Consultus Care & Nursing

We needed a live-in nurse urgently after my aunt had a fall. Consultus was recommended to us and I'm so grateful that they were! From the very first phone call, I found them to be extremely helpful and sympathetic and most importantly incredibly competent. My aunt fell on the Friday and by the Tuesday we had been assigned a live-in nurse. What I liked especially about Consultus is that they don't match the client to the nurse geographically but by character. How refreshing! My aunt was a very strong-willed and determined lady. After an extremely thorough assessment Consultus immediately realised that they needed to assign an experienced and adroit nurse. They couldn't have found someone more perfect for us. Not only was the nurse super-competent but we were so impressed by her sympathetic nature and caring manner. My aunt honestly couldn't have been in better hands. The Consultus nurse gave us the ability to give my aunt her strongest wish, which was to die at peace in her own home.

The service is extremely expensive but care at this level does not come cheap and most agencies have similar pay scales.

We as a family have had a really good/extraordinary experience with Consultus Care nursing. Whilst it has been the most devastating time to help our mother through dreadfully unwell health and pain to passing away, Consultus Care helped us all. Firstly assisting my mother in her really painful illness and admission to hospital and then supporting us, her daughters and family as we spent the last few days and hours with our mother. Our carer assisted us with the first few days after her passing in a holistic, professional, nurturing way. She is our guardian angel

My wife returned from hospital following major stomach surgery and required personal nursing and care. Consultus introduced an experienced, retired RGN/district nurse from Lancashire who proved invaluable. She was professional, very competent, supportive and reassuring.

We have used the services of Consultus a number of times in 2019 and usually as an emergency for my ageing mother in law. Consultus has provided the most amazing service, finding one of their lovely carers within 24-36 hours. All the carers that we have experienced so far have been kind, thoughtful and patient. We don't know how we would have coped without Consultus.

My partner was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML) in July. His health deteriorated very rapidly in September and I needed live-in nursing support for when he was discharged when nothing further could be done. The nurse was arranged promptly and assisted greatly by liaising with the hospital re all things medical on my behalf. She was also a huge support for me in being able to deal with the final days of my partner's life. I would recommend anyone in my situation seeks this level of support - it was invaluable.

Nothing is too much trouble and they are totally calm and reassuring for all of us. Every carer has been a pleasure to have in the house and they go above and beyond any normal duties. I would highly recommend them and regularly do!

Consultus provided one month of nursing care, then four weeks of night care. We found all staff professional, well mannered, able, friendly and very reassuring.

My parents used Consultus Care to provide live-in care over a 3 year period. The carers enabled them to continue living in their own home by providing such an excellent service. The carers were all so caring; interested in my parents as people, ensured their dignity and respect as they became less able and so much more. They were all so professional and knowledgeable. As their daughter minding their finances - I considered them cost-effective and supportive to me too, with much advice. Consultus Care looked after my mother for several years. This was a great success and she enjoyed years at home, which would otherwise have been impossible. The service is very efficient and receptive to the family's wishes. The carers provided have been superb. A great company and good to deal with.

The company provide very supportive professional care which extends from administration staff through to the carers. They are knowledgable and kind when dealing with my dad they show him consideration and respect at all times their care allows our family time and enjoys a quality of life as well as my dad.
