Hi, I'm Russell and I'm the Director for Horizons Homecare. I'm married and have 3 daughters, a Weimaraner (Poppy) and a squad of footballing teenagers! My experience in care starts all the way back in 1990's where I supported family members with very specific needs. I then went on to study Sports & Exercise science and Nutritional sciences before falling in love with the world of Business.
I have owned, lead and built businesses in finance, retail, service and domiciliary care - all of which have shaped my decision to join, build and lead Horizons Homecare to be the very best care company around.
In the very rare event that I cannot help you with your care needs, I can certainly help you find an alternative provider that has the same values as we do.
Hi, my name's Lisa and I am thrilled to be a part of Horizons Homecare!
I started my journey in Health & Social Care in 2016 working as a support worker for adults with learning disabilities. I quickly realised this was the area I wanted to progress in and completed my Level 5 in Leadership & Management, using my skills to adapt to home care providing care in the community.
I have been CQC registered since 2021 and love the relationships formed between clients and carers. I am passionate and thrive knowing carers are delivering the best care to people across Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre.
In my spare time, my husband and I have two amazing daughters who we love spending time with.
Hi, my name is Caroline and my role with Horizons Homecare is Staff Onboarding & Administrative Coordinator.
I started my working career as a nursery nurse after completing my NNEB at Blackpool & the Fylde college. I really enjoyed working with children and worked my way up the ladder for over 22 years and got as far as I could, as an Area Manager. As I had done the job for many years I took the plunge and decided to go back to college and complete my Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification.
Towards the end of my career in childcare both my mum and dad both got diagnosed with vascular dementia and Alzheimer’s within a week of each other and I decided to take a step back from management and went to work for a care company as this is where my heart was because I also cared for my Mum and Dad. I trained to be a medication coordinator and found this really interesting and as I love to learn it opened up a whole new world for me. Following what I loved I went down the training route to share the skills and knowledge I had learnt and share it with lots of amazing carers who do an amazing job. I am now part of the Horizons Homecare team where I think I have found my forever job, working with the most amazing families, carers, other health professionals and Directors.
Hi, my name is Daisy and I work as a Care Professional for Horizons Homecare.
I absolutely love my role doing this as everyday is an opportunity to make a genuine difference. Learning about each client, gaining their trust and being able to support them in every way is incredibly rewarding.
No two days are the same! This role is especially valuable to me, knowing that I can create a difference, bring comfort and improve someone's quality of life makes everything worth it.
