Before founding Lago Homecare I worked in accountancy and finance for 9 years, qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2019.

I developed skills and experience in that time but my real passion was in managing and leading people. I also wanted to leave work every day feeling that I was making a positive difference.

I moved into the care sector because of the influence of my grandparents on my life, and also because I believe that there is an opportunity to build a different kind of care provider - one that prioritises quality of care and their staff equally.

With over 15 years of experience in health and social care, I have dedicated my career to supporting vulnerable people across supported living, dementia services, and complex needs services. Throughout my career, I have developed extensive experience in leadership, safeguarding, workforce development, and delivering high-quality, person-centred care.

What has always driven me is the opportunity to make a genuine difference in people’s lives. I am passionate about creating safe, supportive environments where both the people we support and our staff can thrive. I believe great care starts with strong leadership, compassion, and a team that shares the same values and commitment to excellence.

My experience includes managing regulated services, leading high-performing teams, and ensuring the highest standards of care and compliance are consistently achieved. I take pride in building positive cultures that focus on dignity, independence, and meaningful outcomes for every individual we support.

Being from the local area, I understand the community and enjoy building strong relationships with the people I support. With my previous experience in both care and customer service, I have developed strong communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills. I understand the importance of listening to people’s needs, providing compassionate support, and ensuring they receive the best possible care.

Inside and outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my chihuahua, Wilf, who always keeps me company. I am lucky to bring my little companion pretty much everywhere I go, including the office. My background and personality help me stay patient, approachable, and professional, and I find real satisfaction in helping individuals feel valued, supported, and cared for every day.
