The carer visits for 6 hours every Thursday to let my dad go walking with his pal. Mum and her carer have visited art galleries and botanical gardens which my mum loves. She is imaginative and varied in her socialisation activities and we have seen an improvement in Mum's cognitive abilities reduction of anxiety and improved communication as a result.
Thanks to you for your support.

Our aim was to ensure mums safety and comfort allowing her to stay in her own home. We have increased her "package" but 3 weeks in, my sister and I are reassured by the care mum is receiving and knowing she is safe and comfortable. It is a huge relief for us.
The staff are building up a good relationship with Mum. From this first 3 weeks, we are reassured mum is safe and well cared for. Communication between us, the management team and mums carers has been excellent.
Thank you for your very kind and thoughtful comments, I will pass these on to the team.
Thank you very much for your very kind comments. I will pass these on to the relevant staff involved in the care of your husband. We will continue to work extremely hard to maintain these high levels and we appreciate the faith you place in us.

Over the years, Jane has worked tirelessly to ensure she has a good team around her with the same passion for delivering high-quality, person-centric home care.
She got involved in the care sector as when she was looking for home care for her grandmother in Glasgow back in 2008, she was appalled at the lack of knowledge, services, and general attitude of the companies she contacted. This set off a ‘light bulb’ moment.
After extensive research, she chose Bluebird Care as they shared her ethos of providing a good old-fashioned service along with the ongoing support required to get her business up and running.
With Jane’s strong leadership together with her management team, she ensures that the interests and well-being of all customers and her team are met. Working with multidisciplinary teams and integrating with other leaders in the Social Care sector, Jane is as driven now as she ever was, to deliver the best, home care services possible.
Outside of work, Jane lives in the South of Edinburgh with her husband John. She loves listening to music, good food and wine, spending time with her family, and let’s not forget taking her dog (and best friend), Robbie for various walks to the woods and the beach.
John has worked in customer-facing and account management roles for over 35 years and is acutely aware of the importance of good customer service and the impact that it can have.
With John’s knowledge and experience, you’ll normally find that he’s the first point of contact when someone is looking for care for themselves or a loved one. He is friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about providing a solution for every customer who is looking for a care package. He always takes the time to understand the customer’s needs, ensuring they have all the information required to make an informed decision about who cares for either themselves or their loved ones.
Outside of work, John is happily married to the lovely Jane and loves spending time with his family. He has 2 boys Nick and Adam along with 2 beautiful granddaughters, Eva and Alyssa. He loves football and supports his local team Hibs. He is also a very keen golfer, where he is a member of Broomieknowe Golf Club and plays of a handicap of 6.
His other interests are listening to to 70s & 80’s soul music.

Chelsea has been dedicated to the care sector since 2019, following her search for a new challenge after maternity leave. Originally from Cornwall, she relocated to Edinburgh with her husband, where she quickly found her passion for helping others. Chelsea began her career as a care assistant, where she developed a deep understanding of the industry, and has since progressed through roles as a supervisor and now as a coordinator. This progression reflects her unwavering commitment to improving the lives of those she serves and her drive for personal and professional growth.
Currently working towards her SVQ Level 4 qualification, Chelsea is constantly seeking opportunities to enhance her skills and deepen her expertise in the care sector. Her "Tetris brain" allows her to thrive in her coordinating role, as she enjoys the complex challenge of organizing people and resources to ensure the best possible outcomes for clients and colleagues alike. The joy she finds in problem-solving and optimizing processes is matched only by her genuine love for helping people—this is the foundation of her work and why she remains so passionate about the care industry.
Beyond her professional life, Chelsea is an advocate for charity work and giving back to her community. She has a history of taking on physical challenges to raise money for important causes, including shaving her hair for Cancer Research, completing the Pretty Muddy 5K, and in May 2025 she is walking 83 miles for Alzheimer Scotland. Chelsea’s commitment to making a positive impact extends far beyond her job, as she strives to create a better world both at work and in her personal life.
When she’s not coordinating, you can find Chelsea enjoying music, exploring new food experiences, and embracing the outdoors. She values maintaining a healthy work-life balance while continuing to contribute to the wellbeing of others in everything she does.
John has worked in the care sector for over 18 years; he has worked in private, residential and care at home. His journey started as a support worker with ILS where he progressed to senior carer.
He completed his SVQ level 3 and then moved to Hansel Alliance where he worked with young adults with complex care needs. During his time here, he progressed to coordinator and later the manual handling trainer.
After that, he moved on to be a personal assistant for a young man who was nonverbal with complex autism, but he missed the training side, so he moved to Carewatch where he was training manager for 6 years.
He enjoys training because he feels he can give people the best knowledge and understanding to provide high-quality care. Learning from his experiences, he likes to laugh during training to ensure that it keeps fun to allows people to retain more.
In his spare time, he likes to play pool, and clay pigeon shooting, and he does dabble in buying and selling antiques and collectables.
