They, with permission arrange doctors appointments and chase up. They offer guidance and help to arrange other health care professionals. As someone who is trying to care for an elderly parent from a distance their service is invaluable. The carers are kind and patient with mum and work at creating trust at mums pace.

I visit my mum every month for 4 or 5 days.

Prior to Sept 2025, I used to dread visiting, because mum would spend most of the time complaining about her carers and I would find it difficult to get her out of that negative mindset.

All she talks about is her wonderful carers.

I have had the great pleasure of meeting all of mums carers (the main ones, Steph, Ellie and Hannah).

You have trained your carers to a very high standard and I am so pleased mum is now cared for properly.

Steph, Ellie and Hannah do an amazing job, with love, care, compassion, a wonderful sense of humour, they leave their personal worries etc at the door and put their full focus on mum.

I have found the level of care for my wife invaluable. The service is of a high standard and the carers are excellent, they have made life much easier for me. I now have a bit of time to do some of the jobs that were previously put on hold.

My aunt is really pleased with the care she receives and she is very happy that she sees the same carer every week. Having a carer has significantly improved our aunt's quality of life and is really reassuring for us (her nieces and nephew).

Contact with and service from Silver Assist has been first class. The organisation responds to requests in a very friendly manner, and the two carers who have been here are very well prepared, and seem to ensure that they ask me about anything they need to know. One of them comes prepared with materials for 'craft' activities they can undertake with the service user.

Assistance with medication on a daily basis is also very reassuring.

Silver Assist have made such a huge difference to my Mum. They are so caring and professional and always have Mums needs at heart. Mum looks forward to them coming in every day with their smiley faces and caring nature. We as a family would highly recommended them to anyone who is considering using them, you will not be disappointed!

Having Silver Assist for my husband has given me peace of mind for the hours that he has constant companionship. We both look forward to the visit, and appreciate all that they do. I came out of hospital unable to cope with my personal and most household issues. I have three care sessions per week and it is a game changer for me. I am always clean and tidy and well-dressed. The carer helps with a bit of food preparation and makes my bed and would do anything that I need help with. This service is the best thing to happen in our area.

Always pleasant, friednly and efficient. Without breaching the bonds of mutual respect. The management has an almost magical ability to sum up professional medical support, home visits from doctors and recently a thorough 50-minute examination and consultation with a helpful doctor in the surgery, unheard of in my experience. I am very grateful and impressed.

The staff are friendly and helpful and very well led by the manager who is happy to take the initiative with recommendations as to likely future needs.

Silver Assist also provided exemplary care for my elderly father for several months in 2023 - this was a very different type of care as my father had limited mobility and many health issues as well as dementia - Silver Assist carers helped him with getting up and dressed, washing and showering as well as an evening bedtime visit.

Whilst we have only been using Silver Assist for a couple of months, to care at weekends for my mum (100 ) and my Dad ( 96) we have been exceptionally impressed by their professionalism. We already had a weekly carer for mum and dad but I was anxious to ensure cover for the weekends. The advice we received from the manager and her team was excellant and I was impressed by the smoothness of the administration and the friendly support we received when setting things up including visits which involved mum and dad to assess their needs and preferences. The carer is experienced and has settled down quickly and mum and dad have really taken to him and seem at ease. The response times to queries has been first rate, on what we have experienced so far I would recommend them as first rate care providers who go the extra mile to support their clients and their families.
