Keula De Barros was inspired to enter a career in care after seeing how her father struggled when he became very ill and needed a kidney transplant. My journey into care began when my brother sustained brain damage after being assaulted during a robbery. Supporting him through that incredibly difficult time awakened a deep passion within me for helping others during their most vulnerable moments. Caring for a loved one revealed a natural instinct and empathy in me—one that I soon realised I could extend to others in need.
Since then, I have worked with various care organisations, gaining hands-on experience and deepening my commitment to this field. Eventually, I was given the opportunity to relocate to the UK, where I have proudly worked as a care professional for the past two years.
