Be Caring Sheffield is a vibrant and growing home care service, supporting people across Birley, Beighton, Hackenthorpe, Mosborough, and Frecheville. Launched in June 2024, it forms part of Be Caring’s not-for-profit, employee-owned organisation - committed to delivering care that’s as individual as the people receiving it.

Be Caring's focus is on helping people live well at home, offering the right support at the right time. This includes help with daily routines such as washing and dressing, managing medication, preparing meals, and providing companionship. Be Caring Sheffield also deliver specialist care for individuals with dementia, physical disabilities, and mental health needs.

Sheffield Care Workers are directly employed and thoroughly trained, not only in core care skills but in dignity, communication, and cultural awareness. Many team members live locally and reflect the communities they serve - bringing knowledge, empathy, and trust to every visit.

Although newly registered and awaiting a Care Quality Commission (CQC) rating, Be Caring Sheffield is already earning praise. In 2025, 91% of customers said the care they received was ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’.

By reinvesting in people, training, and community partnerships, Be Caring create a service that prioritises kindness, continuity, and quality. Every person supported is treated with respect and warmth, because at Be Caring, care is personal.

Current Review Score: 8.2 (8.208)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.2 (8.208) out of 10 for Be Caring Sheffield is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.0 out of 5 from 4 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 3.958 for Be Caring Sheffield is calculated as follows: ( (1 Excellents x 5) + (21 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 24 Ratings = 3.958

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 2 points in total for each of the next 9 Positive Reviews (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.1, 7th = 0.1, 8th = 0.1, 9th = 0.1, 10th = 0.1)

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Be Caring Sheffield is based on 4 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 = 4.25

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Service Manager

I began my journey in care at just 18 as a Support Worker in Sheffield, and spent four years building genuine connections and delivering person-centred support. From there I moved into a Coordination role, and later became a Service Manager—gaining valuable insight into how to run a smooth, high-quality care service.

In July 2024 I joined Be Caring Sheffield and immediately felt at home. I was drawn to our compassionate model and the team’s dedication to empowering the people we support. As Service Manager, my focus is on maintaining our high standards, refining care plans, and ensuring every person receives the thoughtful, personalised support they deserve.

I’m proud to lead a team of passionate professionals who share my belief in building trust, fostering community, and making a real difference every day. It’s an honour to be part of Be Caring and to help shape a service that truly puts people first.

Job Title: Care Assessor

I have over 7 years of experience in the Care Sector, and began my journey in 2018 as a Support Worker.

My background spans both Adult and Children’s Services, including a role within Children’s Protective Services, where I gained valuable skills in safeguarding and support. After stepping away from children’s services for personal reasons, I chose to focus on adult care—driven by my passion for delivering truly person-centred support.

My dedication and work ethic led to a promotion to Senior Carer, where I thrived in providing compassionate and high-quality care. In May 2024—on my birthday—I joined Be Caring as a Care Assessor. Since then, I’ve been proud to work with a team that shares my values and delivers care that genuinely makes a difference. My proudest achievements come from seeing the positive impact on our clients and their families—the smiles, the gratitude, and the trust we build. I am passionate about upholding dignity in care, supporting independence, and ensuring each care plan is tailored to the unique needs of every individual.

Job Title: Coordinator

I’ve spent the past three years in the care sector, but my journey actually began in Zimbabwe, where I earned a Social Work degree and practised as a Social Worker. When I moved into the UK, I completed my Care Certificate and joined Be Caring—first as a Care Worker, then just two months later stepping up to Care Coordinator.

Before that, I spent two years as a Senior Support Worker, building hands-on experience and learning what truly makes a difference day to day. Now, I’m proud to help run our growing Sheffield service—working with an experienced team to ensure everything runs smoothly.

My thinking is: happy carers deliver great care. I’m passionate about creating an environment where our staff feel supported and valued, because when they thrive, our clients do too. Making sure every client gets the best possible support—and seeing satisfied colleagues and families—is what inspires me every day!
