Kendall Care

I want to leave a formal compliment to the Kendall Care manager who did all she could and moved as many mountains as she could to assist my wife during her brief illness before she went to eternal rest on the 6th of May. She was in constant contact with myself, the carers she assigned to assist my wife, doctors, the hospital, etc. She checked in daily to ensure my wife got all the help Kendall Care could provide. Also, I wanted to note a carer who I was surprised to find was in training, who functioned like a seasoned professional. Her patience, thoroughness, attention to detail and 'no request is too much' attitude really touched me but more importantly my wife who was dealing with intense pain and reconciling her own mortality. Please ensure to thank the manager and all the carers as they do a great job in many times impossible circumstances.

Kendall Care was recommended to us by the manager of the retirement apartment where my mum was living and we are so grateful for this. They provided good and consistent care and companionship. At short notice, they were able to send someone to work as a live-in carer for my mum for over a month whilst we arranged her move to a care home. The carer was personable and seemed to genuinely care for our Mum, which was a huge relief.

It has taken me some time to write this review as the manager and her team looked after my grandmother in the summer of last year for some weeks leading up to end-of-life care. They enabled her to die in her own home, very much her wish. They were caring, thoughtful and respectful to the very end. The manager and her team responded quickly to her almost daily changing needs. Their wonderful care allowed us to continue to keep my granny at home, knowing that she was always cared for and safe. The manager seemed to resolve every problem, whether it was staffing or the sudden need for other specialist equipment and of course being a qualified nurse she could help on medical issues as well. I cannot recommend highly enough.

I found the whole experience of having strangers in my home alien at first but the carer providers soon changed my apprehension. With the care they provided, I was able to get better and stronger and in time they became friends. With their help, I was able to introduce a drug regime that in time has become etched in my mind which is critical for the condition that I suffer from.

I would highly recommend Kendall Care. From my first point of contact onwards, I have found everyone at Kendall Care, managers and care staff alike to be very kind, thoughtful, responsive, sensitive and compassionate in their support and interactions with my father and also with myself. They provided fantastic support to us at home in the final few weeks of my dad's life and I couldn’t have asked for more. I am sure that end-of-life care is difficult to navigate with all the emotion that exists alongside the care but everyone at Kendall manages this aspect so well I couldn’t praise them any higher. I just wanted to send a message to thank you for the wonderful care my father and our family received from your wonderful staff. A special thank you to one staff member in particular, who was with us all the night my father passed, we don’t know what we’d have done without her. She acted in such a professional, caring and compassionate manner and treated my father with absolute dignity to the end, a very special person. She dealt with all the formalities and took all the pressure away, please pass on our love and thanks to her, we will be eternally grateful. Kind regards from us all.

Kind, caring, cheerful, hardworking, trustworthy, reliable, always willing to do whatever we asked of them. My dad's team of carers enabled him to stay in his own home, comfortable and dignified right to the end. We are deeply grateful to Kendall Care.

Kendal Care played a crucial role in providing support and assistance to my brother, offering a range of services, including medical, emotional and practical assistance, to ensure that my brother received the best possible care and comfort. In my experience, Kendal Care were instrumental in providing compassionate and personalised care to my brother. The caregivers employed are highly trained and skilled in managing pain and symptoms, offering emotional support and helping with daily tasks. Kendal Care often work in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors, nurses, to ensure a holistic approach to care. This interdisciplinary approach helps address the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient and their family. I have found Kendal Care to be invaluable in providing compassionate and comprehensive support to my brother during this challenging time. Their commitment to ensuring comfort, dignity, and quality of life is commendable.

My mother has had Kendall Care for a number of weeks now and is very happy with the ladies that assist her. The care they have given to my mum has given myself and Dad complete peace of mind that all Mum's care needs are met, giving us one less thing to worry about. The ladies are always happy, Mum is confident in them, which eases her mind, and all care needs are met and anything Mum asks for or needs is met and covered.

Kendall Care offered care and support when most needed for caring for my husband at home. They were friendly, punctual and worked to fulfill his needs with kindness and respect, enabling him to remain at home.

Kendal Care took over my care in the summer after my previous company said they couldn’t continue to supply me care based on the fact my care needs are for domestic help. I am a 40-year-old single mom who is also disabled. Because of my disability, I really struggle with cleaning, changing beds, doing the washing etc being that it took me to put my pride aside a few years ago and ask for help. Kendall Care is the 3rd care company who I have engaged with and they are by far the best. Not just in terms of the work they do within my home, they also treat me with dignity and don’t make me feel like because I don’t require personal care, that I am any less of a priority than clients that do. I feel safe and respected with this team. They have really given me back part of my life that I don’t think they realise how much it means to me.

They came 3 times a day during my partner's last days and were very gentle with her. Couldn't have had a more professional team, they deserve to do well. Thank you. Best regards.

I am 83 years of age and have Lymphedema in both legs (no ulcers). Extremely prompt and efficient service. Kind, gentle, vast knowledge and willingness to help. All in all, great value for money.

Cared for my mother approaching end of life and up to the end. Very professional care. Superb management. Staff were empathetic and knew their job. No problems at all. We were amazed at how flexible the provision of staff was, anything up to 24/7.

We used Kendall Care to care for my mother during the last few weeks of her life. The staff were all very competent and caring with my mother. In particular, the manager responded immediately to our constantly changing requirements (as she is a trained nurse) and dressed a wound on my mother's leg when the district nurse did not arrive. I don't think we could have obtained better or more efficient care for my mother.
