AMG Nursing & Care Services - Burton, established in 1983, provides a service to those who require the most complex care at home to those who just require a helping hand with their daily living.

With all staff fully trained, AMG provides a complete assessment package with all clients to ascertain a care package tailored to suit every individual.

Services AMG provide include 24 hour care adult home care (18+), home care for children, live in carer, personal care (on a contracted hours basis) as well as assessments and risk assessments in the home.

Other services include call in service, cancer care, cleaning service, companionship dementia, domestic services, food preparation, hospital discharge, laundry service, medication assistance, palliative care, shopping service and sit in service.

AMG provide excellent care for my father, they are very efficient and friendly, always smiling and keep me updated all the time. My father loves the care that he gets, at 95 it is very important that he is treated with dignity and respect, and AMG carers show this all the time.

Really good care service. All Caregivers are of a good standard with some being excellent. They are will to answer any questions you have with respect of the care being offered. My elderly mother has been with AMG for at least three years now after coming out of hospital with a broken leg. The care she has received in all of that time has been exemplary and has continued to be so through the last twelve months.
In a world where it is sometimes difficult to trust people, there
is no doubt in my mind that those individuals who have been looking after my Mum have shown the very highest levels of integrity, professionalism and genuine care. This has been a great comfort to me, in the knowledge that Mum is so incredibly well looked after.
On visits home, everyone has made time to talk with me and share their observations of Mum - both her physical and mental wellbeing, and I have heard and seen first hand how much care and attention is given to help her retain a degree of independence, and even more importantly her dignity and self worth.
The nature of such dedication cannot be underestimated - both my Mum and I remain extremely grateful to everyone involved.

Day 1 of 3 x day care for my father - this morning was a no show - thankfully my brother was around to help him up, administer his morning medication and offer some breakfast.
No response (no one wants to answer) to phone calls to seek advice/help over:
a) what has happened
b) how to remove overnight
bag
c) why no call to advise
So at present this is not a service or value for the taxpayer.

AMG has been an absolute lifesaver to us as a family. They have been looking after my Mum on and off since she had a fall a year ago. Since that time she has been diagnosed with dementia and has significantly deteriorated health-wise and in her ability to care for herself. AMG now come in four times
daily and provides invaluable support to my Dad who is her primary carer. They have built a lovely relationship with her and genuinely care about how she is. She has her favourites who always make her smile and are able to get her to eat more than we possibly can! They are also able to offer invaluable advice to us about Mum's care and have been an enormous support to us all. Thank you.

My 94-year-old dad required two carers four times a day. There are fully disclosed cameras at the property. One duo made snide comments about the house and food made by myself for dad. They were bolshy and rude to my brother on more than one occasion and threw away food that they deemed out of date
which was actually food that had been previously frozen. Understanding that they might have been trying to act in dad's interest, we put a note on the fridge asking them not to do this and explaining why but on the very next call, having acknowledged the note, they threw more away in defiance. Worse still, video footage showed one carer using dad's personal care wash bowl to wash breakfast dishes in immediately after she had emptied the water out from having washed his bottom. I complained via dad's social worker and was assured that they would not visit again but that same day, the same carer walked in as bold as brass. Unpleasant, disrespectful, rude, dirty
and disrespectful.
