My father had seniors helping him for the last few years of his life. He was 97 when he died and had lived independently but needed a little help in the last few years . He was reluctant at first but very quickly could not praise them enough . The seniors team were compassionate, but most importantly treated him with respect and dignity. They helped him achieve tasks he wanted to do but never took over , always listening to his needs and helping him to reach his goals . My father was a fiercely independent man so it was wonderful that he could carry on doing the things he loved with their attentive help. They also went the extra mile in accommodating unexpected emergencies and were always available when needed. Towards the end of his life their visits gave him a sense of purpose and he looked forward to their visits. My father if he was still alive would sing their praises and I and my brothers cannot recommend or thank them enough . They are outstanding.

I can highly recommend Seniors helping Seniors. They regularly come in to help and be with my mother. They are all so lovely and caring. When she has needed extra help at short notice they have been amazing at providing that for her. She would not have been able to remain at home without the support they have provided.

Thank you

I am very grateful for the care provided. Wonderful care and team made it feel very individual and that my parents were the most importent people in the world. The service was incredibly flexible at very short notice.

Without their support we wouldn't have managed to keep my mum at home so long. I would highly recommend.

I have been very impressed with the organisation and support provided by Seniors Helping Seniors for my Mum in Canterbury. We selected this companion service and have been using them since February 2026, particularly because more experienced staff were used and the value that they placed on their employees. The weekly visits provided for my mother is welcome and gives me peace of mind as we do not live close by.

The staff are vey helpful, The administration is particularly efficient with communications being responsed to quickly. When we needed to adapt the appointments this has been done without complication.

I have particularly relieved that at short notice that a companion could be found to accompany my Mum to an emergency dental appointment.

The Portal is a useful tool to track the meetings and updates from the companion. Again there is always a prompt response in record keeping.

We honestly couldn't ask for a better service. The carers are professional, kind, and genuinely caring. My mum absolutely loves seeing the lady who visits her three times a week, and those visits mean so much to her. Mum would truly be lost without their support. It gives our family real peace of mind knowing she is being looked after so well. Thank you for everything you do.

Seniors Helping Seniors went out of their way to provide a top rate service for my wife. The procedure started with the owner visiting us at home for a discussion and to leave a questionnaire for us to provide details of my wife's likes, dislikes, past employment, hobbies and pastimes so that the carer could be carefully matched to my wife. Soon, a small team of carers was assembled, each one being introduced by the owner, and the team remained stable throughout my wife's care. When we went from two carer visits per day to three, the manager went over and above the call of duty to find the extra suitable staff. Each carer was kind, genuinely caring, professional and thoughtful, adding significantly to the quality of life of my wife and myself.

The service provided by the Seniors Helping Seniors has been amazing from the start. The daily visits to provide company for my dad, have a chat and a cup of tea and make him a small meal have been exactly what he needed. It has been reassuring knowing that familiar people have popped in to see him and would report back with any concerns allowing him to remain a little more independent. It's a great service and I would highly recommend.

We are delighted we found this company, and with how well my father-in-law has taken to visits from the carers.
We found out about Seniors Helping Seniors (SHS) quite by chance while looking for some support for my father-in-law. I'd emailed a few companies for more information, and SHS replied with really helpful information, and we thought we'd give them a try.
Tim met with my father-in-law and some members of his family, and we were introduced to some of the individuals who would be supporting him. They all were very friendly and my father-in-law was very happy to chat to them.

We arranged for the support to build up to five days a week, one hour each day, to chat and make a cup of tea (and a sandwich for later). My father-in-law has really taken to the carers and tells us how nice it is when they visit. The timing of the visits were arranged for his/our convenience (when we knew he would have been on his own for a while) and we are so pleased with how well it is working.

Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful review. We are extremely grateful for the support provided by this care agency. They were incredibly helpful in arranging care at very short notice, taking the time to listen carefully and showing real understanding and sympathy for our situation. They have been patient, kind and respectful with my 86-year-old mother, who is very independent and initially reluctant to accept help, which has made a huge difference. Communication has been excellent throughout, with clear and timely updates whenever there have been any changes to carers or visit times. Knowing that my mum is being cared for by people who are reliable, attentive and genuinely caring has taken away a great deal of worry. I have real peace of mind knowing she is in safe hands.

The Seniors Helping Seniors team provides excellent support for our mother. The carers are friendly, assist her with a wide range of tasks including ones she finds challenging and share useful advice with us. Importantly, Seniors Helping Seniors give my sister and me peace of mind, knowing that she is in good hands and enable our mother to continue living at her home.

It was a great relief to me when I returned from a day out to find my husband full of praise for the company of Tony who, he said, had been immensely conscientious and he was totally satisfied with all the assistance he had been given. Seniors Helping Seniors had introduced Tony to us the week before, which we found helpful and we would have no hesitation in calling for their services again.

Thank you for taking the time to write in to share your experiences. We are always delighted to help carers achieve some respite from their day to day. My disabled husband has had many happy hours of fun, laughter and games with our volunteer. Once every 2 weeks he comes to chat and gives me a couple of hours to meet up with friends I havent seen for a while as I cannot leave my husband for long. Thoroughly recommend this well organised, professional team to add a little sparkle to both our lives.

Straight from the first contact, the experience has been professional and without reproach. From the short lead-in time, SHS have bent over backwards to help and have provided a first class service for mum. She loves the contact with the carers, giving her the personal assistance and dignity she required that my brother and I could not provide.
With the portal as well, we are able to maintain up to date contact and communication on a daily basis which is also a great relief as I live so far away.

I would definitely recommend Seniors Helping Seniors and have already done so for another family member.

SHS were caring for my 93 year old Mum for over a year. She had 3 different Carers call in to her on a weekly basis. My mother can be difficult at times, but all Carers were so patient and kind to her and she truly liked all of them. They really did make a difference to her life in a positive way. Everyone was punctual and any (rare) absenteeism was dealt with in a professional way and a substitute found immediately. Unfortunately my Mum had to go into a Care Home and I know how much she misses her Carers. I mainly dealt with Rachel and Tim in the office, who were always friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending SHS, they offer a reliable 5* service with super Carers.

Having had experience of two different types of care for our Dad (agency care at home & dementia care in a carehome) we had an idea of what we wanted for our Mum.
From the outset we felt supported and heard by Seniors helping seniors. It was not an easy time, but we had help navigating every step.
The understanding from owner Tim & care manager Hayley was exemplary. Hayley was the person we liaised with, starting with a home visit and then was our contact for timings, concerns and how they could very best support Mum during her changing health needs.
Hayley is so much more than a care manager. She is empathetic, very experienced & is so patient and kind.

Because of this, the carers she chose for Mum were also really right & we can't speak highly enough of them. The care never felt rushed. They gave really good support with attention to detail and practical suggestions. We felt they went out of their way to really understand our Mum, & the care was always given with care and compassion.

I had excellent communication with Sally from the start of contact. The request was for a companion to visit a client of mine at a Care Home. An on-site visit was arranged quickly and an assessment of the situation was acquired. Sally and her colleagues provided 1-1 support twice a week which worked very well and the set up of the support was very quick which was great. The companion support is currently on hold whilst the client is at her own home for a respite period to assess whether she can remain at her long terms with a care package, if she can, then I would have not hesitation in engaging the services of the companions again to provide consistency in care.

My mother only started companionship visits from seniors helping seniors in November 25 and her buddy was a perfect match for my mum forming a great friendship instantly with so much in common. Unfortunately mum was rushed to hospital via ambulance in January and had a pacemaker fitted. Although I visit mum daily I'd missed the symptoms and it was Linda on a buddy made me aware of my mums condition. I wouldn't have reacted without Linda. Both Linda and Vittorio stayed in contact concerned for mum's well being. This is much more than a job to Linda and much more than a business to Vittorio. I really can't thank them both enough. Since the buddy visits have started it's really improved my mums outlook on life
