Overall Experience

We needed full time care for my 94 year old father at short notice when another family member was unwell. The assessment visit was arranged quickly and carried out with great professionalism which made us all feel at ease. Time was spent making my dad feel comfortable with the arrangement. The carer who came to stay and look after dad was truly wonderful and was a great companion to dad at a difficult time, nothing was a problem or too much trouble. While we all feel apprehension when things change and full time care is required, Gardiners were everything we could have hoped for and we would recommend them to anyone in a similar situation.

Overall Experience

My sisters and I are extremely happy with the care our mother has received. It has been such a relief from worry knowing that professional and kind carers are seeing our mother each day. Communication is excellent. The carers are very flexible and open to suggestions and from the outset mum has been very positive about them visiting. What has been particularly helpful is the way the carers spend time chatting with mum while also noticing what needs doing in the home and achieving a great deal in the hour they are there. We would all highly recommend this firm.

Overall Experience
We contacted Gardiners in the midst of a family crisis. We needed urgent live in care for my 94 year old father in law following a sudden hospital admission for a relative carer.

Gardiners were brilliant and arranged an assessment visit within two days. The manager who visited explained everything clearly and spent time getting to know my father in law ( quite tricky as he is very deaf and refuses any hearing aid devices!) . Within a few days they had found us the most wonderful carer. She came into the house and was an immediate hit with my father in law. His face beamed when she smiled at him, she was warm and reassuring. We have been so happy to have found her to help get us all through a tricky time. We would 100% recommend Gardiner's and would certainly ask for the same carer again! The relief of having good care in place with a trusted agency is huge!

My family is lucky enough to have been using Gardiners to help us look after Dad for a few years now and we continue to be impressed by the quality of care he receives, their willingness to go the extra mile to help support us as Dad's dementia progresses and the speed in which Gardiners responds to requests. The app that Gardiners uses to give families feedback on each visit keeps us up to date on how Dad is travelling each day and if any problems have cropped up. These problems can then be quickly addressed either using suggestions from the carers, care managers or ourselves. The fact that the carers used by Gardiners can escort Dad to medical appointments, take him out for coffee and cake to favourite cafes and ensure he can safely go for walks has been a huge bonus, as Dad enjoys his outings, but as his mobility and cognition has decreased so he has required increasing levels of support to continue doing what he loves. Thank you for being such an amazing crew Gardiners.

Overall Experience
Our initial contact was with the person who visited to assess what we needed and wanted. Friendly, professional and knowledgeable she put us at our ease straight away and she felt more like a friend than just another in the long line of medical visitors.
Initially we had one carer who was fantastic. He treated my husband with dignity and was always talking to him explaining what he was going to do and just generally chatting. My husband was dreading having personal care but with this carer it was no problem and my husband used to look forward to his visits.
When the time came to increase the visits Gardiners pulled out all the stops to find carers, all of which treated my husband in the same caring fashion.

The carers at Gardiners are not rushing to get to the next appointment and treat the person they are caring for as an actual person and talk to them all the time while carrying out their tasks in a professional way.

I am very glad we chose Gardiner's homecare. The guidance and support from the care management has been invaluable and all aspects dealt with great sensitivity and compassion. Overall Experience

Gardiners have been looking after my father for several years now. He has now transitioned to four care visits a day with two carers. My father is blind, deaf and doubly incontinent and bedbound now but he is treated with dignity and respect by all the Gardiners team despite the challenging circumstances. All the carers are so kind and caring, take the time to talk to him even though it is incredibly difficult because of his hearing and we trust them absolutely to look after him. The care manager is also excellent, always liaising with the family and keeping us up to date with what is going on.

very hqppy with care and help. enjoy trips out and feel very safe with carers. Looker is good and phoning office easy if i need to. carers always friendly and helpful and our chats are lovely. they make a real difference to my life and wouldnt want to be without them

I have been so happy with the care that the carers from Gardiners have provided for my dad. They are all kind and supportive and have enabled him to maintain his independence at home despite his dementia. They provide practical and emotional support and help him to start his day in a cheery way, orienting him to the day ahead.
I have also been pleased with the efficient support offered by the care agency in terms of organising the care and the payments required etc.

I thoroughly recommend Gardiners to others needing to support their loved one at home.

Overall Experience

I have had 4 days a week care since my wife died 2 years ago. She had full on care until she died. In discussion with my offspring we decided that I should have a 5 days a week care. I have had my own health issues and the care has been invaluable. Not only do the carers carry out household functions. Also they provide me with company. I have fouls that all of them have interesting back stories. I by nature I am a good conversationalist and my needs have al always been met.

Gardiners started care for my dad in January 2026, after he had just lost his wife and had progressed into middle term dementia. It was a difficult transition for my dad and the Gardiners team were excellent in making the process possible. They care for my dad with empathy, sympathy, kindness and warmth. Their give support though companionship and care for him.. They keep us well informed and we have a clear and open communication with them that enables us to inform them of any change needs. My dad is now at ease with them and looks forward to them coming for a chat and preparing his dinners for him. Because my dad is now at ease with them it gives us peace of mind that he is cared for when we can't get there.We are very grateful for Linzi and her team making everything so easy at these difficult times. I would highly recommend them, they are excellent in everything they do. We could not have got a better care team.

The support and care that the wonderful team at Gardiners gave to my Dad and his partner for over 18 months enabled them to stay living in their own house for as long as possible , as was their wish.
There were many challenges along the way but their collective skills at solving these and adapting as the situation changed was invaluable. Patience and understanding both with our loved ones and us as relatives did not go unnoticed either.
Everyone's contribution was amazing , they all worked really hard to build trust and rapport and achieved this with unrelenting patience and kindness .

As relatives we were given all the time, support and guidance that we needed , often over and above what would be expected. I would not hesitate to recommend Gardiners .

Throughout the two and a half years that Gardiner's assisted my brother and I with the care of our sister, during the latter stages of Alzheimer's disease, their carers and managers provided invaluable support and guidance on the best way to handle the illness as it progressed. All the carers who visited were friendly and efficient and our regular carer, who attended throughout, was a great source of comfort to our sister with her cheery personality and worked wonders to keep up our spirits too.

My Mum's Carer, is exceptional. Following a two week hospital stay in spring, it became clear that Mums care needs now exceeded care visits and required a live-in-care solution.

Gardeners live-in care team were responsive and flexible and have been providing care for my mum for the last 6 months. We now have a consistent care package and Mums wellbeing has improved considerably. Not only has her nutrition improved (mums carer cooks everything from scratch), but the enrichment facilitated by her carer taking her to new places, and community events has enhanced mum's quality of life exponentially.

When mum received her dementia diagnosis 2 years ago, I feared her cognitive decline would be quite severe, however, with the excellent care she's received, mum has remained conversational and her mental wellbeing is currently very good. All of which is testament to the quality of care she's in receipt of.

My mother in law now has a live in carer and receives excellent care which gives the family such piece of mind. Her carer continually goes above and beyond on all aspects of my mother in law's care. She is hugely supported by Gardiners management and between us we communicate very well to ensure all of my mother in laws needs are met - I cannot recommend them highly enough

Gardiners cared for Dad at home in the final year of his life. At first these were daily companionship visits and then as Dad became acutely unwell increased to four paired visits a day involving personal care, feeding assistance and meds. Dad and the family received wonderful care from the Gardiners' team who treated Dad with such dignity, warmth and kindness. We found the whole team to be very responsive whenever changes were necessary as Dad's health declined. Dad and the family also really benefitted from the very many helpful and practical suggestions that only such a very experienced team can make.

In Dad's final days, the team could not have been kinder. It means a lot that with Gardiner's support we were able to fulfill Dad's wish that he die peacefully at home.
