Straight from the first contact, the experience has been professional and without reproach. From the short lead-in time, SHS have bent over backwards to help and have provided a first class service for mum. She loves the contact with the carers, giving her the personal assistance and dignity she required
that my brother and I could not provide.
With the portal as well, we are able to maintain up to date contact and communication on a daily basis which is also a great relief as I live so far away.
I would definitely recommend Seniors Helping Seniors and have already done so for another family member.

SHS were caring for my 93 year old Mum for over a year. She had 3 different Carers call in to her on a weekly basis. My mother can be difficult at times, but all Carers were so patient and kind to her and she truly liked all of them. They really did make a difference to her life in a positive way. Everyone
was punctual and any (rare) absenteeism was dealt with in a professional way and a substitute found immediately. Unfortunately my Mum had to go into a Care Home and I know how much she misses her Carers. I mainly dealt with Rachel and Tim in the office, who were always friendly and helpful. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending SHS, they offer a reliable 5* service with super Carers.
Reply from Tim Heaney, Owner at Seniors Helping Seniors Mid Surrey and West KentThank you for your kind review. We're so pleased to hear that our carers made such a positive difference to your mum's life and that she enjoyed their visits. Your lovely comments about their patience and kindness will mean a lot to the team. We're also glad that our office team were able to support you well. It was a privilege to care for your mum, and we wish her all the very best in her new home.Thank you for trusting SHS with your mum's care and for your recommendation. Kind regards, Tim

Having had experience of two different types of care for our Dad (agency care at home & dementia care in a carehome) we had an idea of what we wanted for our Mum.
From the outset we felt supported and heard by Seniors helping seniors. It was not an easy time, but we had help navigating every step.
The
understanding from owner Tim & care manager Hayley was exemplary. Hayley was the person we liaised with, starting with a home visit and then was our contact for timings, concerns and how they could very best support Mum during her changing health needs.
Hayley is so much more than a care manager. She is empathetic, very experienced & is so patient and kind.
Because of this, the carers she chose for Mum were also really right & we can't speak highly enough of them. The care never felt rushed. They gave really good support with attention to detail and practical suggestions. We felt they went out of their way to really understand our Mum, & the care was always given with care and compassion.
Reply from Tim Heaney, Owner at Seniors Helping Seniors Mid Surrey and West KentThank you so much for sharing your experience; your kind words are greatly appreciated. We are delighted that Hayley, our Care Manager, provided exemplary, supportive guidance throughout your Mum's care. It's also wonderful to hear that the carers chosen for your Mum were such a good fit and that the care provided made a real difference. It has been a pleasure to support your Mum, and we will share your review with the team. Thank you again for trusting Seniors Helping Seniors with your Mum's care. I had excellent communication with Sally from the start of contact. The request was for a companion to visit a client of mine at a Care Home. An on-site visit was arranged quickly and an assessment of the situation was acquired. Sally and her colleagues provided 1-1 support twice a week which worked
very well and the set up of the support was very quick which was great. The companion support is currently on hold whilst the client is at her own home for a respite period to assess whether she can remain at her long terms with a care package, if she can, then I would have not hesitation in engaging the services of the companions again to provide consistency in care.
Reply from Sally Wilse, Partner at Seniors Helping Seniors (UK) Ltd - CanterburyThank you ! Means the world. We are thrilled with the decision to have our carers support a live-in team. A great outcome for the client and a testament to teamwork. Your unwavering commitment and determination is inspiring.

My mother only started companionship visits from seniors helping seniors in November 25 and her buddy was a perfect match for my mum forming a great friendship instantly with so much in common. Unfortunately mum was rushed to hospital via ambulance in January and had a pacemaker fitted. Although I
visit mum daily I'd missed the symptoms and it was Linda on a buddy made me aware of my mums condition. I wouldn't have reacted without Linda. Both Linda and Vittorio stayed in contact concerned for mum's well being. This is much more than a job to Linda and much more than a business to Vittorio. I really can't thank them both enough. Since the buddy visits have started it's really improved my mums outlook on life
Reply from Sally Wilse, Partner at Seniors Helping Seniors (UK) Ltd - CanterburyThank you for taking the time. Vittorio and his team are wonderful.

Seniors Helping Seniors provided invaluable support for my mother through a long period of her deteriorating dimentia, right to the very end of her life.
The staff were always kind, respectful, sensitive and intuitive to my mother's needs and she really enjoyed their visits. The support of having
twice daily visits allowed mum to remain independent in her own home for so much longer.
From the onset of meeting the care staff, the care and professionalism was fantastic. We received daily updates and the communication was superb.
This provided so much reassurance with my mother living over an hour away from myself. I felt really at ease to discuss my mother's care at length. SHS gave so much time, understanding and flexibility to any adjustments in care or new requirements.
I was also very touched by mum's carers attending her funeral service and the support following our great loss. I cannot thank SHS enough for their outstanding care and support.
Reply from Tim Heaney, Owner at Seniors Helping Seniors Mid Surrey and West KentThank you for your kind and heartfelt words. We are truly sorry for your loss and honoured to have supported your mother and your family during such an important time. It means so much to hear that our carers' kindness, professionalism, and communication gave you reassurance and helped your mother remain comfortable and independent at home. Your feedback has been shared with the team and is greatly appreciated. On behalf of everyone at Seniors Helping Seniors, thank you for trusting us with your mother's care. Tim @ Seniors Helping Seniors has been an absolute star. For the last 6 months he has helped guide us through getting care in for mum, who has Alzheimers.
The service is professional but also very human with a capital H. The carers have all been super friendly and happy to help mum. Tim and his team
have always personaly introduced new carers to mum.
They respond very quickly to requests and also bring a level of flexibility that does not always exist in the care sector.
Carers have been found who can play games with mum, take her out if she needs and even talk a bit of Spanish and French with her.
A huge THANK YOU from myself and my family for all the ongoing help and advice.
James

I have been using Seniors Helping Seniors for 2 years now to support my mum, who has dementia. There is a small management team who I have got to know well and I feel that they genuinely know and care about both me and my mum. The communication is excellent - with emails for ongoing arrangements backed
up by a group chat for quick messages or updates. Most importantly, my mum is very comfortable with the carers who visit, with her main carer becoming a good friend who mum really looks forward to seeing. Unlike some other care providers, all the carers speak good English and are patient and supportive of my mum. The carers provide a range of support including taking her to medical appointments, helping her take her cats to the vet, taking her shopping or for coffee as well as helping her around the house. They also provide personal care visits. Over Christmas they also provided 3 days full cover while I was away, visiting to give her evening medication and checking on her general.
Reply from Tim Heaney, Owner at Seniors Helping Seniors Mid Surrey and West KentThank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and detailed review. It means a great deal to our whole team to know that both you and your mum feel supported, understood, and cared for. Building strong relationships and clear communication is very important to us, so it's wonderful to know this has made a difference. It's a privilege to support your mum, and we truly appreciate your trust over the past two years. Kind regards, Tim Heaney

A neighbour recommended Seniors helping Seniors so I got in touch when I wanted to employ someone to keep my husband company while I went out for the afternoon. The arrangement worked well first time and continued for a couple of years usually with the same Carer. At holiday times there would be a different
person who came so I almost always got the cover I needed. So it gave me a sense of freedom.
Reply from Tim Heaney, Owner at Seniors Helping Seniors Mid Surrey and West KentThank you so much for taking the time to share your experience. Our user experience of SHS was very positive. The management team took trouble and care to understand my parents' needs and interests and match them to appropriate care staff. They were always professional, attentive, helpful and flexible and worked effectively to find cover whenever needed. Whenever
a new person was introduced someone would come to induct them.
The quality of carers was exceptional, always caring, engaging and people with whom my parents could have good intellectually stimulating conversations. I always felt my parents were safe and well looked after. The idea of seniors helping seniors really worked for my parents. They responded well to a more mature and experienced person who they could relate to. I was so grateful to the whole team, managers and carers for helping and supporting me through a very challenging time with my parents.

When my brother was given a diagnosis of dementia, things became very difficult as he lived on his own 160 miles from us, his only relatives. He did not need personal care, but could no longer cope with many everyday things such as letters/forms, bank cards and appointments etc. Knowing that there was
someone local who would help him was hugely reassuring. We found Seniors Helping Seniors to be very supportive & respectful of their client, and also flexible if the hours needed to be changed. My brother came to value the times he had coffee & a walk with his 'buddy' and the family WhatsApp group they created was great for communicating how he was & for us to share any specific needs for that week. Thank you so much for the care & attention you provided. I don't know how we could have managed without it.

I first approached SHS for companion care for my parents at a time when they were very reluctant to recognise that they needed any help. As needs changed I found SHS to be very flexible. As my mother became more unwell I needed to think about my Dads needs moving forwards. SHS introduced me to a lovely
lady who I just knew would be perfect for my Dad with Alzheimers
We had several visits a week from the same lovely lady over a couple of years mostly cooking a hot meal and engaging with Dad. I always found her to be reliable and felt she genuinely cared for Dads welfare as well as being empathetic to me. In addition I knew if there were any concerns she would let me know. Without her I'm not sure we'd have managed to keep Dad at home for as long as we did on his own
In addition SHS is run very efficiently and any queries (of which there were very few) were handled in a timely and satisfactory manner
Reply from Tim Heaney, Owner at Seniors Helping Seniors Mid Surrey and West KentThank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with SHS. We understand how difficult it can be when loved ones are reluctant to accept help, and we're so pleased we could support both your mum and dad through those changes. It's wonderful to hear that the carer we introduced brought comfort, companionship, and reliability for your dad, while also giving you peace of mind. Knowing that we were able to make a difference in keeping him at home for as long as possible means a great deal to us. We'll be sure to pass your kind words on to the team. Thank you again for your trust in SHS - it has been our privilege to walk alongside your family. Kind regards, Owner.

My brother, sister and I are all very pleased with the help we have for our 93 year old mother. We have two hours a week which is part companionship and part gardening. Despite the fact that my mother has moved from her house into a care home a couple of months back we asked for the support to continue
to make the settling into the home an easier transition. The team behind the individual carer are always available to tweak the service as necessary.
