I enjoyed the party in bluebird office it was a great day out getting to see new members of staff and office staff.
Thank you for sharing your experience. Its wonderful to hear that you are happy with the care provided and that our team are making a positive impression with their friendliness and presentation. Were especially pleased you enjoyed the recent event bringing people together is something we really value, and its great to know it was such a positive day.
Staff have been very helpful and kindly and it is reassuring for my family to know that I get regular visits and that I am safe. I have a planned schedule for each week sent to me in advance so I know who will visit each day
Thank you for your kind words. Were so pleased to hear that you feel safe, supported and reassured by the care you receive. Providing clear communication, including advance visit schedules, is an important part of helping people feel comfortable and in control, and its lovely to know this is making a difference for you and your family.
Contacted Bluebird with my Care requirements. Person acted swiftly and diligently to put in place package that suited my needs. Assessment carried out quickly and arrangements put in place within a matter of days. Well done to the team for supporting me and my mother in a time of need.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such positive feedback. We understand how important it is to put the right care in place quickly, especially at a time of need, so its really encouraging to hear that the team were able to support both you and your mother so efficiently. Your comments will mean a great deal to everyone involved.
Having been with bluebird care for over 16 years I can say they supply a high standard of care my carers are professional and experienced in all and get on going training I get regular reviews and are able to contact the office if there any issues
Thank you for your continued trust over the years and for sharing your experience. It means a great deal to us to have supported you for such a long time. Were delighted to hear that you value the professionalism of our carers, their ongoing training, and the regular reviews we provide. Ensuring you feel well cared for and able to reach us whenever needed remains our priority.
We have used Bluebird Care for a year now, whilst they supply a 24 hour live in care package for our mum. They have been brilliant to deal with. Kind, caring, responsive and professional. We have been very lucky with our carers and they all seem to enjoy their job and the support the company offers. The company themselves are very good to deal with. They are friendly, have great training and safety protocols in place and communicate well. My mum has responded well to the care package and amazing that this has allowed her to stay in the comfort of her own home. Long may this arrangement continue. Would definitely recommend to others.

Really great service. The carers are always friendly and they do an exceptional job. My wife and I have seen our lives substantially improve since signing on.

It's truly rewarding to know that our teams friendliness and dedication have made a difference. We're here to continue providing exceptional care and support and we're grateful to have you as part of our community!
My contact with carers has been satisfactory. Despite my age, I prefer to look after myself as much as I can. Without practical help I would find it difficult or impossible to manage. However, one occasion, the company has sent somebody that should have been employed with this type of work however that's care. Mostly, the staff are kind and considerate.
Thank you for sharing your experience. We're glad to hear our services help you maintain your independence and that you find our staff mostly kind and considerate. We sincerely apologise for the one occasion where we did not meet your expectations. Once we became aware of the issue, we acted...
Everything is going fine - no issues or concerns. All carers are most helpful.
Thank you so much for taking the time to submit this review. We appreciate you have told us your thoughts on our service, but this evidence is needed in writing. I will be sure to share your kind words with the team. Your feedback is really important to us and helps others find highly rated care services when needed, so thank you again.
I have had care from Bluebird Care for a year now and have found it very satisfactory. I'm very independent and didn't think I needed help - yet - but my son and daughter-in-law were insistent that I at least tried it. I have been pleasantly surprised that I find it very helpful and have a very thoughtful, helpful and cheerful carer. I can see that when I need more care I will be happy to ask for more assistance.

Excellent experience, all carers are very helpful and willing to work as needed. Everyone looks neat and tidy.
Thanks very much for taking the time to review our services which we will use to give feedback to our entire team. It's really important for us to hear all about our customers' experiences and views as we can only get better by listening. We will be in touch to discuss the aspects where you don't feel merit 5/5.
The care staff are great, proactive and flexible to our friend's changing needs. Having one main carer who knows our friend well also helps.
We just started care several weeks ago but so far, have nothing but praise for the carers and the service.
Thank you so much for this glowing review. It means the world to all of us that we are making a difference not only with your friend but that our customer service when contacting the office - even out of hours is five-star. We will share this with our team right away.
Bluebird Care has been excellent in supporting my mum who has been diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Their care gives the family peace of mind. She sees the same carer once a week. Mum really enjoys the carer's visits and enjoys a coffee and a chat. The carer will also turn her hand to anything Mum needs done and will assist with a hair wash/shower etc. The family have decided to increase Mum's visits so that more household duties could be completed. This means our time with Mum is "quality time" and we can take her out and do the "fun" things! Any communication I have had with the supervisor and the coordinator at Bluebird have been excellent. The support is appreciated so much and makes a huge difference to me. Five stars all round!
Thank you so much for this glowing review. It means the world to all of us that we are making a difference to all of you. Love that the "fun" things and quality time are being enjoyed. We will share this with our team right away.
I found Bluebird Care listened well to the care I judged was needed. They were responsive and remarkably flexible about meeting our particular needs. The carer they provided was courteous and looked after us - as well as our mother. I don’t think the family could have done what we did without the professional support and expertise of Bluebird. They are very client-centred.
Thank you for your kind words which we will share with our team. Your feedback inspires us to continue delivering excellent care and we are grateful for your trust in us.
Got matched for support very quickly. We have 2 x 1 hour companionship visits to allow me to have some respite time. All of the carers have been very kind, caring and considerate. Built up very good rapport with all carers quickly. Generally have 2/3 regular carers. Very happy to leave my partner in their care. The support from the office is also very good. Timely phone calls if there needs to be any changes to agreed arrangements.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a lovely review. We're so pleased that we've been able to take care of your partner but most importantly allow you the respite time. We pride ourselves on delivering the very best care so please do speak to our team if you have any feedback on how we can gain 5/5 across the board.
Extremely poor service recently. Left a message for a carer not to call yesterday but still turned up. Very inconvenient and poorly managed company (at least here in Edinburgh). I was aghast at how poorly their care has been for my mother. They only seem to be interested in money rather than service.
Thank you for taking the time to speak with our supervisor about this review and we appreciate and understand your feeling of frustration when you wrote this. As we discussed, when you cancel visits with little notice, sometimes our care teams have busy mornings and like on this occasion, didn't...
We find the carers to be kind and compassionate to my mother’s requirements. We normally get the same professional team. The managers also keep in touch with me regularly to advise what is happening with the service they are providing.
Thank you for your kind words and positive review. Your feedback inspires us to continue delivering excellent care and exceeding expectations. We are grateful for your support and trust in us and will share this with all the team involved in your care.
I am very grateful for the care we receive from Bluebird Care without whom my father would not have been discharged from the hospital. It is good to have him home and in the good hands of capable carers to bathe, dress and attend to his catheter. Thank you.
Thank you for taking the time to review our care at home service for your father, it must be such a relief to have him back in his own home, being looked after by caring professional carers. I'm happy to discuss with you your thoughts on how we as a service, can get the 5 stars for the other areas...
I can honestly say my mum's carers have been amazing. They have built up a good relationship and tend to her every need! They are reliable and compassionate and although my mum was reluctant at first, she wouldn't be without them now.
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us such a lovely review. We are really pleased to hear that we have changed mum's mind about her help at home allowing her to live independently at home. Your kind words will be shared with the team involved in mum's care as this matters so much to us all.

Meet the Team (10)
Jane Perry started her home care journey with her husband, John back in 2008 when she purchased Bluebird Care Edinburgh.
Over the years, Jane has worked tirelessly to ensure she has a good team around her with the same passion for delivering high-quality, person-centric home care.
She got involved in the care sector as when she was looking for home care for her grandmother in Glasgow back in 2008, she was appalled at the lack of knowledge, services, and general attitude of the companies she contacted. This set off a ‘light bulb’ moment.
After extensive research, she chose Bluebird Care as they shared her ethos of providing a good old-fashioned service along with the ongoing support required to get her business up and running.
With Jane’s strong leadership together with her management team, she ensures that the interests and well-being of all customers and her team are met. Working with multidisciplinary teams and integrating with other leaders in the Social Care sector, Jane is as driven now as she ever was, to deliver the best, home care services possible.
Outside of work, Jane lives in the South of Edinburgh with her husband John. She loves listening to music, good food and wine, spending time with her family, and let’s not forget taking her dog (and best friend), Robbie for various walks to the woods and the beach.
John has worked in customer-facing and account management roles for over 35 years and is acutely aware of the importance of good customer service and the impact that it can have.
With John’s knowledge and experience, you’ll normally find that he’s the first point of contact when someone is looking for care for themselves or a loved one. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about providing a solution for every customer who is looking for a care package. He always takes the time to understand the customer’s needs, ensuring they have all the information required to make an informed decision about who cares for either themselves or their loved ones.
His other interests are listening to to 70s & 80’s soul music.
Geraldine joined the care sector at the age of seventeen as a Care Assistant in a private residential setting working alongside adults and children with learning disabilities. She worked there while attending University to complete my Honours degree in Applied Social Studies. After obtaining her qualification, she moved to Scotland from Ireland and joined the Care at Home sector and states she has never looked back.
As Registered Manager, Geraldine spends her time empowering her team, and always ensuring the quality and compliance remains high. She is passionate about delivering high-quality homecare service to people within the community and is honoured to be a part of the Bluebird Care team.
Outside of work, you will find Geraldine spending time with her family, returning to Ireland as often as she can, reading and yoga.
Ashley has a deep passion for working in the care sector, and what she loves most about it is that no two days are ever the same. Each day brings new challenges and opportunities, which keeps her engaged and motivated. She finds immense fulfilment in being able to help people remain in their own homes, surrounded by the comforts and familiarity that make them feel safe and happy. To her, the ability to support individuals to live independently, while maintaining their dignity and comfort, is incredibly rewarding.
Outside of work, Ashley leads an active and fulfilling life. She enjoys spending quality time with her children, exploring new places and creating lasting memories together. In addition to this, Ashley has a passion for horses and often spends time on the yard caring for them.
Ashley’s dedication to her work and her personal life is a testament to her strong work ethic and her commitment to the people she cares for. Her enthusiasm for helping others, coupled with her ongoing professional development, makes her a valued member of Bluebird Care Edinburgh and an inspiration to those around her.
Aoife began her career with Bluebird Care in 2022, shortly after relocating from the west of Ireland to Edinburgh. She started as a Care Assistant and quickly demonstrated her dedication and passion for the role. In July 2024, Aoife progressed to the position of Care Supervisor for the North East of Edinburgh, a role she finds incredibly rewarding. What Aoife loves most about working in care is being part of a team that makes a real difference in people’s lives. She takes great pride in helping individuals remain in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes, where they feel safe and supported. For Aoife, the opportunity to contribute to someone’s independence and wellbeing is both meaningful and fulfilling. Outside of work, Aoife enjoys travelling; whether it’s revisiting favourite spots in Ireland and Scotland or exploring new destinations further afield. She recently returned from a trip of a lifetime across South East Asia.
When she’s not travelling, Aoife loves sea swimming, cooking, and relaxing with a bit of reality TV. Aoife’s commitment to her role and her enthusiasm for helping others make her a valued member of the Bluebird Care team. Her journey from Care Assistant to Care Supervisor is a testament to her hard work and passion for the care sector.
Currently working towards her SVQ Level 4 qualification, Chelsea is constantly seeking opportunities to enhance her skills and deepen her expertise in the care sector. Her "Tetris brain" allows her to thrive in her coordinating role, as she enjoys the complex challenge of organizing people and resources to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients and colleagues alike. The joy she finds in problem-solving and optimizing processes is matched only by her genuine love for helping people—this is the foundation of her work and why she remains so passionate about the care industry.
Beyond her professional life, Chelsea is an advocate for charity work and giving back to her community. She has a history of taking on physical challenges to raise money for important causes, including shaving her hair for Cancer Research, completing the Pretty Muddy 5K, and in May 2025 she is walking 83 miles for Alzheimer Scotland. Chelsea’s commitment to making a positive impact extends far beyond her job, as she strives to create a better world both at work and in her personal life.
When she’s not coordinating, you can find Chelsea enjoying music, exploring new food experiences, and embracing the outdoors. She values maintaining a healthy work-life balance while continuing to contribute to the wellbeing of others in everything she does.
John has worked in the care sector for over 18 years; he has worked in private, residential and care at home. His journey started as a support worker with ILS where he progressed to senior carer.
He completed his SVQ level 3 and then moved to Hansel Alliance where he worked with young adults with complex care needs. During his time here, he progressed to coordinator and later the manual handling trainer.
After that, he moved on to be a personal assistant for a young man who was nonverbal with complex autism, but he missed the training side, so he moved to Carewatch where he was training manager for 6 years.
He enjoys training because he feels he can give people the best knowledge and understanding to provide high-quality care. Learning from his experiences, he likes to laugh during training to ensure that it keeps fun to allows people to retain more.
In his spare time, he likes to play pool, and clay pigeon shooting, and he does dabble in buying and selling antiques and collectables.
