Our mum was sent home from the hospital within an hour notice and thankfully the care package that was put in place with Ashbourne services was waiting at my mums home with myself to welcome her home and they helped me with carrying her things from the ambulance, so the lovely ambulance men could assist
my mum up two flights of stairs into my mum's flat, then the carers x2 settled my mum into bed and made her feel relaxed. The team have gone above and beyond always being happy to see her every time they walk through the door and asking if she's okay and comfortable after every visit
My mum is bed bound and the care they provide is outstanding. My mum looks forward seeing them and waves hello and goodbye.
Also the team in the office have been very supportive especially when my mum had to go back into hospital for her pacemaker to be reset so the team checked up every day incase she was going home and then she returned they started back 4 x a day with two carers. Thank you all so much

We're so pleased we could help make your mum's return home from hospital as smooth and comfortable as possible. It's wonderful to hear that she enjoys seeing the carers and feels relaxed and well supported during each visit.

Your feedback about both our care team and office staff is truly appreciated, and we will be sure to share your comments with them. Thank you again for trusting us with your mum's care - it is a privilege to support her and your family.

My mother moved to Ashbourne around 2.5 years ago, and they have been so good. It is very important for my mother to have regular well trained carers which is what we get, not only that but they have become like friends for my mother.
Would recommend :)

Excellent care given to my mum. The carers are well trained and caring. They are patient especially as my mum Has early Alzheimers. The staff who do the rota listen when i make a request for any chsnges. They listen and are ssympathetic and undersranding. They do send regular carers on request to hrlp
mum as she sees the same carers I would highly recommend Ashbourne to anyone looking for home care anytime. I would give them 10 out of 10 .

Providing patient, consistent, and compassionate care-especially for those living with early Alzheimer's-is extremely important to us. We're pleased that your mum feels comfortable with familiar carers and that our office team has been able to listen and support your requests.

Thank you for your recommendation and 10/10 rating.

We have 4 visits a day with 2 staff.
Would not recommend this agency at all.
The reasons as follows:
Staff like to appear when they want (not contracted times).
Strip washes are seldom undertaken (wet wipes are used all over instead of using a bowl/soap and flannel).
Suggest locking all cabinets
as some like to look into these.
Not sure if any compulsory basic training is undertaken by management for staff (staff seem to train each other).
Basic food hygiene was not observed (difficulty opening tins with a tin opener/using a basic microwave and following food manufacturer cooking instructions).
Some staff very rude.
Management very bad (rude at times).
Property has been destroyed/smashed (white goods and window pane smashed).
Medication is sometimes forgotten, once discarded with 3 weeks left to run.
Doors have been left unlocked on many occasions (fridge defrosted many times).
PPE and ID are seldom used worn/badges).
Reply from Suk Maal, Manager at Ashbourne Healthcare ServicesDear Lee
Thank you for taking the time to bring your experience to our attention. We appreciate that this is your view on the service we provide, but would like to clarify that these matters have already been fully investigated by us and independently by the Social Worker, and found to be unfounded. We understand that you do not agree with the outcomes and would welcome further engagement with you. At Ashbourne Healthcare Services, we strive to provide an outstanding quality of care and improve our service user's experience wherever possible. Once again, we are very sorry that you feel the experience did not meet your expectations. I have escalated your comments to our senior managers who be in touch very soon.
Kindest regards
Suk Maal,
Ashbourne Healthcare Services.

Staff are pleasant and willing. My speech is hard to understand but they took the time to figure out what I said. They always try to provide staff when they can. In the six months that I used them, I was never let down. Sometimes staff appear to be under pressure because they have so many clients which
has its advantages and disadvantages. In general, I would recommend Ashbourne Healthcare.

We find the agency to be very pleasant and helpful when we request anything. The carers we have are very polite and pleasant and most importantly they do whatever we ask them to do. It's pleasant to have them in our home which makes it more pleasant to deal with the situation.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.3 (9.250) out of 10 for Ashbourne Healthcare Services is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 4 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Home Care Provider is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 5.000 for Ashbourne Healthcare Services is calculated as follows: ( (22 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 22 Ratings = 5
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

    The 5 points available are broken down as follows: 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.5 Points for the second and third Positive Reviews, 0.25 Points for each of the next two Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3, 2nd = 0.5, 3rd = 0.5, 4th = 0.25, 5th = 0.25, 6th = 0.05, 7th = 0.05, 8th = 0.05, 9th = 0.05, 10th = 0.05, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025)

The 5 points relating to the number of Positive Reviews for Ashbourne Healthcare Services is based on 4 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as follows: 3 + 0.5 + 0.5 + 0.25 = 4.25
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Home Care Provider does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
