I would like to thank you so much for all your help with the wonderful carers we have had in the past who looked after my mother over many years. She was able to be in her own home up until the end which was fantastic.
Most are considered friends now and will continue our friendship. Many went over
and beyond with their care, devotion and love. There are too many to mention but I have been in touch with all of them. They too, are very sad.
I will recommend your company to others as first rate.

They looked after my mother for several years with a succession of excellent carers. After she died we recommended Consultus to my wife’s aunt and they looked after her until she died on her 100th birthday. They must have looked after her for at least ten years. The carers nearly all became personal
friends of my wife’s aunt and undoubtedly enabled her to stay in her own home until she died. We can not recommend them highly enough.

We contacted Consultus after a fall, highlighting my mother was no longer safe to live alone. They have been absolutely fantastic. From the first phone call onwards, we cannot fault either the office staff or carers. My mother has transitioned from no outside care to full time and Consultus have made
this so easy for which we are all very grateful. I have no hesitation at all in recommending the whole operation.

We used Consultus Care & Nursing for a period of over 3 years. Initially, carers came to look after our father but when he passed away we continued to care for our mother until she also passed away. The service provided by Consultus was first class and the care given to our parents was wonderful. The
regular carers became part of our family and we will never forget their kindness and respectfulness towards both our parents and our families.

Consultus Care & Nursing have provided care over several years, first for my mother, who had dementia, and later for my father. In all that time they never let us down. The care provided was second to none, professional, compassionate and reliable. Two of the team in particular became extremely close
to my father and it was thanks to them that he was able to stay at home as long as he did. I cannot thank Consultus enough for all they did for both of my parents.

My 98-year-old mum has been cared for by Consultus carers for the last 8 months since she had a very bad fall and it became clear that she could no longer manage to live alone. Every single carer has been professional, efficient and kind. Most have a great deal of caring experience and despite being
a registered nurse myself I have appreciated their knowledge and ideas of the best way to deal with Mum's care issues. Of course, it will always be the case that we get on better with some than others but there has not been one we wouldn't have back. We are now beginning to get the same carers returning which is great for Mum as she always gets anxious when there is a change of carer. Staff in the office are very friendly and have always been available to deal with any issues quickly.

My Dad has recently celebrated his first 'Consultus Birthday' having been cared for by a team of lovely carers organised by Consultus since early February 2022. As often happens, Dad landed up in the hospital and went from living independently to needing live-in care literally overnight. He was very
apprehensive on day 1 but quickly became a huge fan of live-in care - he still lives in his own spacious home, with all his things around him, visitors whenever he wants them, he has control over how his life is lived, and he enjoys the company of a rotating team of regular carers.
Before Dad had live-in care we had got the most up-to-date fall and emergency alarm which I could monitor remotely to make sure Dad was moving about, but I was always on edge about whether he was really Okay. I have complete confidence that Dad's carers will let me or my sister know what's going on if they need to, but that they are able to handle most things. Thank you Consultus!

We have been engaged with Consultus Care & Nursing for over a year and a half. They have been extremely professional and flexible from the very beginning. Their manager has been nothing short of amazing in keeping us updated and responding to the changing needs of both my mother and father in law.
They always demonstrate genuine compassion and empathy during difficult times. The carers are very hard working, and professional. We contacted Consultus Care & Nursing when it became clear that my mother could no longer live in her beloved home without the support of a live-in carer. This was in March 2020. Since that time Consultus has provided exceptional care through a number of dedicated, creative and skilled carers. These
carers ensured that my mother was happy and healthy during the difficult days of lockdown and enabled her to live in her own home until she died in her own bed (as she wanted) in August 2022.
The whole family believe that the care provided to our mother was outstanding. Her privacy and dignity were respected at all times so that she felt able to welcome friends and family to visit her in the same way as when she lived on her own.
My experience of contacting the consultants was also extremely positive. Calls were dealt with promptly and thoughtful responses were given to queries and problems.

We have been clients of Consultus Care for almost six years during which time my father's health deteriorated gradually until he died at home. We were fortunate to have some longer-term carers who became regulars. Inevitably, over such a long time, we did have a few carers who did not work out as well
as others but none of them were disrespectful or uncaring - it comes down to personality in some cases - but our regular carers were wonderful, devoted and caring -and we developed a family bond with many of them.
Living out of the UK it was essential for us to know that our father was well cared for and safe and Consultus certainly provided this. We were very grateful to be able to keep Dad in his home, as he wished, and we could not have done so without the dedication of the very special Consultus carers.

We used Consultus to care for my father after he suffered a stroke in 2004 and when it got to the stage of my mother needing care we had no hesitation in contacting Consultus again and they provided a continuous rota of live-in carers from 2015 until my mother died at home aged 97 in May 2022. The fact
that my mother lived to such great age and was able to stay at home until the end is thanks to the devoted and professional care she received.

My mother and father managed alone in their own home until they were 96 when my mother had a stroke and was hospitalised for two months. We needed a live-in carer for my father, who could not cope alone and was suffering from dementia.
A friend had used Consultus for her father and recommended them.
I
called them, and they sent a lady who was extremely kind to my father and helped him to cope with the sudden absence (Covid so no visiting) of his wife of more than seventy years.
When my mother came out of the hospital, they continued to need full-time live-in care.
Consultus provided a succession of live-in carers for the next two years, until sadly this year, they both died within three weeks of each other, peacefully, at home. They were cared for up to the very end with love and humour by two marvellous and conscientious carers.

I found the last three carers extremely good in all respects. I was too ill to make a judgment of the earlier ones. The main thing was to ensure I did my exercises to progress towards walking again, and they were very strict in doing so. And I liked them.

Overall, very impressed by the kindness and competence of the carers who have been looking after my mother. Many of them are very proactive about thinking about what she might need, not just today, but in the coming months. They also form good relationships with family members who visit and we all feel
a lot of trust in them. We have also found Consultus' office staff to be very friendly, efficient and responsive whenever we have had a question or an issue to resolve. Would recommend Consultus and have done so!

Susan joined Consultus in April 2006 to create and develop Consultus' carer training, and 19 years late,r she now manages the award-winning Consultus training department. Qualified as a Registered General Nurse in 1987, Susan is an experienced trainer, qualified assessor and verifier. She has excellent communication and people skills, with a passion and dedication to train Consultus carers to the very highest standards. Susan's approach to training excellence saw Consultus win the 'Training and Development' award with high commendation at the 2025 Home Care Awards.
