Job Title: Service Manager
Joined: 2023
I moved to the UK from India in 2005 and spent the next few years improving my English and settling in. In 2009 I started working as a Carer, and it quickly became clear how much I enjoyed supporting others.
Alongside my day-to-day work, I completed NVQs and extra English courses. Over time, I progressed through roles as Team Leader, Care Coordinator, Deputy Manager, and Registered Manager—each step reinforcing my belief in high-quality, person-centred care.
In October 2023, I opened our new Bradford branch as Service Manager. Bringing together a multicultural team and seeing us work seamlessly has been one of my proudest achievements. I’ve learned that consistency, clear communication, and accountability are key: when our staff feel supported, our clients receive the best care.
My approach is simple: respect each person’s background, keep communication honest, and always look for ways to improve. By doing this, we make sure every client—and every colleague—feels valued.
Job Title: Quality Lead
Joined: 2020
I never imagined I’d stay in care when I started in 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic—it was meant to be a stopgap before I went back to being cabin crew. But after joining Be Caring Leeds as a Care Assistant in December 2020, I quickly discovered how rewarding this work can be. I moved up to Team Leader and then, in January 2023, stepped into the office as a Client Support Officer.
When we opened Bradford branch in October 2023, I jumped at the chance to become Quality Lead. One of my favourite memories is helping set up Be Caring Sheffield last spring.
I love that Be Caring’s values focus on mutual support and continuous improvement. Bradford’s cultural diversity brings a richness to our service—every day I learn something new about local traditions and community needs, and I’m proud to help shape care that celebrates and respects them.
