Overall, very impressed by the kindness and competence of the carers who have been looking after my mother. Many of them are very proactive about thinking about what she might need, not just today, but in the coming months. They also form good relationships with family members who visit and we all feel a lot of trust in them. We have also found Consultus' office staff to be very friendly, efficient and responsive whenever we have had a question or an issue to resolve. Would recommend Consultus and have done so!

We started using Consultus carers in March 2022 when we realised our mother, who has Alzheimer's, could no longer live at home without 24-hour care. It was a big adjustment for us as a family who care so deeply for our mother and wanted to do everything in our power to enable her to continue living in her home rather than move into a nursing home. The carers who have been provided by Consultus so far have all been genuinely caring people who are professional, experienced and helpful not only to our mother but to all of us as a family, with guidance and suggestions given to us in such a way that we have really appreciated it. Most of all, our mother has been accepting of someone now living with her and seems to have formed good and trusting relationships with all of the carers so far. We feel that Consultus really do think about matching their clients to the carers in experience and personality and are very thankful for this.

Consultus Care & Nursing is great - professional, efficient and yet friendly with it. All four carers that we've had through them have been excellent. Each have their own way of doing things but they have all gone above and beyond and my nanny has enjoyed having them. It has been a huge relief for me as I was finding it increasingly difficult to do my day job whilst managing the care situation for her. It's been everything I hoped for and more. Consultus's professional approach and organisation are great and the standard of care is really high. As a result, my nanny is flourishing - I haven't seen her look as good for eighteen months or more. It has been a real joy to see all of the carers look after her so well.

My mother, 91-years-old and severely visually impaired, has had a live-in carer from Consultus Care & Nursing since mid-March 2022. The carers she has had, usually with a change every two weeks, have been excellent, looking after her every need very well indeed. In particular, we praise the carers in April/May who have been outstanding. They are both kind, caring, friendly, cheerful, sympathetic and sensitive to my mother’s needs. They are very bright, efficient, neat, tidy and well-organised. They are hard-working and always ‘go that extra mile’, taking the initiative with tasks that need doing without being asked. It has been a pleasure having them with us. My mother had really enjoyed their company. The carers have made her feel safe, settled, confident and well looked after. We recommend them highly and would be very happy to have them return whenever they are able. We are very pleased that one of the carers is coming back soon for three and a half weeks.

To fill the gap we have had two of your carers stay. Both fitted in very well and proved both friendly and willing to deliver all that was needed. Should further care be needed at any time, Consultus Care & Nursing will, without doubt, be our first port of call. You provide a great service, and in our case, at very short notice. Thank you.

For six years Consultus Care & Nursing provided charming, efficient carers, usually the same two ladies, for my parents. But if need be they could find someone fast in an emergency. The carers all fitted in and I was confident in their care. I thoroughly recommend the team.

We used Consultus Care & Nursing for over two years and every carer was very professional. After meeting several different ones we found a few that really suited my father on a personality basis and he was very happy to be able to stay in his own home until the day he died.

We approached Consultus Care & Nursing in April 2020 when it became apparent that our mother needed more professional care than we were able to supply. Consultus were able to supply 24-hour care at very short notice and this remained in place up to my mother’s death in January 2022. Over that period of time, I have been nothing but impressed by the efficiency of the company and the care and professionalism of the carers they supplied. We always had confidence in the carers and many of them became friends over the period. I have no hesitation in recommending Consultus.

She was encouraging to my mother in regaining her independence. She quickly found her way around the house and learnt my mother’s routine. She was very friendly to all members of the family and also neighbours and friends. It was a great help that she was a driver. She embraced the cooking with enthusiasm and became a convert to the Aga!

During the pandemic from March 2020 till my mother's death in May 2021, Consultus Care & Nursing Agency made sure that my mother had the care she needed, especially in the absence of myself (in lockdown in Cape Town) and my brother (in lockdown in Hamburg). There was good communication with the agency and the carers at all times, which was such a relief for us as a family during this difficult time. On the carer side, excellent across the board. Of course, not everyone is a perfect fit; we know that - we are humans after all. But I can honestly say they have all been excellent in terms of diligence, smiles, care etc.

The care that my mother has received from Consultus Care and Nursing Agency has been absolutely gold standard. I cannot praise Mum's carer, highly enough. Right from the start she ensured Mum was "fed & watered" regularly, took her medication on time and ensured she got up and walked around several times every day. She did everything needed to run the household. Mum's health and mobility is much improved. All thanks to her carer for her care and compassion.

You won't regret it and recovery is so much easier with reassurance and good care.

I have Parkinson's disease and I live alone so it was essential for me to have some live-in care following a total hip replacement operation. The Consultus nurse arrived at my home the day I came out of hospital, she immediately familiarised herself with my needs and set about making me comfortable. She lived with me for two weeks and in that time not only carried out nursing tasks, such as managing my medication, monitoring my wound and overseeing my exercises, but also did any cooking or cleaning that was necessary, took me to appointments and to meet friends. She took her breaks to fit in with my needs and was happy to withdraw when I had other visitors. I could not have hoped for a better companion.

We needed a live-in nurse urgently after my aunt had a fall. Consultus was recommended to us and I'm so grateful that they were! From the very first phone call, I found them to be extremely helpful and sympathetic and most importantly incredibly competent. My aunt fell on the Friday and by the Tuesday we had been assigned a live-in nurse. What I liked especially about Consultus is that they don't match the client to the nurse geographically but by character. How refreshing! My aunt was a very strong-willed and determined lady. After an extremely thorough assessment Consultus immediately realised that they needed to assign an experienced and adroit nurse. They couldn't have found someone more perfect for us. Not only was the nurse super-competent but we were so impressed by her sympathetic nature and caring manner. My aunt honestly couldn't have been in better hands. The Consultus nurse gave us the ability to give my aunt her strongest wish, which was to die at peace in her own home.
