Barnfield Homecare (Stratford & Tamworth)

We had a wonderful live in carer from Barnfield who became part of the family. He looked after my father for about 15 months during his latter stages of dementia. Sometimes he went above and beyond supporting my mother as well, who was not an easy person. I would have no hesitation in recommending Barnfield Homecare.

Barnfield were very professional and so reassuring. They took so much of the worry away in caring for mum in her final few months. The manager was always available and helpful in her advice and support. All of the ladies who looked after Mum were warm and friendly, experienced and reassuring. I never felt uncomfortable coming into Mum's flat and I always left feeling happy that Mum was in safe hands. These women are amazing how they come into your life for a short and difficult time and provide so much care and help, they are truly wonderful.

As an only child living some distance away from my mum it has been a real comfort to me to know that mum is well cared for on a daily basis by a professional, caring and respectful team. There is clear communication and support offered for all the little bumps in the road, which sadly happen when someone has dementia. When I visit mum she seems happy and her environment is clean and tidy. Thank you Barnfield team. I would be lost without you, and my mum would have lost her independence.

My Mum was getting very depressed so we entrusted Barnfield carers to take her out one day a week. So far, she has had lots of laughs and giggles she really enjoys the life stories and conversations with the carers. I am very grateful too as it takes the pressure off me for being entirely responsible for making her happy. I care for her 24/7 and having that trip out once a week, makes us both very happy. My mum had several falls an weight loss ,was a big worry for whole family.When my mum was assessed for there service to support her four times a day,they explained everything to me an my mum ,with empathy an made my mum feel like she had control an could make decisions. I have worked in care for many years ,I was very pleased an felt at ease to ask any questions. We are now four months later,mum has regular carer which really helped it took a little while for her to settle but now has no falls an is putting on weight ,with an contact I have made for advice along the way has been first class an always able to speak to someone.It is such a big thing to happen ,an letting people into the home an trusting people with your loved one,but kindness an care my mum is receiving is great,thankyou.

Barnfield Homecare has been looking after my mother for some months now, mainly with the carer living in the house on a full-time basis. Barnfield Homecare has looked after my parents for several years now. The team are excellent, caring, trustworthy and go the extra mile for my parents' personal care. Communication is excellent, from messages and phone calls from carers and management to comprehensive notes left for our review. Great attention to detail, especially checking medications and recommending samples when infections are suspected. All carers have been very attentive and go the extra mile to make sure my mother-in-law is cared for and happy. Highly recommend.

We have just moved to Barnfield Homecare and are absolutely delighted with the quality of care, communication and overall management. All carers are genuine and hard-working and are happy to go the extra mile. We are kept up to date immediately if there is a problem and they all have a pro-active approach to maintaining and improving the quality of life for my disabled mother.

The manager and her team have been instrumental in providing long-term and end-of-life care to my mother, who’d had a rare, complex and entirely debilitating illness. During Covid, they managed to keep our support bubble safe and tight. They have also showed understanding of my mum’s needs and endeavoured to provide experienced and suitable carers when she really needed them.

All staff are very pleasant, and work hard.

For reasons already explained, we are quite anxious to switch to a later evening time slot as soon as an opportunity allows.

Professional and caring in a friendly way while dealing with clients, who can be quite difficult. Carer has a listening ear and observant eyes which makes for a good relationship. Barnfield care is a truly caring care agency, not only for the client but for the whole family.

I have been very pleased with the service received for my mom. The only thing that did stand out was when mom had single caregivers the time would clash, as in time for meals we one incident where one carer came in for dinner and the t-time carer came in as the dinner time carer left
