We have a meal visit daily and housekeeping twice a week. My mum has accepted the care workers very well and seems to like them. On the whole good. Mum has regular care workers, with only infrequent changes due to holidays etc, which is excellent in covid times with staff shortages.
Thank you for the feedback, it is much appreciated. If you feel that there is anything further we could be doing to get 5* across the board please do not hesitate to contact us!
Even when she is not at her best they help her through her downtimes with personal support that goes way beyond what we expected.
There is an ongoing process of written communication that keeps us all fully informed of Mum's daily history and if anything unexpected occurs we receive a call to give us an immediate update.
My mum’s live-in carer is amazing. She is constantly looking for ways to meet very changing needs to make Mum’s quality of life as good as possible. After a recent head massage, Mum said she felt like a princess!
Thank you for the feedback; it is very much appreciated!
Mum has been a client of Bluebird Care since August 2008, her needs have of course changed over this time as she has morphed from a disabled woman, part of a loving marriage, to a widow with hugely complex needs. During this time she has been consistently cared for with the utmost kindness, respect and skill. Bluebird have excellent policy and practice, training and deploying staff so they can provide this excellent standard of care, and very importantly continuity of care, given by carers who know and value mum as a delightful individual.
Mum is now 90 years old, is living in her own home, surrounded by her own possessions and her cat, in a house she has loved from the first day she saw it over 40 years ago. This can only be maintained because of the quality of care provided by Bluebird. A huge thank you from Mum for facilitating her life, and a huge thank you from me, for enabling me to be a daughter as well as a carer.
Well done for a great job!
Thank you for the feedback ! It is very much appreciated!
Like everyone, I didn’t know what to expect when choosing a care provider for my Dad, however, I can honestly say they have not let me down. I know Dad will eventually need residential care but using Bluebird has given my Dad another 1-2 years of independent living which is what he wants.
Cannot recommend them highly enough.
Helpful and flexible.
Bluebird (Bury) have been really great with caring for my mum in her everyday needs. Admin are really helpful and they always accommodate my mum's needs, even at short notice. If my mum ever has a problem they always ring me to let me know. Thank you to everyone at Bluebird (Bury).
Dear Karen, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review on behalf of your mum. The feedback is highly appreciated.
I have also been impressed by their administration. It is also easy to get in touch with someone. If mistakes are made (only very rarely) they are readily corrected.
Bluebird are caring, responsive and flexible.
The carers are well trained and actually seem to care. The travelling time between clients is often not enough and it doesn't take account of the time of day. A late carer without explanation is very stressful. Note - my only complaint.
The caring professional staff came three times a day to my Father. They carried out their requested duties with care, ensuring Dad was clean, fed, medication given, leaving him comfortable and warm. They treated him with dignity and respect.
Great care, very professional.
I am very satisfied with the care and helpfulness of your employee and in particular, with her help with my wife who suffers from Alzheimer's.
Keep up the good work Bluebird, I couldn't have managed without you.
I am very happy with the support as it helps me a lot as well as my aunt and enables her to live at home.
The manager is very helpful and assists me to plan for my aunt including attending meetings to support us.
I am able to organise additional care when I need it which is very flexible.
Bluebird have been brilliant with my Mum and me. She gets carers she knows and any new carers are introduced rather than showing up. Communication is great and honest and the team including the admin support show flexibility and pragmatism. The most important thing though, is that I feel Mum is safe with the team. They do match the carers to the person and if I've been around when Mum is with the Bluebird carers, I can hear her laughing. I got Bluebird from a word of mouth recommendation and all I can say is that I can see why someone was confident to recommend them and I'm happy to do the same.
The care that Bluebird give my wife is second to none, the staff and management are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble, and always on time. We feel very comfortable with the staff when they are in our home and they leave everything tidy - can't fault them.
My Grandfather needed some short aftercare after a fall to get him back on his feet, the staff were excellent, prompt timekeeping and always willing to do that little bit extra. My Grandfather is well enough now, but I will be using Bluebird again in the future when we need that extra help. Thanks once again for all your help.
Staff are very professional and respectful. Very kind and helpful. They always arrive promptly and if delayed always make contact to inform. Would definitely recommend this care agency.
My experience with working with Bluebird Care Bury has been one of exceptional both in terms of care provided to my mother but also the professional approach they have with relatives etc.
It is Mum and Dads wish that they remain in their own home and we are very aware that without the dedication, diligence and care that Bluebird provides, this is a wish that we would truly struggle to fulfil.

Mobishir Rawthore has a wealth of experience running a business, having previously been a director of Glancy Rawthore Graphics for over 25 years. Looking for a change in direction and wanting to work in an industry where he would be able to make a difference to people’s lives, he decided to take over Bluebird Care Bury & Bolton in May 2016.
Mobi, as he is affectionately known, has a passion to deliver high-quality care into the community, working with his care management team to ensure that the systems and processes are in place to deliver the type of care “which I would want for my family or relatives”. He takes the lead role within the management team to ensure that the team is meeting CQC standards and that staff are fully supported in personal development by certified training.
Mobi ensures that all staff understand the importance of working in the care sector and putting the customer first. It is of the utmost importance to him that we allow the customers to receive homecare and support while remaining in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes. This is so we can enable our customers to keep their independence for as long as possible.
Mobi is married to Cath and has two Daughters, Kate and Ella. In his spare time, he is a keen golfer and represents Cheshire County Seniors. He has always been an avid sportsman, having played badminton for Lancashire County for over 15 years.
Our Registered Manager, Christopher Turner, joined Bluebird Care Bury & Bolton in December 2010 as a care worker and quickly built a reputation for the quality of his care and support, his excellent work ethic, professional manner and, most of all, his popularity with our customers.
Although busy both in the office and at home with his partner and two young children, Chris has been successful in obtaining his CMI Level 7 in Leadership and Management.
Christopher left Bluebird Care Bury & Bolton for a short period of time at the end of 2018. He was offered a position as a regional manager for a nationwide Live-in Care company. It was a fantastic opportunity for Christopher to gain more experience, and he enjoyed his time there; however, when the opportunity arose for Christopher to return to Bluebird Care Bury & Bolton as General Manager, he was excited to come back and take on a new challenge.
Kate Rawthore joined Bluebird Care in July 2017 and has played a pivotal role in the growth, development, and success of the business ever since. As our Business Development & Operations Manager, Kate is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the service while driving strategic growth and ensuring the highest standards of care are consistently delivered across the organisation.
After completing her degree in Education, Kate returned to Manchester with a passion for helping others and making a meaningful difference in people's lives. Throughout her studies, she worked with a wide range of children and young people in various settings, including a specialist school supporting children with special educational needs and disabilities. This experience ignited her passion for care and support, and reinforced her desire to build a career focused on improving the lives of others.
"Seeing the positive impact I could have on the development and well-being of the children I worked with was incredibly rewarding. It made me realise that I wanted a career where I could continue supporting people, building relationships, and making a real difference every day."
Over the years, Kate has become a driving force within the business, combining her compassionate approach with strong operational and leadership skills. She works closely with customers and their families to ensure every individual receives care that is tailored to their needs, preferences, and goals. At the same time, she oversees operational performance, service quality, customer satisfaction, compliance, recruitment, and business development initiatives that help the organisation continue to grow and evolve.

Her commitment to maintaining high standards has helped create a culture centred around quality, professionalism, and person-centred care.
As the daughter of Bluebird Care Director Mobishir Rawthore, Kate has grown alongside the business and shares a deep commitment to its values and vision. Working closely with her father and the wider leadership team, she is dedicated to ensuring Bluebird Care continues to deliver outstanding care experiences while supporting the development of both customers and colleagues.
