The client was my wife, aged 91 when she broke a hip in March 2019; the engagement with THCG started in April 2019 and ended in Sept 2025 with transfer to a nursing home after a fall and further reduced mobility.
1. 43 carers visited over the 6 years, but at any one time usually 3 or 4 regulars.
2.Carers were friendly and seemed genuinely to be concerned about the client's wellbeing.
3. Almost all the carers worked in ways the client found comfortable. One did not; when we spoke to the management we were told she had left the company.
4. When anything significant changed the Care Manager came to the house, observed his employees at work, and made adjustments to the care package and/or ordered different equipment to add to that we had on long loan.
5. When I needed 2 days in hospital and a month of reduced activities, at a few hours' notice the Care Manager arranged overnight calls and extra daytime calls.
6. Invoices were prompt, accurate and easily understood.
