After working his whole life in the motor industry, Keith Clayton knows exactly what good customer service looks like. He feels he now receives this himself as a customer of Caremark Mansfield & Ashfield.
But like all our customer stories, they need to start at the beginning.
Keith spent his entire career in the motor industry, working in after-sales for a company specialising in Volvo cars.
In 2008, he was given the opportunity to buy the business himself and set up Clayton’s of Mansfield.
Employing eight staff, the company had many successful years carrying out repairs, MOT’s, servicing and other work connected with Volvo cars. This continued before Keith retired.
Keith, understandably, has a lifelong love of the Swedish car and it’s something his wife Mary agrees with too. She was twice involved in an accident whilst driving a Volvo and says the renowned robust build of the car undoubtedly saved her life.
Keith and Mary met and fell in love at work and have been married for 53 years. The happy couple have one daughter and two grandchildren.
Three years ago, Keith was suddenly taken into hospital after falling unconscious. Mary was told by doctors to call the family as they didn’t think he would survive.
But Keith is most definitely a survivor and made a full recovery. Now Caremark Mansfield & Ashfield provide a little support, visiting him once a day, each evening, to help him shower and get ready for bed.
