I am the carer for my wife who, following a severe stroke, has significant communication, memory and mobility issues. However, I was aware that I would require cover for her care should I have to attend my own hospital appointments, etc. I made contact with Maplewood Independent Living, who arranged for a carer to make regular social visits to familiarise herself with my wife's needs and the home layout. This social interaction has been beneficial in itself and has given the required peace of mind should full involvement with my wife's care be required.

I met Alice at a point where the option of care, in the form of home visits, for my mum was on the cards but we just didn't know where to start. Alice was so reassuring and professional - she took the time to understand the specifics of what we were hoping for and was able to put in place an ideal package for us. Louisa now visits weekly and has gone above and beyond our expectations. I would highly recommend Maplewood.

We met Alice when she was looking after our neighbour - she was a great help at a time when he needed it and was kind, respectful and knowledgeable. We would recommend her to anyone who needs an understanding carer.

When my father had a fall and was admitted into hospital, he was discharged with a care package. Whilst his neighbour's were temporarily able to help, I found that at short notice, I needed someone to look after my Dad and Alice, and her team stepped up and really helped when we needed someone.
